Some of their technicians are really incompetent who ruined my car's engine oil pan by over tightening the drain plug nut then replacing it with a slightly bigger one in a subsequent visit which resulted in an oil leak. I ended up replacing the engine oil pan itself which cost me significant amount of money. Really pathetic shop so you want to avoid them. read more

This is the kind of unethical shady shop experience you fear when taking your car in for repairs. I brought my vehicle in to have my transmission looked at. It was slipping when downshifting and I could not take it on the highway anymore. After 3 days in their shop and a $500 inspection fee I received a printout saying my radiator cap and coolant hoses were in critical condition and needed immediate replacement. As well as every fluid and other minor easy to perform repairs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I arrived back at the shop and explained my concerns with the mechanics findings the clerk became quite confrontational.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not wanting to engage in the clerks baiting, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke with the mechanic directly and asked him several questions about his findings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I asked about why the radiator cap and hoses were in immediate need of repairs/replacement specifically asking if there was signs of damage, fraying, leaks or internal damage/flaking of the hose. He told me that there was no damage or leaks either internally or externally but that the hoses and cap appeared old. I then asked about the transmission, expressing that it was the whole reason I brought the vehicle in for inspections in the first place. He simply informed me that he did not inspect the transmission. But that everything seemed to be in working order on his "road test". [[HIGHLIGHT]]The clerk then seemed surprised that I elected not to have any of the repairs performed and requested to settle the bill with no further repairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't get as far as the Safeway, one stoplight away, and the transmissions planetary gears grinding and slipping could still be heard and felt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I dropped off my car to be looked at because it was misfiring. I asked them to run a Diagnostics and then call me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Instead they ran the Diagnostics and did several tests. They quoted me it over $1,500. I called a mechanic friend who offered to do it for a couple hundred dollars. When I went to pick up my car they charged me $370 for Diagnostics and tests. They did not ask permission to run these tests. This is an EASY 5 rating! My dad is 80 years old and was in need of a mechanic when I was out of town for an extended work project. He took it to Jim and team and they have been AMAZING! Their HONESTY is unmatched with other shops and the are FRIENDLY, EXPEDIENT, and ACCURATE with their quotes and they KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. So when my truck had some issues I took it to then without hesitation and told them what I thought the issue was. Hen they looked they told me my issue wasn't there, but they found a much smaller issue, fixed it and did a great job. Many shops would have taken my trust for a green light to do the more expensive repair I was ready to pay for but not these guys.
