Chicken strips, fries, garlic bread. Sauces and coleslaw.

Raising canes is a well known chicken place, I will say the food was good I think the bread was actually my favorite thing. The service was quick and helpful. And the ambiance is that of what you can expect from a fast food chicken joint, clean, and busy.

Drove past here the other evening and the line was to the highway. Finally was able to try them and I'm glad everything was fresh.

I was driving by the area and was lucky enough to notice that there was no lines so you know I had to stop by to get some chicken tenders. The service was fast and food was hot. The chicken tenders are good, I wouldn't stand in line for them, but they are delicious with the sauce. My favorite would be the buttered toast, I could probably eat a whole box of it.

Not sure what the big fuss and long lines were about...I guess folks are just excited about a "new" place...Raising Canes to me is just over rated. Personally would rather just have Chick fil a... Anyhoo, traveled all this way for chicken tenders and fries...didn't have too many options to choose from...besides 2, 3 or 4 tenders lol They didn't offer any other kind of sauce options...just their "cane" sauce and I wasn't a fan. They do offer a chicken "sandwich" which is just 3 tenders on a hamburger bun... My Arnold Palmer was disgusting...lol Anyway-I won't be coming back here...but if chicken tenders your jam...bon appetite!

The line is superrrr long!!!! Please keep this in mind when visiting this restaurant. So instead of waiting in the drive thru line, we found a park at the Wendy's next door, since parking was limited at Cane's and I think that was our best option. Upon entering the restaurant the decor is super cute and funky. They have disco balls in the ceiling. The line on the other hand was still a little long, but It was actually moving. I was surprised they only had one person on the register. But once you place your order, your food is literally ready 2 mins later. The turn around was pretty quick to my surprise. Now for the food. I honestly don't see what the hype is about. It was pretty basic. And you definitely need the sauce to compliment It. But I will say their honey mustard was good; unfortunately you only get one sauce per order and you have to pay extra for any more sauces. However I will say I was obsessed with how fresh and tasty their fries were. Nice and crunchy! And the traces toast was hitting as well. The tenders were juicy but pretty basic. There was nothing special about It. I'll score this place 6/10. I would go back for a quick bite, but I'm definitely not waiting in that long line.

I've eaten at this chain in LA and at the SOBE Food Network Wine and Food festival and couldn't wait for this location to open! The drive through line was mad long but I waited only about 20 mins or so. Actual people are outside taking your order to move things along quickly. I ordered the 6 strips with double fries. Well....the strips were not as good as the ones in LA and at the festival but were pretty decent. The crinkle fries were yummy! Food was hot! I like the Cane sauce better than honey mustard! Yum! Oh and the sweet tea was on point!

Chicken sammich... 3 strips, came sauce and lettuce. Really good!

I have to say that for this being the second day open. They're doing really well. Security is keeping everything organized in the parking lot, so there isn't as much confusion as you'd think. I was able to park in the Raising Cane's lot and grab food for my daughter within 15 minutes. The inside is actually not packed, but there was an employee letting people in a few at a time. I guess to keep it from being too crowded on the inside. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the food was good. I ended up getting the Caniac combo and a kids meal for my daughter. I had a lot of people tell me that the strips weren't that good, and it was the sauce that made the difference, but that wasn't true today. I feel like Raising Cane's gonna be somewhere I come to treat myself every now and then. My kids like it and it's something new in the area. Check em out!

Grand Opening Day 9/6/2023. The actual location of the restaurant is right off Robert Crain Hwy. It is tucked between AutoZone and Wendy's so it can be an easy miss if you're not looking for it. There's one way in, one way out. Parking is SLIM (about 25 spaces). Maybe because it's opening day, but a popular restaurant like this, I don't see the crowd dying down any time soon! Besides all that, glad there's one semi-close by! Definitely beats a drive to Townson or Waldorf! It's a fairly simple menu!!! But sometimes simple is all you need.... I'm usually a Box Combo girl myself. Chicken Fingers, fries, coleslaw, Texas toast. Tea, lemonade, and of course regular fountain drinks. The staff was super friendly, and well-trained. Food was hot & fresh! Definitely will be back soon!

Kids meal. Two small strips, a drink, and crinkle fries.

The lines in the store and the drive-thru were both long so I went to the drive-thru. I was in line about 15 minutes. My food was served less than a minute after my order was placed. The customer service was top tier and the cashiers were all polite. The order was hot and the food appeared fresh. The kids were excited to get Canes because of all the hype. They actually loved the food. In my opinion, it doesn't live up to the hype. The chicken strips were okay, and the fries were nothing special. I liked the sweet tea. My order was missing the Texas toast, but I wasn't going to get back in that long line to get it. If the kids want it I would buy it again, but after all the hype I'm definitely disappointed.

Raising Cane's at this location is often packed at the drive thru and at the restaurant. The chicken is fresh and the Texas toast is delicious. I know people tend to compare this style of chicken to Popeyes and Chic-fil-a but this is a totally different style of chicken. It's not spiced but it's ... actually pretty good even though it's "plain." As long as it's fried, hot and fresh, you're good to go.

Delicious tenders, basic fries, good sauce. I stopped in via drive thru for lunch last week since this is the first location in the area. I enjoyed my lunch and would go again. I would just aim for those non prime times since this place still gets packed!

I went around lunch time on a Thursday and ordered the 3 finger combo. It is just like I remember it when I first tried in New Orleans. The tenders were plump, juicy, crispy, and most importantly hot. The sauce is sooo good I need the recipe. The fries were okay. They could of been hotter. They were also skinny for crinkle fries. Lets not forget the Toast, the combo would not be considered one without it. I wish I ordered an extra piece. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back. The staff was very friendly and the wait was not bad at all! Glad Raising Cane's has joined the Gambrills/Crofton area.

Not gonna lie, I held out on coming here after I saw the lines around the block for Canes, but I…read morenever saw Slim Chickens receive the same kind of welcome. I had previously gotten caught up in the Canes hype myself, but quickly realized that the chicken was mid, and the sauce carries that whole franchise. I was also put off by how all of a sudden This area had quickly become the fried chicken capital of Maryland, with all these new chicken spots opening. Roaming Roosters, Canes, 2 Royal Farms, Wing Stop, Popeyes, Nandos, Miski (R.I.P.), Dat Jerk (McJamaican), Bon Chon, The Chicken Shack, and still to come Big Chicken which is owned by Shaq will be opening somewhere in the area. It just seems like a lot. To the point i heard someone refer to this area as "The Chicken strip" lol However, I was on Grubhub one night and decided to give it a try. I got a chicken sandwich with Korean BBQ sauce that I wasn't crazy about. The sandwich was just completely soaked with sauce and was sloppy, I wasn't feeling it. I also ordered the wings with cayenne ranch dry rub, and they were absolute fire. So then of course I had to follow up by trying the strips which I actually did today. We dined in (even though I ordered to go) and the staff was reallly nice, like Chickfila level nice, and the store was super clean. There was even a guy outside sweeping the parking lot, that to me looked spotless, but I guess he was sweeping away any possibility that a speck of dirt or debris may land, because I didn't see anything anywhere. When I got my food the first thing I thought was, these tenders look similar to Cane's. Like, almost identical, but as soon as I took a bite, there was no more comparison. The tenders were perfectly seasoned and the fries look the same way McDonald's fries look (in commercials), golden with a slight crunch, and not overly salty. (Review then sits in my draft for like 4 months at this point. I dont even know why) Picking up where I left off, I've since been here like 5 times. I still like it alot, the sandwiches are fire, the tenders are fire, and the wings (cayenne ranch) are fire. Though, I do wish incould get cayenne ranch tenders, but for a once every now and then option this spot is solid.

I had a deal for Slim to try their food and went on Wednesday, March 12 with my girlfriend. We…read morethought it was crazy Slim had just recently opened right across the street from Raising Cane's, which had opened 1.5 years earlier in September 2023, which I remember going on their 2nd day in Gambrills and was a madhouse. Business at Slim was light on this Wednesday early evening. While similar to Cane's, one key difference is Slim has more menu variety. At Cane's, it's simply the chicken tender baskets, and Slim has the same thing but also chicken sandwiches as well as more dessert options like chocolate Oreo in a mason jar and other mason jar dessert varieties. We had gotten a tender strip basket & chicken sandwich. I think the chicken sandwich was solid. The chicken tenders were pretty good, but inferior to Cane's across the street, but that would is very high bar to reach Cane's level. Fries & Texas toast was good here, but Cane's is a bit better too. I did like the varieties of dipping sauces here. At Cane's it's just the Caniac sauce. Here I got their Slim sauce & ranch. The tenders are also smaller than at Cane's. But the price for their basket is a fair amount cheaper than Cane's, so that is a plus. In addition to the food deal, I also had a free Mason jar dessert, which I got the Oreo one to split with my g/f. It was the highlight of the entire meal, which was delicious. Additionally, the cashier was very friendly answering all my questions. I will say the service was friendlier here at Cane's. Cane's they are just trying to get people through the line. Overall, I would consider Slim as an option for the chicken sandwich and/or if I have a deal.

Chips and salsa came right away and it was hard not to eat too much, it was so tasty! The chips were fresh and hot with the perfect amount of salt; salsa was medium hot, just right for my spicy preference. After a very short wait - maybe 5 minutes, tops - our server came to take our order. The food arrived within 10 minutes. We shared nachos supreme with beef (ground beef) and four street tacos with carnitas. I can't begin to tell you how hard it was not to gobble down every bit. The carnitas were spiced perfectly and were moist and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The ground beef was, as well. The vegetables in both dishes - lettuce, onion, tomato, jalapeño - were fresh as can be. DGD enjoyed a strawberry Jarisco, while I stuck with water. The reason we held back from gorging on this feast was a planned stop at Coldstone after ;) Service was excellent, food was delicious. Parking is mildly annoying but that's just me. It's in a large shopping center and there's never any parking right in front of the businesses on the main entrance street. But we didn't have to walk far, just across an interior street from the parking shared with a theater. It's free, so a little walk is OK. With tip it was around $50 I think, but as DGD treated me, I wasn't involved in paying. Worth another visit, regardless.
