So I've been going here for years and never had a problem last night I bought 5lbs of chicken from the meat counter When we unwrapped it to cook dinner tonight it just had an awful smell and after looking at it it had gone rotten and a period of less than 24 hours so if you do shop here I would be very weary of their meat what a disappointment!!! read more

This Ralph's has the dirtiest parking lot, most times no clean baskets, expired products, and to top it all off they recently hired an armed guard to stand in front of their store which seriously concerns me. This was my first visit to this really beautiful store! I walked in seeing what I thought was the manger picking up veggies on the floor. She then picked up dropped garbage. I said wow she really cares about this store. We enjoyed our shopping and everyone was very nice. The pharmacy lady was very sweet as I was passing the area. I also want to thank the tall gentleman in deli for doing a great job with our order! We then went to check out to see the same manager trying so hard to make sure her team had lunch and breaks. She was doing this with a smile then actually ringing us up. I was so impressed how kind she was and she said how much she loves her job and treats it like as if she were in her own home. I'm starting to really like this Ralph's. I'll sometimes come in here when I need a couple of things and I just happen to be in the area. There's plenty of parking and the store is of a pretty good size. The shelves are always well stocked when I'm in there and the store itself is very clean. The employees I've encountered have been friendly and it's also nice that they have self check-out. They never seem to have long lines since they usually have a decent amount of check stands open. read more

I bought some groceries here after I landed at LAX and it did not disappoint. I found everything I needed for the week. It was a little late at night but I still managed to find everything and more. Horrible customer service!! I had an issue with my online order so I called to speak to the manager. She told me they would replace the items and give us a $25 gift card for the problem. I was fine with that. My husband goes back to the store to return the items and get the replacement and the $25 gift card and nobody knows what's happening. The manager excuse herself to the bathroom and all the associates are standing around looking at each other. My husband got frustrated and felt he looked like an idiot with no one helping him. He walk out and told them to keep your shit!! So over it. I tried to resolve at the store level but now I except corporate to step in. Hope someone reads these reviews. This used to be my main grocery store for at least 15 years as it was conveniently located on my commute from work, had pretty good sales, a bonus card program that wasn't about overpriced gas, and pretty much had everything you needed in one place. In the last 5 years it has been in decline to the point where I am in fact BOYCOTTING it, and a large portion of that has to do with completely ridiculous, incompetent staff and "managers" who should not be managing anything ever in anybody's life. I have had people on the phone here who barely spoke English and just hung up on me while claiming to "transfer". They also keep moving merchandise randomly and illogically, so you are just running around searching all the time, and they fail to restock the most basic items over the course of the day. The deli chicken used to be good but hasn't been in a long time. Produce and meat is grossly overpriced. They are also too lazy to actually check you out and just try to get you to use the self-checkout at all hours, which of course malfunctions half of the time and who has time for that? Checkout clerks with an attitude, as if they are doing you a favor when it is in fact their job. Service = zero, and this is what happens when you hire semi-illiterate people who may be cheap but are completely lazy and incompetent. read more

I went to Ralph's for service at the pharmacy this afternoon to get a prescription for my mom... since the pharmacy doesn't have a bell for any assistant to see you or know that someone is standing at the counter, I had to knock on the counter to get someone's attention. At first, I knocked lightly, but no one said anything, so I proceeded to knock a little harder since I didn't know if anyone was actually there or around the other side of the wall maybe in a stockroom ?? since I wasn't being acknowledged by anyone at all, I walked up to a store clerk to ask if they could, please call somebody to the pharmacy... right as I was walking up to a store clerk, we both turned around and noticed this young man was at the window at the pharmacy. So I walked back over to the pharmacy When I walked up to the window open area, he didn't look up and acknowledge me, so I said "hi can I get some help? He looked up, walked over to me, and said "ma'am was it really necessary for you to be knocking like that on the counter?? I said, excuse me??? I said, well, you don't have a bell, so how am I gonna get someone to know that I'm here?? he said "you should just be patient and somebody will be right with you... I said no one was acknowledging me and I've been knocking for about five minutes already.... He continued to blame me for my knocking and added, I was on my break and on a phone call I said "well how are theare the customers supposed to know that you're on your break?? and if the pharmacy is open in the store, then there should been attendant here at all times!!! Customers don't know you're on a break if you're behind the wall, they just want somebody to assist them!!! he proceeded to lecture me about knocking on the counter... My knocking was not that hard. It was just so that somebody can hear me if they were behind a wall or in a stockroom of some sort. I didn't mean any harm I just wanted to be assisted, he wouldn't let up on what he had to say, he was being very unprofessional on his part since he was working" no Customer wants to hear "I was on my break" and to blame the customer for trying to get someone's attention ?? There should be somebody at all times covering every department.; especially a Pharmacy. When I'm at my job, my customers don't want to hear that I was on my break. They expect me to be there just as I expect the people Ralph's pharmacy to be there for me!!! I hope he changes his attitude!!! My cashier today was horrible. "Kevin" has absolutely no customer service. I bought some sodas for the 4/$10 deal. All the tags are the same. 12packs, 8packs & 6packs. I went though self check out first. Then I checked my receipt and sure enough, it didn't ring up properly. Then I saw Kevin. Thinking he'd "Make it Right". I was dead wrong. I explained what had happened. Handed him my receipt, wanting to return/exchange the two 6packs then purchase the 4, in one transaction. Then he got confused. Then said fucking three times. Now he's frustrated. Then I had to repeat what I wanted. Then he finally got it Then I kid you not, said. He said. "You just can't read the signs"?? "That's why YOU got it wrong" OMG I WAS LIVID!! I had to walk away.. Now if we were on the streets it would have been different.. ESPECIALLY if my son was with me!! I really only shop at Ralph's because of the soda deals. This review is based on customer service. Earlier my 6 yr old daughter accidentally left her stuffed tiger in the shopping cart. I called and a man answered, I asked him if a stuffed tiger was turned in and he immediately said no. Shame on him for not simply TURNING AROUND to see it sitting behind him. He could have cared less and seemed annoyed just by my call. HORRIBLE customer care on his end, I wish I caught his name just to tell everyone how careless he is. Obviously if I'm calling about a stuffed tiger it's for a child and he should have put in more effort to help. I decided to go to the store anyways. Ashley helped me and got if for me immediately saying she is glad they kept it because it appeared to have sentimental value. I would prefer any of the other Ralph's in the area over this one, but go to it if I am driving right past it, which is why I visited it tonight. This is a HUGE Ralph's store, one of the biggest in the South Bay. They have a great selection of everything here but there is a serious homeless problem in the parking lot with people approaching you even knocking on my window asking for money. I believe this is due to the Recycle America booth outside the store. Every time I am here I see a lot of shady looking people hanging around. Just keep an eye on your handbag when you leave the store, don't unlock your whole car until you've put all your groceries in it and then lock it again once you are in it. You never know how aggressive people will get. I've been approached on several occassions at this store. If it weren't for the problem in the parking lot, I would have rated this store 5 stars. read more

I stopped by this morning to pick up a tray of fruit. The only registers open were the self check out's. I do not like self check outs because they malfunction too much. So I looked around and there is this man standing with his groceries on a regular register. So I got in line there. No one came for a while. So after asking the cashier at the self check out walks over with an attitude as if she is doing us a favor by checking us out. Saying that they are busy and we need to hurry up. I was outraged that as customers we have to deal with this type of service. I hope Management does better to make sure the store is properly staffed. Happen to be doing some banking at WF, across the street & after, decided to stop in for a few things. Well there were some changes, first, there is now an area to have a Starbucks, while the Starbucks had already been there, it was a grab & go. So very nice. Btw, you can also get something from the deli & eat there as well. Next is the deli counter & some of the area around it. Like how it's now stream-lined. Easy in & out unless your ordering many items. Lastly, wait for it, yep, the bathroom. There still in the same general area, but the men's can accommodate up to 3 at a time. Use to be 1 and the wait, sometimes was 10-15 minutes. The balance of the store, or at least the portion I saw was the same, no change. I think the 3 areas of change are right up there in importance. I have had to scan a huge cart of groceries by myself, having to call an employee because if you use your own bags the machine often asks you to remove them. Stopping your check out. I don't see the point or ordering online for pick-up if the store is not willing to deliver my groceries to my car. I checked in, wait 15 minutes, then someone calls me to tell me they need me to pay in the store since I'm using the pandemic EBT. I advise the employee, I recently tested positive for covid & do not want to put anyone at risk. Long story short, they refused me my groceries and told me to order via Insta Cart. Or I can cancel my order and pay with my debit card. I offered to give ny debit card info via the phone since I had the Store Director on the phone, she again told me no. At this point, I was frustrated because now I have waited an additional 30 minutes for nothing. So I did tell her she was fucken useless because they were. How the hell am I supposed to feed my family? I then call back because I have a cousin who is not in my household who is willing to pick up the groceries for me. I spoke with the store management who again said they cannot allow my cousin to pick up my groceries because she's a relative & because I told the Store Director she was fucken useless. This is by far the most ridiculous management I've ever encountered. They are more concerned with their personal egos instead of trying to help a family with food to survive during the next 14 days. read more

If Home Goods and Ralphs were to join forces, it would look like this store. When you walk in, it's like any other grocery store. They have a produce, meat section and food aisles typical of a Ralphs. But, as you start to head down the main front aisle, it's hard not to notice all of the non-food stuff and knick knacks....pots, pans, dinnerware, vases, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, backpacks, school supplies, plastic BBQ plates and utensils (the bright colored kind that you would use to feed kids with), decorative shells, and random home decor. It's overwhelming and very cluttered. Service was average. The only reason I would return would be for their meat alternatives section...Simple Truth meatless burgers are good. Haven't seen that brand anywhere else! read more

Purchased 4 $200 gift cards for my children for Xmas 12-13-21 from the store. This week they found out three of them have been hacked and two only had .20 cents value left. Took four calls to Kroger corporate before was able to finish filing a claim. All the time telling me there was not guarantee I would get a refund. Then when we finished, they gave me a claim number and told me to then call Visa and give them the claim number. Visa said they would send me paperwork to fill out and then they had up to 90 days for them to determine IF I WOULD GET A REFUND. I GUESS I'M OUT $450 since I have to replace the money because I can't/won't make my kids wait for 90 days for money that may not be coming back to me. read more

Today (Dec 15), we had an order fulfilled by Instacart that included a Chobani Greek yogurt that had an expiration date of Dec 10 2020 as shown in the attached photo. Normally I don't review grocery stores because they are pretty standard. This particular store caught my eye. Everything was standard, prices and cleanliness. The thing that stood put was my cashier. His name was Rashad, I think. It just seemed he was emotionless. Almost no interaction. No hello or how is your day. Nothing. Ralph's is usually pretty good for buying things because if you have a card, stuff is relatively cheap.
