Power control module. I have no idea what the heck that is, but it was under $200 total and it fixed a variety of other issues "Old Faithful" had been exhibiting. Fast. Seemed honest. We parked in the lot by the bay doors and checked in with the service underwriter. He verified some info, asked if we were going to wait. When we said we would get some lunch and return he made a few suggestions of restaurants in walking distance. Very cordial and friendly. After we returned the vehicle was on the lift and we had a seat in their waiting area. We chatted a bit more with the staff who made some recommendations of things to do in the area. These guys were really great. There are many bays in this building. The waiting area is pretty small compared to the number of bays so I guess most people do not wait. There are many dining and shopping options within walking distance. The mechanic seems very knowledgable, made some recommendations, finished up and we were out in fairly good time. We would definitely return to this location when in the area again.

Picked it up the next day and they had put 4 new tires. So I though well maybe they all needed to be replaced and paid almost$1500 for the job. My wife drove the car home and after she got home she said the TPMS light was still on. I looked at the receipt and they claimed I had refused to replace the sensors. I did not get a call from anyone to approve the work or decline it. Also, they did not provide a data sheet for the alignment and the receipt said that there was nothing wrong with the alignment. The reason I had to replace a right front tire was due to an alignment issue. the tire had worn to the point that cords where showing on the inside tread resulting in a tire failure so there had to be a alignment problem. they had all 4 tires changed and they could have changed the sensors at that time and be done with it. But instead they recommend that I spend additional $266.00 to diag. and dismount every tire to install sensors that could have been done with the tire job. They want more money and my time to fix a problem that I asked to be fixed in the first place. Bottom line is I don't trust them and will no longer be using this store for my tire needs in the future. I'll either go to another Firestone location or a Different tire vendor.

The guy at the desk was part of the other shop to the left, and told me the lady for my shop would be back in 30 minutes and she would help me then. Not sure how they can run services when phones are down / front desk person is gone for 1.5 hours or more. I left after 15 min more of waiting in person, and am taking my business elsewhere.

They also snuck a "specialty oil filter" charge in when I drive a Hyundai and don't require a specialty filter. (Have never been charged for an oil filter at any other location. It's ALWAYS included in the price of the oil change) Spoke to manager and he didn't seem to care about losing customers. Said that this location is independently owned and the owner charges more than other locations and charges separately for an oil filter. That's unheard of. Also I asked them to adjust air pressure in my tires. My PSI should be 33 and yet all my tires are reading differently. We take our cars and our teenagers cars here for oil changes but we won't be back. Tired of the greed and they are way more pricey than other locations. *Also want to point out that when I told the manager that the price of the oil filter is advertised as included in the price of the oil change-he stated that other locations advertise that but that they do not. So I went ahead and added a photo pulled DIRECTLY FROM THEIR LOCATION'S WEBSITE that shows it is indeed included in the price of the oil change. So stop being shady.

I scheduled the appointment for the day after Christmas. I told them I would drop the vehicle off on the 26th because I would be out of town and that I would return to pick it up on Jan 2nd. I confirmed that this was doable and that they would be open for the drop off and pick up. I get a call at 8am on the 26th asking if I was still bringing the vehicle in. I told them I would be dropping it off later in the morning and that we had discussed I would pick it up a week later. I brushed it as a misunderstanding, it happens. I arrive the morning of the 2nd to pick up the vehicle and the shop is closed. I peek in the windows, and someone spots me and comes out to talk. I am told that the work was never done and that I would need to reschedule. Brake pads and rotors for a single axle are a very straightforward job, and they could not even get that done over a 3.5 day period. Not even a phone call to tell me what the situation was. There are enough repair place in Maple Valley/Covington that you can avoid this one.

Even though I came in for A/C, they did a full diagnostic and pointed out a few things to keep an eye on--but didn't try to upsell me at all, which I really appreciated. The guy at the front desk (I think his name was Bobby) was great--super friendly and easy to work with, which made the whole experience even better. It's also an employee-owned shop, and you can tell they actually care about doing solid, honest work. I'll absolutely keep bringing my vehicles here and would recommend them to anyone.
