They informed me versus told me and gave me the option on whether to have it taken care of. They provided a price breakdown with the new service. I didn't feel pressured to get it done. Since their specialty is European cars I thought I would have to find a new place for my car's maintenance. But Dave Meister said "we'll take care of your Civic". So recently, after taking a big sigh of relief, I took my new acquisition to Meister Werks for its first maintenance since I've had it. They did an oil change with the outstanding Liqui Moly Top Tec 6600 oil plus a filter change, tire rotation and they flushed and filled the brake fluid reservoir, also with Liqui Moly. Great job. Great products. Nothing but quality. This Civic has never had it so good. Dave, Misha, Jasmine and everyone else who works there really know what they're doing. And they're great people. I like talking with them. Just look at the cars out front that people take there for maintenance and repair. Plenty of Porsches, Mercedes, Audis, BMWs, Land Rovers. And a Honda Civic. My ignition works perfectly and they even utilized my AAA discount and they were the ones who recommended Lloyds to me. They actually suggested Midas, but due to a relationship with National Auto next door, I was turned on to these guys. When I called to inquire about services, they couldn't have been any nicer. Like most auto places, they tried to discourage me from waiting and suggested I leave the car for the day. In order to do that, you either got to give me a loaner, or have enough retail and entertainment for me to be comfortable while I'm in the area. This place is a desert, and a loaner wasn't an option, so I decided to stay. Ironically, the interior was comfortable, not at all what I expected. There was probably room for 8 people to wait comfortably. There was a TV, but it wasn't on and they had bottled water and chips non gratis. They told me book time for my car was 2.5 hour, so I should expect to be there for at least 3. Book time is a joke. For example, if you wash your car, you probably take 30 minutes to rinse, wash, rinse again and dry. That is book time, what it takes the average person to complete a task. A friend of mine used to be a detailer and he could wash and dry a passenger car in about 3 minutes. It's not about rushing, it's about repetition. When you are good at something it doesn't take as long and book time is about charging you more. In this case, they had a flat fee for services but always know what you are dealing with when you choose a mechanic. If it takes them an hour to complete a service, they shouldn't be charging you for 2.5. Long story short, I was there for less than an hour, they completed the service, and I couldn't be more pleased. The level of professionalism, kindness and courtesy are attributes this industry lacks and it was refreshing to experience them today. Again, off what I consider the beaten path, but their strong review profile speaks for itself. I've been driving for 40 years and this is my 3rd alignment. Not a service most people need often, but whatever you need, if these guys offer it, I recommend it.

More than two years ago, I brought my car in for a simple front brake pad and rotor replacement, and now--after THREE visits to (supposedly) replace the offending cheap brake pads they originally installed--the issue of the ongoing, excessive black brake dust covering my front wheels still hasn't been resolved. Each time, I was assured the problem was taken care of--and each time, I left with the exact same mess. At this point, I'm seriously wondering if this shop ever actually replaced the brake pads after the first time, since there's never been any evidence that they did. Rommel is full of promises but short on results. He either doesn't know what he's doing or simply doesn't care--and I'm honestly not sure which is worse. When he had the audacity to ask me to bring my car in a FOURTH TIME (seriously?), I instead asked him for a refund of the $604 I had initially paid him. He refused, claiming, "That wouldn't be fair." I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT'S FAIR ABOUT A 74-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAVING TO CLEAN SOLID BLACK BRAKE DUST OFF HER FRONT WHEELS (WEEKLY!) FOR 2.5 YEARS--ALL THANKS TO THE CHEAP BRAKE PADS ROMMEL USED, WHICH HE (quite laughably) PROMISED ME WERE "BETTER THAN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT." My recent plan was to take this unethical "businessman" (I use that term lightly) to Small Claims Court, but I realized that (Rommel being Rommel) the likelihood of him showing up was pretty much nil. Power control module. I have no idea what the heck that is, but it was under $200 total and it fixed a variety of other issues "Old Faithful" had been exhibiting. Fast. Seemed honest. He was very patient, calm and ended up finding out what the issue was, and got it all fixed for me. Daniel was very helpful and clear in communication. I was happy to talk to the business owner Tony who was very kind, patient, understanding, honest and I love the fact he was willing to take time to have a conversation and get to know each other as people. I'm very disappointed with my recent experience at Sun Auto Repair in Renton. I came in because my…read moretrunk would not close. Before bringing my car in, I called and explained that I was confident the issue was the trunk latch. I asked about pricing and whether they had the latch in stock. I was told the first step would be to bring the car in so they could see if that was the problem. Once there, a mechanic tried slamming the trunk shut but it still wouldn't close. I was then told they needed to diagnose the issue for $140.00 to 170.00 At that point, I agreed because it sounded like they thought it might be something other than the trunk latch. Instead, I was charged $269 for a diagnostic, only to be told exactly what I already knew that the trunk latch was the problem. I don't understand why I was charged such a high diagnostic fee when I clearly explained the issue from the start. To make matters worse, I was quoted close to $800 to replace the trunk latch. For reference, the same latch for a 2016 Chevy Malibu LT 2.0 costs under $200 online. Between the excessive diagnostic fee and the inflated repair quote, I chose to walk away after paying the $269. They also claimed my battery was going bad, even though it was replaced just 7 months ago. Then today, I received a voicemail asking if I wanted to schedule work not just for the trunk latch and battery, but now spark plugs and struts issues that were never mentioned before. It honestly feels like they kept adding problems out of nowhere. I've had good experiences with them in the past, which makes this even more disappointing. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be bringing my car here again
