I own a 2016 Lexus RX. I went to rallye Lexus to do oil change on my car and was not happy with the service received. The only reason we scheduled an appointment with them is because they are close by and the maintenance light went off. After the first time going with them i was kind of uncertain of their service. When they did oil change for me or that's what they said they never did it due to the fact that my car has not reached 10k miles. I originally gave them a 5 star on their FB page for my 1st car I purchased last year July 2016. I went to purchase my second car last week. They took my check and deposited it from my military bank. No car was given and I was given the run around on the day I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle. I wasn't allowed to test drive the car that Saturday 9/16/17, I was told everything would take place on Wednesday 9/20/17. After speaking to my bank and gathering the necessary proof of deposit, I verified you guys received a full payment for the car. I called numerous times Kevin never called me back. I also texted him and the finance manager, who originally told me to come on Wednesday. I'm a Veteran who has served honorably and I would hate to think Rallye Lexus doesn't care about the VETS. My money is accumulating interest on a loan for a car I never took possession of. I have no vehicle nor have I signed any documentation for this 2nd car. I trust you will investigate this matter. I was willing to be a lifelong customer until the incident. There were serious RED FLAGS but I trusted Rallye Lexus and once respected Kevin. I've been a Lexus customer for years and always thought my local dealership on the East End was the best but that changed after visiting Rallye. Not only is the dealership top notch but the sales team is AMAZING! We had the pleasure of dealing with Kevin Losee when we came in looking for a Certified Pre-Owned RX. . I've been a Lexus client for over 20 years with my family. We have homes in LA, Philly, and New York. I've serviced my Lexus cars in Philly and they've been an example what ultimate customer experience should be like. The Lexus dealership on Cedar Swamp road in Glen Cove has always been a nightmare. My last experience was beyond horrifying. I pulled in to service my car, went inside, Sergio, the associate behind the desk was looking up my information. He quickly tells me I have to pay for my service because I had my car serviced a few months ago. I explained to him that's impossible. He started to raise his voice and said it's on the computer, you serviced it in Philly. I tried to explain it could be a mistake we have 2 of the same car and year but different colors. He kept cutting me off and didn't let me get a word in. Now in any luxury retailer, they're suppose to do the leg work and assist the client. He told me to call my dealer in philly and resolve it. I got my dealer in Philly on the phone and they explained to him it was a mistake on their end and to service to the car and bill them instead of me. Meanwhile there should never have been a bill. He never apologized to me for raising his voice, and accusing me of "lying" like Sergio said I was. There would be no reason for me to lie and service my same car in under 3 months. He was incapable to understand that. Long story short I've never experienced that kind level of low quality service at any luxury retailer. Lexus should re-evaluate his service level. As if one incident with this dealership wasn't enough, I had to have yet another issue with my car that was purchased as a certified pre-owned vehicle. My first rodeo was about massive wear and tear on my first maintenance after purchase to the point it was dangerous to be driven on because I was sold a car that they swapped out tires and breaks out to total garbage. Corporate resolved this. Now fast forward 10 months and I notice rust on my right quarter panel... For a clean carfax vehicle this as you may guess, was baffling. After I emailed and called rallye lexus countless times with no response I had my boyfriend call in my name and low and behold, they spoke to him. For a month and a half not once did any of the managers speak to me but only chose to speak with my boyfriend ( not the owner of the car) finally after weeks of them going back and forth being promised to get the work done and paid for they went back on their word. After emailing corporate and calling stating how sexist they were by refusing to speak to me and only my boyfriend and how rallye refused to take responsibility for yet again another fxck up corporate revealed to me that the rust was a recalled item and rallye "fixed it" the same time I bought my car... Clearly marking they repaired it and never did. Again corporate granted me the repair and apologized for Rallyes unacceptable behavior. I have been to dozens of dealerships searching for my perfect car. This Lexus dealer was by far the worst service I could of ever imaged to receive. After tolerating an attitude and disrespect from the salesman I finally decided to speak to a manager. The manager didn't want to give me the time of day. Customer service and kindness should be a salesmen's number one priority, not at Rallye Lexus of Glen Cove. As per the test drive, .5 miles would be a generous distance. The salesman sat on his iPhone the entire time. One word answers were all he knew. My purse sitting next me was more useful than he was. I normally never write bad reviews for anyone/any place, however, I found that this Lexus dealership is very unprofessional. From the moment we walked in, no one greeted us or asked if we needed anything, even though they all made eye contact with us. When one of the salesman finally spoke to us, he didn't even bother to explain anything to us. The salesman wouldn't even sit down and discuss the numbers with us at all. If the dealership was very busy, it would make sense... but this dealership was quite empty and there were multiple salesman that were available. Be aware of the service department. recently I brought my '07 Lexus ES 350 in for a repair due to the air bag light coming on. after keeping the car for 2 days they informed me that the car needed $8700 worth of repairs to get the air bag system to be restored. I decided that since the total worth of the car was only 11K to bring it to my local service repair shop. He found the problem after a day and restored the system for a total of $500. This is just yet another example of being given a huge repair estiamte which turned out to be not required issues. Do Not Bring your car here for repairs. read more

They have no idea hot to fix the technology in the products they sell and come up with bullshit answers to make you think they actually did something when they did not. Specifically, the bluetooth in my 2013 gs350 never worked properly. They told me it was my phone. My phone works fine on my other cars. They excuses just pile up. Had car for weeks at a time and could never "duplicate" the issue I was experiencing with the transmission. Was told the car needed a firmware update. What a joke. Nothing has ever been fixed correctly. On top of that they slander people who no longer work for them. Very unprofessional organization. Stay away. It's been almost a year now I have owned the vehicle about 8k put on the vehicle. Last month my axle disconnected from the crankcase, the car was towed to my nearest Lexus. techs at Lexus of queens couldn't figure out why it happened and replaced it under warranty great experience. A month after that water condensation started to develop in my headlight. I went back to lexus of queens dealer and they stated the headlight has been repaired before and they cannot grant any warranty fix because of it. I called the original dealer which is rallye and they asked me to drive the vehicle back for them to inspect the car. Today they inspected the car and found the same concern that the light has been repaired before. They brought me down to the shop area to explain some things to me, but to my surprise the blame was pretty much pointed to me because of an aftermarket brush guard and hid fog lights that was installed. He pretty much flat out said "too many hands has been on this vehicle obviously and I cannot grant a fix" and walked away leaving me there with my salesmen. The installation of those aftermarket parts has nothing to do with a headlight repair. What is bothering me is the fact the car was SOLD to me as a "certified pre own" they obviously missed this while certifying the vehicle. My salesmen was kind and had no part in knowing about this obviously as he also has to trust his team that certified the vehicle would provide him with true information for him to make a sale. My salesmen walked me back upstairs to the waiting area and said he'll try to talk to the manager again. a few mins later I saw my vehicle has returned to the front entrance area, not even at valet pick up. A gentlemen came over and said I was told to give this to you (my car keys). A few kind words from my salesmen stating he'll try to help but I pretty much know I'm out of luck. I have contacted corporate with my concerns. This has been the most insulting experience. read more

I have two Lexus, one I own and one I lease. Been a customer for over 15 years. I found the sales people to be competent and willing to negotiate. I don't know if they are the least expensive dealer but they have come in at or below my budget. The service is probably more expensive then going to a gas station or franchise garage but it has been reliable. They have always been courteous and accommodating, always offering a loaner car if service is more than an hour or so. They also fit you in if there is a serious problem or time constraint. The waiting room is comfortable and clean with coffee, beverages and pastries. I left off one star because they might not be the most economical dealer, but a little extra for reliability is ok with me. read more

Now years later all the paint where they painted is chipping off only where they reprinted and no where else. It is going to cost a ridicolous amount to have it fixed correctly. Same old lying car salespeople - it would be funny, except when you try to deal with them. Go somewhere else before you waste your time. I went to truecar and got my guaranteed price. Present it to the salesperson, and he says no, it will be $2,000 more. I complain, and finally they agree to honor the truecar price + $250. Whatever, I am tired or arguing, just give me the car. I gave my credit card for a deposit against a car that is white with parchment interior. I made the salesperson give me the invoice of the car so I can check the build sheet against the deposit. It is all in writing - white with parchment interior. Monday comes and guess what - no car. They can offer me one with a black interior, but they claim nothing about the parchment one. Do not trust these people, in particular salesperson Steven Maizel. They will tell you anything but the truth. read more

I have to agree with the other reviewers on this site who are mentioning arrogance, and downright smug attitudes on the parts of the sales staff and management at Rallye Lexus of Glen Cove. The reason for my visit was for a pre-owned. Now, I understand that a dealer has to make as much as it can whenever it can, I get it, but the sales guy only initially came down $600 from their "negotiable asking price". I offered several thousand lower than that just to set a range and hopefully get to a middle ground where we could both be happy. The sales guy looked disgusted. He starts looking online and says there's nothing to be found in that price range. I came prepared with a link to the the same exact car, with the same exact features, color and a few thousand more miles for way less than what Rallye was asking for their vehicle. The sales guy then gets his manager. Manager says, the best I can do is a thousand dollars lower than what my sales guy quoted you. At this point I know I'm not taking the car, but I'm having fun. So now I tell them I have a trade. After looking at my trade in they proceed to tell me they will give me $1500 less than it's average value based on several reputable websites. At that point, I said, "thank you for your time" and walked out. They let me walk out without a care in the world. They actually smirked as I got up to go. 4 months later, I found the exact interior/exterior color car I was looking for online at another Lexus dealership. I was able to negotiate a fair price with them over the phone. They also offered me the same amount for my trade-in that Rallye offered me 4 months prior - again, over the phone and without even seeing the car! So much for "not going to find this car for anywhere near what I wanted to pay." Found the car/negotiated the price and price of trade on Friday 12/27, picked the car up on Saturday 12/28. Rallye's car from 4 months ago, still has not been sold and is now priced LESS that what I originally offered them. So much for the "how the car won't be here long" line. Bottom line... go somewhere else with your money, you can do a lot better. read more

He made the buying experience very smooth. He returned calls promptly, and I called him many times. I was particularly concerned about Rallye making the pay-off on my old vehicle and he assured me it would be done by a particular date and it was! Also, Andrew the technology person that explained the car was excellent and very patient. He spent over an hour with us and welcomed going over any features more than once. We were in the market to buy a lexus and this search took us to Rallye Lexus. The first time you go in, they are all about courting you and making sure you get a car from them. Then the real problem starts. The sales agent who shall remain nameless (sales and leasing agent), was very sloppy in emails about the paperwork, if you ask him two questions, he will reply with one word to it - OKAY. There was limited customer service in the showroom, since everything could be handled by email due to COVID-19. However, none of the paperwork, processing steps, etc. were able to be completed online. They required us to print, mail, fill out and sign manually. I can only blame him so much - the real problem is that Rallye Lexus doesn't provide their sales team any support. They have to do - emails, customer showing, appointments, follow up. But our bad experience continued even after the payments were done. We didn't pick up the car the same day (since it was a saturday and DMV is closed). It went from bad to a nightmare. There is NO customer service, the agent won't answer his phone. He won't answer his email. No update on paperwork is provided, no delivery update is provided. When we called him a few times and he returns a call, he had the audacity to ask us to NOT call him anymore because he is very busy- what happened to customer service, honesty, integrity, transparency and loyalty? I recently brought my car in for its 30000 mile factory recommended service. They not only didn't perform the service as specified by the service manual (they told me over the phone that "it was just an oil change"), but after waiting for 1 1/2 hours, they came back with a list of expensive service recommendations for the car. I felt I needed more information, so I took the list home. Reviewing the list of items with a little internet research, it is my opinion that they were trying to pad the service bill to the tune of over $1000 by charging prices that are higher than other Lexus dealerships and by offering other services that are unnecessary. Here's the list: Inflated cost services: *Oil change: Rallye service cost: $189. (I found another local Lexus dealership with a "regular price" synthetic oil change cost of $129) *Change cabin and engine air filter: Parts cost: $44, Rallye service cost: $220. Service time: 5-10 minutes - no tools needed!. *Change wiper inserts: Parts cost: $22 for Front and rear. Rallye service cost: $70. Service time: 5-10 min - no tools needed! (Another nearby Lexus dealers is currently advertising changing front wipers and topping up the washer fluid for $22) Suspected unnecessary services: *Change PCV valve: Parts cost: $5, Dealer service cost: $89. Service time: 5-10 min- 1 socket wrench required. Sounded like it was too early for this to be changed, but since the part is cheap and easily accessible from the top of the engine, I replaced it with a new Lexus OEM valve myself and looked at the old valve. The old valve wasn't clogged. *Rear differential fluid replacement: (Specified in manual to replace at 60,000 miles under "heavy use." My car has 30000 miles commuting to work and driving the kids around on weekends). Rallye service cost $189 *"Throttle service" ($99) and fuel injector cleaning ($199) to "improve fuel economy" according to my service advisor. In my opinion, these are quick and easy "money maker" services for a lot of service shops. They are not part of the factory recommended maintenance. Since I don't feel the car has any throttle or idle issues, and since it gets only premium gas, and the fuel economy hasn't changed in the several years since I bought the car new, I see no reason why these services needed be performed at this time. Services specified by manual not performed by Rallye Lexus during my "30000 mile service" *Flush brake fluid. (Full disclosure: They recommend this be done for about $200) *Re-torque nuts and bolts of drive shaft *Replace key batteries I am not sure what has happened to this service department over the years. On a prior service visit they had a nice laminated sheet where the costs and services associated with the "basic" factory recommended service items and more "deluxe" services with additional items on them. You were free to pick either the more basic or deluxe options from the list up front. I have been amenable in the past to a few extras. For example, if the manual recommended "checking and cleaning" the cabin air filter, I was ok with a slightly more expensive service package which included changing the filter. (You have to remove the filter to clean in anyway, why not replace it with a new one for a few dollars more?). Now, I feel all they want to do is fleece their customers by overcharging them and rolling in expensive extra services. I bought the Lexus wiper inserts, PCV valve, and air filters from another dealership online, and changed them all myself in less than an hour (including the time spent looking up what to do), saving almost $300 in comparison to the Rallye Lexus cost. Rallye Lexus is nearby and and the staff has always been courteous. Don't mistake courtesy with professionalism. This may be a case of YMMV, but after my recent experience, I will be looking to take my car somewhere else. read more

I have spent the last 14 years purchasing my families Lexus vehicles from Lexus of Manhattan. We had a relative which was a salesperson there who has recently retired. We thought it might be time to shop locally for a new car since my wife loves my 2018 Lexus RX. While traveling north on Cedar Swamp Road today we had driven past the Lexus Dealer and turned left into a small shopping center and back out to the dealer. Three landscapers armed with leaf blowers bombarded my car with plastic bottles, small pebbles, leaves, twigs, paper cups and the such aimed right at my car as I was ready to pull in to the parking lot. The barrage of debris was blown directly into the street and down the block. We decided to not pull into the parking area and headed back home. I will be inspecting my car for any damage and reporting back to the offending dealer if any is found. I find it reprehensible that Lexus would allow their maintenance people to act in this manner towards possible customers and their neighbors. Shame on you Lexus. read more

The most overpriced service you could possibly find. I had my car towed there after it was jump started backwards. They wanted $840 to replace the battery and the blown fuse. They specifically cited the cost of the fuse parts as $25. The battery costs $100 in any auto store. In other words, $715 in labor for a job that takes MAX 3 hours. I spoke to other Lexus dealers and they all quoted me rates at least 200 less, not to mention all the other auto mechanics I called who could have done it for half the cost. They were rude on the phone, they were rude in person. Maybe it's a good place to buy a car, but unless your service is completely covered I would highly recommend going anywhere else for service. read more
