I have been a loyal Raley's shopper for as long as I can remember. The former one on Mack & Franklin once was my "go to" shopping destination. But after it closed down, I had to search for another store that I felt comfortable going to, where my grocery list would be met. This store is very nice inside, clean and well stocked. It's a relief that they enforce the Covid-19 protocols, including disinfecting shopping carts before customers use them. They have a nice variety of products and it's easy to locate items down each aisle. My favorite area is the produce department where everything is fresh and beautifully arranged. Fruits and veggies are an important part of our list. I also like the deli section where I get my favorite salad selections, especially potato! And I can't forget the bakery department with it's displays of amazing and eye catching baked goods that make my mouth water every time I pass by. Temptation is very hard to resist! Needless to say, this is one of my favorite locations to shop now! read more

This Lady, made sure that in a Pickle, at the last minute I was taken care of even though what I was requesting wasn't a typical request but she made it happen! She does wonderful work. She handles herself wonderfully. Thank you very much I appreciate you. Next - same day & time frame as above....I needed a floral arrangement desperately. I had ran all over elk, grove, trying to get flowers together but everywhere seem to be out of what I wanted, I needed someone to take time and assist me in arranging or coming up with a look....Omgosh Jordan was so creative, patient, calming, and did an Awesome job at the last minute, when nothing was available. Inventory was low everywhere! The look she came up with & color scheme was absolutely Stunning, not to mention Kelly who stepped in the following day to complete the look with even more options. The Raley's is one of the cleanest and well kept grocery stores in Elk Grove. They have all the necessities of food and pharmacy. You can get cakes in the bakery and lunch with a full coffee shop for your morning commute. The Chinese food, hot food, and deli will bless you when you don't feel like cooking. The staff is friendly and fast with the check out. They have self check out with a dedicated team member to aid if you encounter a problem or want bags. I like the little nuances of fresh fruit at the self checkout to promote healthy snacks. This is location has the e-cart service where you can order your items and then drive up and receive them. The staff person bring them out to your car and loads them in your trunk or back seat. This is handy for the rainy day or car with crying toddler. The young people that work there are mostly from the surrounding neighborhoods so this helps keep them out of trouble and boosts community employment. As I approached the checkout a man was just leaving to switch over the cash register. I saw a woman standing behind him with a scowl on her face. She got behind the register & started checking me out. No acknowledgment of me at all. As she started bagging my groceries I asked if she had gotten the $3 off stickers. She rolled her eyes & said "it's on your receipt" in an aggressive, sarcastic manner. Wow, I said, a simple yes would suffice. She took a step back & said "you said what now" I said all you had to do was say yes. She yelled out her managers name & just walked off. The manager was apologetic & finished the transaction. Turns out she did NOT take the $3 off but he did. She is Rude AND incompetent. I pity her coworkers & customers she has to deal with. It's Safeway from now on. read more

I said something about it and she then became passive aggressive with the remaining groceries and tossing the bags on top of one another in my basket. Not pleased at all and it's unprofessional. Bottomline, I like Riley's slightly over than Safeway, but it still would not be my prefer grocery stop. The good stuff: Their price is competitive. They have a great hallmark and gift section. Their veggie and fruit section is decent. Their organic section is comparable to Traders Joe (on Traders Joe bad days). Their staff is nice. The reason it is not my favorite store: The bakery is not that great. The meat section is as bad as Safeway. Same for seafood. So if you are not one of those that spend most of your money in quality food, then this is a decent grocery. Otherwise I will pick others. read more

Last week I bought items from this Raleys, used my debit card. Stuck the receipt in my pocket and later that night started to enter it in my check register only to find out the receipt said they gave me 60.00 in cash back. No they didn't, I found a Manager next morning and they gave me my money back. Please check your receipts before you leave. I can't afford to give my money away. I won't be shopping there again. Seniors be careful when you use your debit card. I wonder how many times this has happened. read more

We tried the week of Christmas to order fried chicken from Winco and after a frustrating two hours of trying to get through, I decided to call Raley's instead. I got through right away, I ordered 32 pieces in 3 minutes and it was hot and ready for pick up on time as promised on Christmas Eve. I always enjoy shopping at this location. The store is always clean, the staff always friendly, and the shelves as stacked as they can be. I love how careful they are being and making sure they are safe as well as customers. Baskets are cleaned off, everyone appears to be wearing a mask, they ask that you DO NOT bring in your reusable bags. They will provide bags to you at no additional cost since that was a state order. Myself I just have them put it in my cart and load my reusable bags when I get to the car. No reason to be wasteful. I will continue to drive out of my way to shop here first because I always have the best shopping experience here. read more

It's crazy how attached we become to relationships that we build based on routine. Unfortunately, with change comes a shift from the familiar, to the unfamiliar. This was the case when my wife and I relocated from the Pocket area to Elk Grove. The familiar smiley faces (and exceptional customer service) that we encountered at the Bel-Air in Pocket, would be a distant memory. We would be forced to build new relationships at our new "home" Raley's on Elk Grove Blvd. This particular store functions as both a post office and grocery store for our daily needs. My wife and I are small business owners and are constantly utilizing the in-house USPS service desk for our weekly needs. Literally all of the staff that work the USPS desk are friendly (in contrast to the actual standalone post offices), and extremely efficient. Even during the holiday's, when lines were long and folks were shipping last minute gifts with unrealistic expectations of when they would arrive to their destinations. The customer service that we receive within the store is equally impressive. When I needed a birthday cake made for my 5 year old, the employee in the bakery was extremely helpful (and patient) with assisting me in choosing a cake size and style. My wife absolutely adores the eCart service. She simply adds our grocery items to an online shopping cart, completes the purchase, and within 2 hours our groceries are ready for pickup. The staff do a great job of communicating via text message in regards to the condition of produce (or fruit), and even detailed concerns such as food brand preferences. On one occasion, my wife decided to take advantage of the grocery home delivery service (free for first time users). Aside from our groceries, we also ordered 2 hot sandwiches from the deli (their deli sandwiches are delicious). Unfortunately, when our groceries were delivered, they were not accompanied by the sandwiches. We contacted the store, and kindly (keyword) explained that our sandwiches were missing from the delivery. In less than twenty minutes, an apologetic Raley's employee (still donning their Raley's apron) was at our front door with our sandwiches. Now that's what I call great customer service! Whether you're shipping packages, fulfilling your weekly grocery needs, or simply need to pick up a bottle of fine red wine, this Raley's will have you walking out with a smile of satisfaction on your face! read more

The new coupon system makes a great store subpar. The store is clean with wide aisles and great customer service by its staff. However, the new coupon system on the Raley's app causes trouble for the staff. Several items that I had clipped with the app did not apply during checkout. If I did not check my receipt, I would not have noticed...otherwise, I would have been overcharged for items. I brought this issue to a very helpful staff member. She helped me to make sure the items were clipped...only to find out a few more items that were clipped did not apply. I had to wait another few minutes as other customers had issues that the clerk had to handle. It was all taken care of, in the end, but I had wasted about 10 minutes dealing with these issues. TLDR: Store is great, staff is helpful, the COUPON CLIPPING system is AWFUL! read more

I want to take a moment to recognize Amy, who works at the self-checkout area at Raley's in Elk Grove. She was very patient, attentive, and very good at multitasking. Even during the busiest hours! My transaction was a pain in the but and it caused a line of others staring at me because they too also needed assistance. Amy was calm, cool and collected even after all the chaotic moments of the self checkout line's constant shouts of: "excuse me, hi I need your help, hey I need assistance here". Long story short, Amy got me right and smiled the whole time doing it. I'm truly grateful for her efforts and it's people like Amy that makes me happy to come back to shop at Raley's. read more

Outstanding customer service shout-outs to Anitra and Anaatacia for being so patient and helpful yesterday! Last night, I was running around Elk Grove trying to get a balloon that I had ordered off of Amazon inflated with helium for my boyfriend's birthday (today). Raley's luckily will inflate balloons and charge depending on the size. The 28" balloon was $4 to fill, and Anaatacia was really great about filling the balloon and letting me choose a nice ribbon and color coordinating balloon weight. By the time I got home, however, I was so disappointed to find that the balloon had lost over half the helium it had when I left Raley's, and I realized that it must have a leak. I found the leak, quickly taped it up, and called Raley's back to see if there was anything they could do. Anitra answered the customer service line and told me I could come back and they'd refill it. I apologized and thanked them profusely, knowing that it was Amazon's fault for sending me a balloon with two small holes in it, but Anitra and Anaatacia were both so gracious to assure me that it was no problem. I'm so appreciative of them going above and beyond. P.S. The staff that always help me with shipping out packages are super efficient and kind too! read more

The other day I posted a wonderful review regarding the impeccable customer service I received from Jordan. Today, cashing in a few scratchers I encountered a totally different type of customer service. I proceeded to the customer service desk to redeem my scratchers. The clerk asked was I redeeming lottery. My response was yes. She told me to stand on the other side by the lottery. I agreed. Mind you, there was no one in the lott line except me. She called her manager Jason over for help then whispered something unknown to me in his ear. Jason looked at me and said I needed to stand further back in the line. I informed him that I'm back far enough. There is no one in this line but me! His response was I just need you further back. His comments were rude disrespectful and down right uncalled for and definitely weren't warranted at all. Next time maybe I should buy scratchers elsewhere if this is the outcome. read more

While, I love this store and location, this review is all about STEPHANIE at Peet's Coffee. I have been coming here every day for over a decade and it's all because of her. I can get Peet's at any location, but I come here because Stephanie has my order ready before I even hit the counter. She's friendly to everyone, she's funny and kind, and she is so fast to fix any problem or concern, no matter what it is. I appreciate her so much. I can be grumpy before my morning coffee lol, but I feel good coming in here, and that really says something. Raley's have come a long ways since then to become one of the top rated supermarket chains in the country. Since moving to Elk Grove California in 1991 Raley's has been our store of choice. Known for their top USDA premium meats, their quality and selection cannot be beat. They offer 100 percent satisfaction or your money back. The fresh seafood is another reason why we shop here. When it comes to seafood "freshness"counts. Their sanitation practices are the best in the industry! Temperature of product is so important for the safety of the consumers that hourly monitoring is performed on cooler cases as well as products itself. Raley's has alway been known to have the best quality produce around. Having a large selection of seasonal fruits and vegetable make them a popular destination. They have also expanded their organic selections in the produce department as well in grocery. The sushi department is our favorite department, Made fresh daily they offer a large variety of choices from California Roll to "Nigiri" which is sushi with raw fish on top. I love to eat "sashimi" which is raw fish so naturally Nigiri sushi is my top choice. They also cater to large parties and their prices are quite reasonable. Walking through the bakery department you can't help smell the warm French bread that just came out of the oven. Can you smell it? Got to have one of those! The dessert case is full of mouth watering sweetness, there's no other was to say it. Prices may be slightly higher than some other supermarkets.but knowing my family is getting the freshest and safest product is worth it. Not to mention they have a post office located inside the store for your convenience. And a full Pharmacy. Employees are alway very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Raley's! This store had a makeover since I last visited. The wine section is huge and very spread out. The store remind me of Nugget. They are stocked with all different kinds of sodas including Mexican. That was a perk, but we didn't have a bottle opener. The very nice and helpful clerk (possible manager) had one and opened our bottle for us. Such great customer service right before closing. We were impressed. She smiled the whole time as she first checked us out in the self-check line and then opened our bottle. I wish I caught her name. It has been hit and miss. Though what irks me the most is that the baggers need to know NOT to put eggs at the bottom of bag and load the same bag with other items on top. I was told they are "light" items. I don't know why this store gets 4 stars. Dairy section repeated has items past their expiry date. It is more expensive than Safeway (takes discounts off automatically) and Trader Joe's, and they're obsessed with Strawberry jam. Hello some of us like raspberry too which only comes with high fructose corn syrup. You have a whole row devoted to strawberry, no sugar and ""natural" which you should have for both. Other stores have equal supplies. You also push cookie bands to the front and don't replace the flavors that are popular until the unpopular ones are sold ie Belvita cookies, chocolate is the most popular and yet it takes weeks to get new shipment in while you just spread out the other favors across the shelf to close the empty holes. People there for the most part are great. I hate doing negative reviews, but maybe I'll see a change, who knows. read more

This is a pretty awesome Raley's. New store, close to the house, friendly & helpful employees, well stocked with weekly specials, and of course an in house Peets Coffee. The deli has great salads that are freshly made. My favorite is the chicken salad with purple grapes. I normally add more grapes to it and eat it on crackers. I have also picked up several cakes for special occasions such as birthday's and graduations from their baker. They do great custom sheet cakes that you pre order as well as standard round cakes that they carry all the time for drop ins. Yes it is definitely pricer than the bargain stores, but if you shop the weekly specials, and stick to the produce, diary and meat department you can stock up at the bargain pack yourself places less often on non pershiable items. Dont forget to use your rewards card to obtain your points as they willl mail you coupons and free vouchers. read more

This is a good store. The prices are not as good as some other places, but at least there are rarely errors when ringing up my items. They do have some good deals for members, but finding them on the app can be a little confusing. So for being a member at raley's I was trying to buy some bacon under five bucks yesterday and I got to the front and they're all about at the add an app to your phone I said what good is a membership if I can't get the bacon then wanted me to jump rope a few times and I told him I wasn't going for that scam I've been a raise member for over 8 years and I'm kind of tired of the BS that they always blown on their clients I told him they need to disconnect my membership so I end up turning around and calling what was on the list of the receipt and I call customer service and they had a nerve to hang up on me and wouldn't even answer my phone the third time I called it's ridiculous I'm going to call on Monday and make a serious complaint about this wannabe membership for raley's I'm sure a lot of other customers have complained or don't know what to complain to so I'm yelping this one I hope everybody reads this stuff cuz this is nonsense for having a membership and want to download some extra stuff that sometimes I don't have a phone to do that with so they need to fix the system or I'll just stop shopping there all together read more
