Really has changed, small tenders, no flavor and didn't even give me my coleslaw. I was really surprised at the decline. I won't be back

3.5 rating. Place is crazy popular and always busy. I know my kids love it. This is my third time having it and to me it's just okay. The coleslaw is nothing to write home about. My bread tonight was fairly bland and not buttered well. The chicken was really juicy and piping hot. The fries were a little cool. I'm not as much of a fan of the Canes sauce as my kids are. It's decent but not outstanding. The place was really clean, very efficient and the person who waited on us was nice. Also has a weird, funky vibe with the disco balls and things. read more

Wonderful staff and helpful with kid choices. It was a busy time but we moved through quickly.

Stopped for lunch. Had the big box combo. Staff was very pleasant. Restroom was very clean. The chicken was very tasty and very fresh. French fries were fresh. Cole slaw had a good taste to it. The toast was excellent. And I had a large sweet tea which was excellent as well. Service was very fast as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Also when you ask for ketchup it's a 50/50 chance that they're actually going to give it to you. It sucks because their food tastes good but they just mess it up constantly... I still feel CFA's chicken has more flavor, but I do like the fresh, hot chicky fingers Cane's has, along with their sauce. The garlic toast is pretty yummy. My search for a juicy flavorful tender that doesn't make me non-verbal couch potato is over! I would definitely recommend these are the best "fast food" tenders I've had. The sauce that accompanies the tenders was creamy and peppery which compliments the chicken so well. When we walked in we were greeted by spinning disco balls, with funky hits playing in the background. The lovely cane's employee who welcomed us was very kind and patient with my wife and I, this was our first time and definitely won't be our last. Drove an hour from Pittsburgh with my wife and 2-month old for this. My wife asked, "what do you want to do for Fathers Day?" Sold! The chicken is kickin' and the sauce is BOSS. Parking: Probably easier now that things have slowed down after their grand opening. Service: SOLID. Always have had great experiences with this chain. Facilities: It's brand new so it looks good! The staff was amazing that is why this review is so high. I have been told it is the best chicken tenders I will ever eat and the sauce is outstanding. I can not agree with either. There is no secret to the recipe. Chicken dipped in flour and cooked in oil. The Cain sauce I was supposed to love was just ketchup, mayo garlic powder, and pepper. That's about it. Honey mustard was pretty OK. The fries were soggy and rest was very forgettable. I don't think I would go back there for the food. Not when there is a Chick-fil-a and a Popeye's right down the road. We did go through the drive thru so I can't say about the inside. I do not think it is this location it's the chain. Very bland. Would eat at any other chicken place. I have had better seasoned food in a hospital cafeteria. I brought it home and added Chick-fil-a sauce and sweet baby rays couldn't save the chicken we had. Sorry but it's not for me. read more

I've been craving Canes for a long time now. Had it a few times previously. So much better than Popeyes, KFC, & Chik Fil A. The chicken strips melt in your mouth literally. Always super fresh and the Texas toast is really good too. The crinkled cut fries are a nice change of pace compared to the regular fries most places sell. The sauce is what they are really known for. It's like a thick balsamic vinaigrette dip. It's delicious. We went there this evening and the restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely for Christmas with Charlie Brown pop ups. First time my daughter ate there and she loved it. read more

Just moved back from Houston after living there for 4 years. When I got back here I heard they were putting a Canes here, that about gave me reassurance that moving back here was the best thing. This place is great. Lemonade and sweet tea are amazing, chicken fingers come out great as well. But that sauce......that sauce is amazing! I usually get the Box combo, no slaw, add toast, 3 extra sauces and a drink. Less than $10 and it fills me up. Only fast food I will ever eat is raisin canes. Don't forget to get a canes card. I just ate here for the first time, and I was not impressed. The chicken reminded me of rotisserie chicken white meat. Good, but not what I'd want when craving chicken fingers. I love crinkle cut fries, but they were cold and I was given small little pieces. Most likely the very last of a batch. Coleslaw left a strange aftertaste, and I typically really like coleslaw. The texas toast was fine, it was a little soggy but had a nice flavor. Service was great. Staff was friendly and worked quickly. At first I wanted to leave 2 stars, but the lemonade redeemed them. It is so great having a Cane's half an hour away instead of hours away. As a Louisiana girl it I so great to have my fav chicken here now. Cane's is one of the few places that I can say consistently has excellent food and service throughout their chain. I appreciate that and always have no problem in recommending them to people. Yes, it is crazy right now sometimes in the drive thru and such - they have Boardman PD there onsite directing traffic, but the service is still excellent and the food hot, fresh and delicious!!! The line says it all - at noon on a Friday, the line at CFA was out into the parking lot, the line at Raising Cane's was almost non-existent! I visited here right after they opened last spring and thought the food was ok but not great. Today's visit was the same, chicken fingers were decent as was the slaw and garlic toast. The fries were meh and the unsweetened tea had a weird flavor, not really sweet but not regular tea either. The biggest problem I had was I waited behind just two cars for about as long as I would have waited for the long line at the other chicken place. I was stopped by the first of two windows and eventually someone opened it take my money. When I asked what the hold up was with the line she said they were waiting on fries. When I got to the second window, the gal tried to give me the wrong order but fortunately read it off to me so I could correct her but when I mentioned the long wait her reply was "we make everything to order so you have to wait", no apology, just "you have to wait". I get that but it is lunchtime on a Friday, waiting almost 10 minutes it too long when there are only two folks ahead of me! I still would have been ok with it if the fries had actually been hot but they were just lukewarm so they couldn't have been what we were waiting for! read more

Frankly I'm amazed that a restaurant can get by with offering such little choice. Chicken strips, fries, coleslaw, bread and one dipping sauce. That's it, that's the menu. The chicken is perfectly cooked, but that doesn't mean perfectly seasoned. The coating is thin and crispy and the chicken, moist and tender, but I can think of a half-dozen places that have better flavored chicken. The coleslaw is good and the service is fast, which leads me to the four star rating, otherwise it would have been a three. read more

I traveled all the way from Pittsburgh PA to visit this amazing establishment. it was worth it. The workers were so nice and even let us in 15 minutes early into their Christmas party!! I got to meet santa and even take a photo with him. He was nice. I loved the holiday spirit!!! my friend was a little slow when it came to talking to the cashier but she was super patient with her!!! the manager was also very cool. I chatted with a worker sweeping while I was eating it was great. Overall experience 100/10 read more

I must've been here on one of the first nights it was open, if not the first night, since there were police directing traffic, and a long line. I had only been to a Raising Cane's once before a long time ago and wasn't sure what to expect. The line was long, but moved steadily, but what really impressed me was how quickly I was able to get my food once I ordered. The food itself was pretty decent. The chicken was tasty, moist on the inside with a crunchy coating. The Texas toast was also nice. The fries were pretty bland and disappointing. Cole slaw was actually decent, but I'm really not a fan of their dipping sauce, it seems like it's trying to substitute tons of salt for taste. Having said all that, it's the chicken that will keep me coming back and their ability to quickly fill orders due, in part, to a very simple menu. My son introduced me to Raising Canes in Las Vegas. I was immediately hooked on their fabulous chicken meals. I had to get lunch or dinner AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. They quickly became my favorite eatery as well as my family. So I buy many gift cards for all. I happily came home to Youngstown, OH to find they built Raising Canes right here at home!! In immediately buying gift cards I was asked about my exuberance about their food and buying the gift cards, tried to get TShirt (out of my size) AND the stuffed puppies they were selling for a fundraiser for shelters. . He thanked me profusely as new manager and gave me some special "souvenirs" of the Raising Canes mascot. In returning to store in Vegas I bought the TShirt there and more gift cards and manager had some pens/pins near register. I asked to buy those and he said "not for sale" but brought me some other ."collectibles)! They absolutely appreciate their customers. First time going to this new location!! Very sorry I went. Disappointed with all. Wanted extra ice in my tea, said I'd have to pay for it! Asked for 1/2 sweet, 1/2 u sweet tea.. received alll unsweetened!!! Onto the food. The only positive... the tender are moist, breading has absolutely no flavor, falls off of the tender & has a flour taste to the breading! THE worst soft soggy mushed up French fries I've ever had. Chicken is very tender but all the flavor is in the dipping sauce. On their own it's too plain. My kids enjoy it a lot though.
