    Egg drop soup
    Elizabeth V.

Located in a small shopping area and parking is limited close to the venue. Customer service was AMAZING! Food was good. Flavors differed from similar style restaurants in San Diego. Pricing is fair at this restaurant. We tried a couple of their combination meals as well as their side orders. Their combination meals is where it's at as far as best bang for your buck plus, it comes with gyoza! We ordered: Combination A meal w/fried rice - egg drop soup was more on the mild tasting side. More like a clean chicken broth with egg. Combination C with fried rice - fried rice was very delicious and flavorful Calamari - big rings cooked well but no tentacles. I wonder what they do with the tentacles... Mochicko chicken - fried kind chicken with a hint of sweetness Garlic chicken wings - a bit overkill of garlic for my liking. Wings cooked perfectly! Light crisp on the outside yet moist inside! We asked for fried gyoza - good

Great first time experience! They have a Gyoza Happy Hour from 3-5pm to add to the already great prices and very generous portions. I had gotten the Chicken Katsu Curry Ramen, Husband had the Oxtail Ramen, and we shared the side order Mochiko Chicken. I thought the Mochiko Chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't overly sweet. The Katsu Curry hit the spot! I did remove it so it wouldn't become too soggy as I knew it would be too much to finish and wanted to take it home. Husband said the Oxtail itself was bland BUT they gave a lot so it wasn't a complaint but he would probably try something else the next time. Service was friendly and fast. We noticed a lot of take out orders but I feel like since we ordered a lot of deep-fried foods it would be better enjoyed there along with the various condiments they provide at the table. There is a provided restroom and the parking lot is shared with a few other Businesses so it may get congested depending the time you come. It is pretty big inside and the tables are moveable to accommodate larger parties.

If you're craving ramen with massive portions and great value, Rakumen in Mililani is a must-try! I ordered the Spicy Seafood Ramen, which was loaded with fresh seafood and had just the right amount of kick. We also went all out with Combo Set A, upgrading to the full-size Spicy Char Siu Ramen (so worth it!), and it came with perfectly crispy gyoza and flavorful spam curry. To top it off, we added their croquettes, which were golden, crunchy, and absolutely satisfying. The portions here are super generous--you'll definitely leave full--and the prices are unbeatable for the quality and quantity of food you get. Service was quick, and everything was served fresh and piping hot. The fried items especially were cooked to perfection--crispy on the outside and never greasy. If you're in Mililani, make sure to stop by Rakumen for hearty bowls of ramen, great sides, and a satisfying dining experience. Can't wait to come back!

We came after a long day and were super hungry. Its your standard ramen/curry shop, with good prices for satisfying food. Service was good too, a bit hasty but polite. Our waitress accidentally thought my friend ordered gyoza but he wanted charsiu--they corrected it quickly and we got a free gyoza out of it, so no complaints there lol. My gf and I got combos with gyoza and ramen, hers with a mini katsu curry and mine with mini fried rice. Portions were good, I even had some leftover fried rice. Gyoza had thin skins and nice crispy bottoms. I also tried my friends black garlic tonkotsu ramen, which I think was the best dish on our table. The broth was much richer and tastier than the mini shoyu ramen I got. While everything was good, not much stood out to me. The prices were good though, after tax and tip the total was about $100 for 5 people--about $20 per person and we were super satisfied.

A monthly coupon arrived for 15% off so I ordered on line a Black Garlic Tan tan ramen regular. Hubs thought the broth was spicy, but it was okay. I like how thin they cut their brownish char siu and the shoyu egg cut in two was fine. If you like SALTY then you'll enjoy the seaweed. It tasted like it was heavily doused and massaged with salt. Sorrily there was a generous amount of it that I was not able to eat. Perhaps I need to select something else tho' I'm still on the hunt for a good Tan Tan ramen. I should have gone with my first choice of side order calamari and side of curry... I'll know better...

Rakumen has been our go-to for take out and we stopped in for dinner tonight as my kids requested ramen for dinner. The restaurant is spacious and for a Sunday evening, it wasn't too busy. Servers are friendly and the food comes to your table quickly. We ordered and enjoyed: Chicken Katsu curry rice Mochiko chicken Gyoza Black Garlic Oil TanTan Ramen Black Garlic Oil Tonkotsu Ramen Spicy Beef Ramen We all enjoyed our flavorful dishes! We couldn't finish our meals so we ended up taking home leftovers. Delicious food and good service, I'm a fan! FYI Rakumen offers Free gyoza from 2-5 pm daily with your order.

If you're looking for flavor, this is the place to be! Let's start with the food. We ordered four dishes: Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice, Seafood Ramen, Spicy Kimchi Ramen, and Edamame. The ingredients were high quality and very fresh. We were served immediately after ordering; it seriously took only 7-10 minutes. My wife and I loved all of the food; they did not miss! Be ready to take some food home, as the portions were huge! The restaurant was clean and had a warm vibe. You can tell the workers really take pride in their work, and I want to thank them all for a great experience. Rakumen Rocked My World

Do they serve alcohol or can you bring in your own?

They do not serve alcohol but I don't see why you can't bring in your own to enjoy

Is there msg in the ramen broth?

Doubt it. While my personal taste would prefer a notch spicier on Spicy Beef, was addictingly tasty. You didn't ask, but the noodle in Ma Po Tofu caked up on carryout, requiring a knife and fork -- almost. Bon appetit!

I've seen a few of my Yelp buddies check into this Chinese restaurant called - Grand Chinese Restaurant so I decided to take them to this place to give it a try. What can I say about this joint? It's your typical old skool Chinese restaurant, which provides ono Chinese comfort food, great service, & a spacious environment to have a meal with family and friends. The only downside about coming here was that their air conditioner tripped the electrical power here, so it was rather hot/warm inside of the restaurant. We ordered an array of dishes (see pics), and the food was enjoyable. Some of the standout dishes were the Steamed Fish, and the very meaty Roast Duck. Located at the Pearl City Shopping Center, you can find Grand Chinese Restaurant tucked away just next door from American Savings Bank area. Prices here were very reasonable, food portions were more than generous, and the staff provided friendly fast service! Easy 5 stars, but I had to minus a star due to the hot/warm dining area due to the a/c not working. Lol!

4 stars for Mililani Restaurant!…read more The food was cooked really well, but everything needed salt, so the flavors never got to shine the way they could have. Which is honestly a bummer because if they had seasoned Bill's Fish & Chips... dude... it would've easily been the best we've ever had! The other day, my family stopped by Mililani Restaurant after my son recommend the fish & chips. Since I'm a sucker for variety - and I hadn't eaten here in about 20 years - I also ordered the Mini Fried Saimin and Mini Korean Chicken. I love seeing each restaurant's take on these local favorites. Bill's Fish & Chips: WOW. The full order is HUGE! You get three giant pieces of cod over a mountain of shoestring fries. The fish was cooked beautifully - super crispy on the outside while staying moist and flaky inside. But oh Lord... it needed salt! The fries had a great crisp too, although they did have that darker, old-oil flavor that was a little hard to ignore. Since I'm a foodie who likes to come prepared, I happened to have lemon wedges with me lol!... and man, did that take the fish to another level. Hey, don't judge! (I'm pretty sure my family was embarrassed... but ask me if I care. Hahaha! Jk... kinda.) We all agreed that if they had simply salted the fish right out of the fryer, this would've easily been a 5 star dish. Mini Fried Saimin: Can we talk about that portion size for a mini?! Super generous! Unfortunately, this one also needed more seasoning, and the oil flavor came thru more than the other ingredients. I know it's fried, so some oil flavor is expected, but it kinda overpowered everything else. A little more shoyu would've gone a long way. Since fried saimin is usually one of my favorite things to order (local girl at heart!), I'd give this one about 3 stars. Mini Korean Chicken: The sauce was delicious and reminded me of Sugoi's Garlic Chicken. The only downside was that the chicken itself wasn't hot. It tasted like it may have been cooked earlier and then portioned out for my plate. The service was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and they packed everything securely. Our order was accurate, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. They definitely have a great variety for a neighborhood plate lunch spot. Would we make the drive all the way from Ewa Beach just for this? Probably not. But if we're already in the area, we'd absolutely stop by again. One last heads up... if you're planning to dine in, be prepared to leave smelling like the fryer. The ventilation could definitely use some help.. we all went straight to the shower when we got home!

The Soft Gau Gee Noodles with gravy are another must‑try: comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic local-style Chinese meal.
