Finally tried it. Not worth the price. I had to laugh, I asked the guy in the drive thru when I picked up my order if it was better than Chick-fila and it took him a long time to answer. Then he said "we have better sauce." The chicken fingers were just ok, fries nothing special, the Texas toast was a slab of wonder type bread with no real flavor. The Cole slaw was just ok. Nothing was very flavorful. As far as the sauce I think Chick-Fila sauce is way better. I'll stick to Chick-fila or Popeyes. One last thing and this is for all drive thrus, why can't they have a menu sign somewhere BEFORE you get to where you have to order? It might save some time and confusion. read more

I prefer boardwalk fries, and a creamier slaw and less bitterness and the Texas Toast need a little more butter and flavoring. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon for my first visit, I found a drive thru line extending into the street. People unabashedly parked in the Wendy's parking lot across the street and walked over even though signs urged customer not to. Customers left with plastic bags filled with plastic food containers. So, avoid if you're eco conscious. There is outdoor seating but few were using it on this warm October afternoon. There's plenty to observe as I wait in the drive thru line. There's a car entry for dine in and separate for drive thru. If you come in the dine in entry for drive thru, you would have to exit and u-turn back into the drive thru as I saw others do. I was in drive thru for 30 minutes before my order was taken. I had an opportunity to talk to the cashier as I waited for the line to move. The cashier was friendly. I had a long drive home ahead of me, so I ripped right into my tender meal that came with crinkle fries, and a piece of garlic bread and a plastic container of cane sauce. IF you can get in the door, it's very average. The service is awesome. The place is brand new so it's super clean but the food is just average. We're a chick fil a family so we are biased. I just don't get all the crazy for bland chicken. There is zero flavor. Maybe their sauce would have helped, but unfortunately they did not include any in our order. Grand Opening Day!!! I applaud the management team for how organized they were today. Security was out directing traffic, customer service was pleasant, and ordering was simple. Although... it took me 35 mins to receive my food. Lol As to be expected on opening day. Since this is my first experience with Raising Cane, I found it strange that a chicken finger spot doesn't offer sauces like ranch or bbq, just their special Cane sauce and if you ask for extra, that's an additional $0.39. Yikes!!! I ordered their Caniac and Sandwich Combo which came to ~$28. I was allowed to substitute my fries with either toast or slaw. Even though they were crazy busy, the chicken is well cooked and not rushed. I didn't go inside to check out the ambiance but several people were parking in the Wendy's parking lot and walking over to order. There's seating outside under a canopy if that's more your style. Waited for 45 minutes in the drive through at 4:30pm on a Saturday. Food not worth that kind of wait. Staff seemed high on drugs.

I was so excited to have Cane's in the DMV area. But so far this one disappoints. I can't put my finger on it but the food doesn't taste like Cane's in the south. Even the lemonade tastes different. I did go the 2nd week of it being opened and they have been quite packed everyday. I'll try again once its not a busy and see if it tastes like the Cane's flavor I'm used to. I will say this one is nicely designed and they added some local touches inside like the Bowie State Letterman on the wall. Will update on how the flavor is once its not to crowded. read more

I asked for ketchup after paying over $30.00 for 2 meals- the cashier gave me 1 ketchup. For a famous, hyped up name that is always in social media- this is how they they go about business? Giving people 1 ketchup? The food is pretty high priced for what you get. Bread + tenders+ cole slaw + drink and sauce was over 15 bucks. Popeyes and KFC have bigger tenders. This was my 1s time here and social media had good things to say about them so I was excited, but I was not really impressed. The tenders were fresh and well cooked; juicy but small. I did love the sauce- I give them the 2 stars for the sauce and the juicy chicken, but the fries were barely warm and the bread needed more butter. It was bread I could make up at home. I have been to about two other Canes out of state. This one did not meet my expectations. Its the second day they are open so I didnt mind the 1hr 30 minute wait. However, the food was not worth it. The chicken tenders were barely cooked, im assuming because of how many customers they had. There is barely any crunch on them. The fries were crispy and hot which was a plus. The portion sizes are small. I've had better food at university cafeterias. The restaurant is clean and new. The people were polite. Service was relatively fast. I was underwhelmed by the hype. There were traffic jams of three quarters of a mile onto the highway when it first opened. I ordered the Caniac meal. Instead of 6 tenders, they gave me 3. The best thing about this place was the Texas Toast. The french fries were bland and of the variety where you can buy and cook crinkle cut at home. Chicken was good if not a little greasy, and their sauce is very tasty. My biggest complaint is that the music was BLARING in the dining room and weirdly even louder in the bathroom. Fries on the side. 25 mins later I finally get my meal. It's seriously the only thing you make put on a bun and one slice of lettuce that I actually didn't want but I couldn't figure out how to take it off. It's not like it was busy. I mean it was but could still park in the lot walk in and see only three tables and about 4 orders standing waiting. Walked in and was never greeted had to find where the pick up orders were myself. And another customer came in and I helped her understand there was a pickup rack on the side. Again no direction from staff nor app. On to the food. Seriously people if you think this is good I would suggest you get out more. Even for the price for supposed fast food. Just a half mile up the road you can get a better sandwich at Frisco with fries for about $3 more. The sauce is meh, the chicken isn't that crunchy (again many places crunchier) and basic B bread and lettuce and fries. You all are crazy if you think this is good food. I don't see what the fuss is about. The chicken strips were ok -- moist but not seasoned well. The fries were TERRIBLE. Just a regular frozen crinkle cut fry and they were tough and chewy not tender and crispy. The Cane's sauce was ok. I did not care for their honey mustard sauce at all. The garlic toast wasn't very garlicy. You have to get one of their combos which all come with a drink. You do not get anything off if you only want the strips or sandwich and sides and do not want the drink. Ordering the items a la carte is more expensive. I found it to be overpriced for what you got. We finally decided to try this place after seeing the lines out in the street for weeks. I have to say I was not very impressed. We visited mid afternoon around 1:30pm. The line wasn't too bad but they were still very slow. We all ordered chicken tender combos. The tenders weren't anything special and they're pretty small. I usually love crinkle cut fries but their's were skinny/skimpy. I didn't like the sauce because it was very tangy. The bread was okay but that's about all. This place is way overpriced and the food was salty. My children both said it was okay but they'd rather go back to Red Robin's chicken tenders baskets. I was really hoping to like this place.
