    Picking up some Salmon Teriyaki
    Wendell R.

We're trying for the first time the teriyaki with yakisoba noodles. The salmon had a smoky flavored, nice grill marks and crispy skin. The teriyaki sauce is sweet and flavorful. Salmon was nice and flaky. Perfectly cooked noodles. This is one of our favorite spots to pick up some quick teriyaki. They are fast an efficient. This was a pickup order. It only took 5 minutes.

First time here at Joy Teriyaki. I'm not usually in this part of town, but I had an appointment in an adjacent business. Couldn't decide, so I asked the cashier for recommendations. She pointed out a lunch menu, which all looked delicious. Decided on the chicken and gyoza. Waited only a few minutes, then my meal was brought to my table. Nica and warm on a cold winter day. Consumed with vengeance as I haven't eaten all day. Flavor and texture is spot on, and the quantity was perfect. Recommend this establishment for a good inexpensive meal that should fill the tummy.

The food here is the best! I have had everything on the menu and not one item will disappoint. Their kimchi is amazing, it's a third generation recipe! I have been coming here since 2016 and there is no teriyaki place that compares. Worth the drive to 192nd no matter where you're at. The owners are the sweetest couple and really have the best restaurant around. They have one of the biggest menus I've seen at any restaurant, great portions, and good prices. Inside the restaurant is always clean and inviting.

As far as express dining, Joy Teriyaki is the best I've been to. While waiting in line, two different people told us this was the best teriyaki they had ever had. They certainly weren't wrong! The service was top notch and the food was incredible. I got the chicken teriyaki meal which comes with a side salad, two servings of rice and a heaping pile of wonderfully seasoned chicken. I also appreciate they do not skimp on the teriyaki sauce. These portions are large so be prepared to share or have some left overs. We also got two egg rolls. Deliciously crispy on the outside and packed with flavor and yummy ingredients inside.

It's in the QFC strip mall.

Ate here 2 more times this week. Wanted to try the curry chicken but something happened on my take out order and I ended up with a teriyaki chicken bowl. No worries, it was darn good on my fishing trip. Went back to 2 days later and ordered the curry chicken and the asian lady remembered me and apologized for not getting the curry chicken last time and she gave me my order for free. WOW, wasn't expecting that. The curry chicken was good. Tasted very close to my mom's curry chicken. It's great comfort food. I didn't get the chicken katsu yet because I need to lose a few pounds first. LOL It's not fancy food but is well executed, tastes good and very reasonably priced. Ichi needed some competition and in my opinion, there is a new sherif in town. 1/28/16 - Have eaten here about 12 times since it opened. Very consistent food even though they have had a lot of staff turnover. My wife really likes their chicken teri and she is more critical than I am. We usually split one order since the portion size is pretty big. It's a regular stop for me when I get my growler filled next door. Awesome to have 2 of my favorite places right next to each other. It gets crowded at lunch time but have never waited more than 15 minutes for take out. If there is a better $7 meal in the East Couve, I haven't found it. See lot's of families eating here so kids like the food too.

Good food, free soup while you wait for your take out order. Prices a little high for what you get but that's everywhere now, right?

They had one special menu and the manapua man noodles and gaugee caught my eye. That's like the perfect combo. But we skipped out on gaugee and got the manapua man noodles. Wish the options for the additions was one fried chicken but instead it was either pork belly or sweet sour chicken. Which isn't usually the kind of combo I would get. Especially if you label it manapua man noodles. The noodles tasted more like fried noodle / fried saimin style since it was cooked on a wok. I do miss the simplicity of a manapua noodle where you dress it with shoyu and sirracha. But these noodles weren't bad. They were super flavorful. Portion was huge! My husband said he could've gone without the pork belly. The pork belly was meh. The noodles tho, ono! I also went with the japolo chicken and kalbi combo, which is my go to. Kalbi is saucy and so flavorful! The chicken is nice and crispy. My only thing is that my plate was swimming in sauce. And when it touches the rice, it's a no for me. Wish had some buffer like cabbage to catch the sauce. Other than that, food is always ono here. Service is also friendly and the place is nice and clean with lots of seating!

They have big windows that open up and a bar area with hooks to put your things. Service: We sat at the bar area since we didn't have a reservation right in front of the employee sink. I will say that as an observational person, I noticed a lot of female employees washing their hands, but very few male employees washing their hands. I was glad to have a female server. She followed up often with drinks, which was fantastic. Food: We got the Kingston Fix slushy tiki drinks and those were good. Nice and refreshing for the hot day. Sweet and sour fried chicken - the small was plenty for us, since we had been snacking all day. They were lightly breaded, very crispy, and not heavily drenched in sauce, but still very flavorful. White curry with brisket burnt ends - light curry taste and the pieces of brisket made this dish so robust. The brisket was a bit crunchy at the tips, but it fell apart in your mouth and wasn't chewy or tough. Overall wonderful experience. My dudes - please wash your hands. (We were there ~45 minutes and one dude with glasses washed his hands twice. I didn't see any other dude wash, but maybe there's another sink elsewhere.)

Ambiance: there are various options of seating, I enjoyed the booths in the back, it felt extra cozy. I loved that the lighting was natural and slowly adjusted as the day went by. Food: I saw someone's post of the fried rice and because I could literally taste it through the photo, I had to order it when I got here. It was as delicious as it looked, so flavorful!!!!!!!! Chicken Fried Rice w/ Medium Spice: 5/5 flavor 5/5 spice level (medium tasted like medium, thank goodness) the chicken could've been diced up a bit more, but no complaints here, we finished the plate! Truly one of the best dishes I've ever put in my mouth. !!!!!!‼ I will add... there were fun little surprises in the Fried Rice.... Raisins, Pineapple, Cashews, Onions... Be aware of that if you have any allergies ‼ Service: the lady that took our order and served us might've been the owner, but she was incredibly nice and attentive. She was cheerful to take our order and deal with our first experience- I tend to ask a lot of questions... I didn't see an option for spice on the menu and she was happy to custom my order and I am so glad I asked! At one point she even turned down the music just in case it was too loud. Service Speed for dine-in: Coffee: less than 5 minutes Food: less than 15 minutes !!!!!!!!! Highly reccomend this place, I will definitely be making this my go-to late study spot. Flavorful and delicious, Fire Foods delivers the best in Asian food here in Molalla. I haven't had their burgers yet but after reading the reviews here, I'm thinking I need to try one! In any event, with the cold grey day we are having today, a bowl of hot ramen soup was the perfect thing to send the overcast blues flying out the window. Today, I had the Veggie Ramen Soup with shrimp & egg along with a cup of jasmine flower tea. The bowl of soup was so big I had to ask for a container to take home what I couldn't eat at lunch. With big huge shrimps and a perfectly poached egg, the noodles and veggies (broccoli, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, bok choy) hit the spot. The broth was delicious with the perfect amount of spiciness - my lips were tingling with the heat! (Tip: I asked for a "1" on the spiciness chart and it was spicy. I think it might have actually been a "2" because it was spicy! I like my food spicy but if you don't, maybe ask for a "0".) Ordering is accomplished at the counter, which is on the left when you enter the front door. When I said I needed some soup for a chilly day, the man who took my order suggested the Veggie Ramen. He then asked if I wanted to add anything to it and I requested chicken, although I got those huge beautiful shrimp. (I'll be asking for those shrimp from now on!) Prices are comparable to or less than any other place these days - veggie ramen soup was $12 and the pot of tea that I got at least 3 mugfuls out of was $2.50. Add-ons to the soup like chicken, beef or shrimp are an additional couple of bucks. All decked out for the holidays, my favorite decoration was the Grinch Christmas Tree! Fun and festive! I'll be going back soon - maybe to try a burger but I love their Asian food so it might be hard to choose.
