We waited a while to be seated even though the place was empty, and then once seated a waiter came to take our order but more than 30min passed and there was no sign of our food. I frequent the Rainforest Cafe with my toddler at least twice a month. The ambience is objectively terrific, what kid (and adult, quite frankly) isn't totally enchanted by the wild surroundings? Unfortunately, the thrill of each visit has historically ended here. The food has been decent, but the service ranging from poor to absolutely abysmal. That all changed last night with our server, Emily. She was terrific. Friendly, responsive, on top of her game. Our food was delivered quickly and she handled all extra requests immediately. Like I mentioned, we visit the restaurant often and have yet to have a server that stood out as a true professional like Emily did. She shifted my view on the establishment as a whole- while visits in the past were done so begrudgingly at the request of my toddler, I now am looking forward to our next one. read more

A fun atmosphere and great for children and families. Very easy to join the waitlist up front and the staff was extremely friendly as well. We were seated in under a hour on a Saturday night which was better than what we were expecting. I ordered a strawberry mojito from their souvenir drinks menu. It was delicious but tasted more like a daiquiri than a mojito. Next we ordered the coconut fried shrimp and the rainforest burger. I was disappointed in the rainforest burger as it was plain and the meat was dry. The fries were okay. The coconut shrimp was good, not anything special. Luckily we ordered the Lava cake, and it was absolutely perfect. Caramel, chocolate, fudge, this combo can never really go wrong. Way too big to order for two people. We couldn't finish it as we originally thought it was small. Felt like this was more for the experience than the food. Made for families and large groups. Let me first start by saying that the location of this place is just... terrible. Sawgrass is a sh*t show and I knew this before taking my family but wanted our three year old to experience RFC. We made reservations, and thank goodness we did because they are just constantly getting walk ups. We arrived about 10 min before our reservation time and were sat promptly at the time of our reservation. Hostess was nice and was clear on instructions upon getting sat. The woman's bathroom was filthy. FILTHY and just was smelly. Not a great way to start out dining experience. Our server was very nice but I initially felt like she was rushing us to order. Perhaps it was because the food was taking a while to come out but she could have told us that and we would have chosen quickly. The overall atmosphere is great for kids. Our daughter loved the animals and enjoyed her food. I like how they have the kids menu layed out, and served on kids plates, that was a huge plus for me. Our food did take a while which was fine, but it was decent and the portions were generous. My husband had two margaritas and said both were good. Food is priced fair in my opinion w the exception of the volcano dessert which was not good and $20. So many suggestions to make it better but 100% don't waste your $ on that part. I've been. Coming here on and off since I was little so I wanted to take my daughter although she's still too little she loved the thunderstorm sound and looking at all the animals. The food is always pricy. But pretty good. I got a bacon burger which was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of cheese bacon and bbq sauce. The fries are basic fries. We had a reservation for 6 pm today and were seated fairly promptly. However, we have now been waiting and waiting for our server who finally came after 25 minutes. We ordered our food and drinks and water did not arrive for another 10 minutes. If you do the math, that's 35 plus minutes to obtain a glass of water! The service is horrendous and to top it off the waiter had a terrible attitude. Not sure why Alex even works here since he clearly hates it. Today my family and I have been at this location. When we did reservation at the front desk, an employee said you suppose to wait 1.5 hour to have a seat and we walked around the Plaza. In 1.5 hour we came back and another front desk employee said you have to wait another 45 minutes and we were waiting. It was another half hour until our entrees came out and everything was lukewarm. The BBQ Bacon Cheese burger (medium) was dry. The shrimp for the Shrimp platter tasted fishy and old. Worst experience at I restaurant I have had in a while. While waiting for our table for about 20 minutes after already having a reservation, the hostess greets my party, is about to walk us to our table then the phone rings and she completely switches her direction/focus and is on the phone for 10 minutes while my party is standing there confused. Once at our table there was confusion regarding who are server would be for over an additional 20 minutes. Our alcoholic drinks were full of sugar water and Our food orders came out at different times, so much so that we had to cancel TWO orders and order jimmy John's on the way home. Unprofessional staff, untrained personal, I can make better alcoholic drinks than the "bartender", dirty/sticky surfaces everywhere, dust galore, smelly carpet, overpriced food and "drinks", the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It was a rocky start when our party of 6 arrived (3 small kids) waiting a bit for high hairs but shortly our server Emily arrived and she quickly brought the chairs and kicked off a WONDERFUL experience. I came here for lunch while visiting a family member in Coral Springs. It is in a big mall that has an outdoor and indoor section. The restaurant is so inviting the moment you see it in the mall. The staff was nice and the decor was so interesting/fun. This place is more of a touristy place which is a good place to take people out on vacation. The food was decent not amazing but decent. Well I happened to be back in Sunrise for a few days after a cruise and was in the mall so my family and I stopped back in for another lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. The menu had a few changes but as it was lunch time and I was in Florida I had to order the cuban sandwich. The service was good on this visit and the sandwich was pretty large but I was pretty hungry. I ordered the fries as I didn't see the black beans on the menu any longer. The only reason I would see to go here is for the ambiance and not even. The food is extremely overpriced and lacking flavor. The server wasn't paying attention to us, we had to call him over every time we wanted water. When we were done with plates, we stacked them. Regardless, he did not take them until we asked for the check. The toys in the giftshop were cute but also overpriced, a simple plush was $30. As for the ambiance, it was nice. The food was not good nor worth the price. It cost almost $30 for one meal. The waitress we had was very rude and not polite. She asked us if we ranged change back and when my husband said yes she seemed surprised and annoyed. It took her almost ten minutes to bring us $4 back in change and when she did she tossed it on the table, not saying anything to us nor looking at us. Other than that the decor was fabulous and loved the whole theme of the place. Could still use a lot of improvement. i decided to give this restaurant one more opportunity after having a bad experience a few months prior to this visit. My 6 year old daughter loves this place, but even after today she agrees to never come back. First and foremost the wait times here are ridiculous and inaccurate. You might as well add 20-30 minutes to what they tell you. For us it was a 50 min wait and we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes, only after telling us it would be a few more minutes a couple of times. Once we sat down, it literally took someone 10 minutes to grab our drink order. Due to the long wait time we decided to order our food right away. The person who took our first order was different than our second person, and that added to some confusion. At this point it was two hours into our experience and we were all done. My daughter wanted to leave and the other people we were with were just as annoyed. The service, food, and wait time are all poor and you can literally go to the food court and get better service and food quality. Save yourself some money and aggravation and choose somewhere else. if you want something kid friendly I would try Johnny rocket instead. read more

We had to walk through the shop to the restaurant where someone was waiting. We were immediately sat and greeted, which was nice. When the servers brought our waters, we ordered 2 cocktails and an app (spinach dip). She brought out our cocktails and we ordered our main dishes. After about 20 min, our app still wasn't out and we had to ask another worker to check on it. Shortly after, our server brought out our app and explained that she was the only one taking tables, delivering food, making drinks, etc. Our main course took another 15-20 minutes after that. The food was okay, not amazing but not terrible. A bit pricey though, $22 for a burger. read more

I used to love Rainforest Cafes as a kid and then avoid them like the plague as an adult. Now with kids, it becomes mandatory that we need to go at least once when we are in close proximity. So we decided to check this one out. First off, they have their fish tanks still which is a plus. Unfortunately, many locations have Removed their fish tanks to save $$ which is unfortunate. I will say, this location has a great layout in terms of animatronic animals and special effects. No matter where you sit you have a good view of at least two animatronics. Animatronic animals at this location include tigers, gorillas, and elephants. I have been to some locations where you sit in a corner and see nothing, which is frustrating since that is why you are here and paying extra $$ for mediocre food. In terms of the food at this location, it was pretty standard but pretty good. I had the Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich and it was pretty good. My wife had the Mojo Ribs and they were actually pretty good. The staff and floor manager where great with my kids. Very friendly and very kind, my kids had a blast. I had to knick a couple stars off of my review though because it took over an hour to get our food. Our kids were going nuts by the time we got their food. I'm not sure if it was due to Covid, our waitress forgot to put our order in, or the kitchen was slow but it was hard on all of us waiting for our food. OK experience that was saved by the floor manager and friendly staff. I hope it was just a fluke that we had to wait for so long for our food. Since it's a RC, you kind of know what you are getting yourself in to. I will say it is worth the experience since you get a good view of the fun while enjoying decent food. read more

My daughter and her 2 friends went to relive some nostalgia at the Rainforest Cafe! Unfortunately this happy trip down memory lane was cut short after they caught some unwarranted attitude from their waitress. My daughter's friend is newly 21, and was asking about some drink options that weren't too sweet. They were met with the most unbelievable attitude caught by someone who works in the service industry. This taller much older lady with longer curly hair who somehow was a bartender, took her id, hid it from their view, scrutinized it and said she stood corrected and continued to give attitude as she was embarrassed she was wrong that she assumed she was underage. She purposely ignored them and refused to take their order once they were clearly ready while passing by them multiple times. They ended up leaving without ordering anything else as the service was so reprehensible they couldn't even power through. As someone who's worked in the industry, personal emotions expressed onto patrons is absolutely unacceptable. I hope she has a better day and that stick loosens itself eventually.. if you know what I mean. Lord knows she needs it. read more
