This is my go-to ramen/sushi spot. Usually when people want ramen, I prefer coming here because there are so many more delicious options. As someone who prefers sushi, this is my kinda joint spot. The dragon balls are worth getting everytime, as well as the salmon lovers roll. The salmon is fresh and high quality considering the price. We had not been here for a bit and there has been slight adjustment to their menu. Our go to was the unagi bowl for my son and I but we recently tried their unagi kabayaki and it was delicious. Last time we went it took a little longer but it came out sizzling and fresh. Price point is a little higher but you get a salad now. Service most recently was slow with getting water and our kids spam musubi's took longer than our kabayaki's to come out but I gave them grace since they were really busy. Overall, enjoyed our meal. They have a deal where you can add a on items to a ramen purchase for 5 or 8 dollars. We did the 8 and got the specialty roll angrytail. I didn't care for it too much.. it was nice and spicy though. The gyozas were by far my favorite. The dipping sauce went well with it. The spicy ramen wasn't very spicy and it was a little bland... I had to add soy sauce and garlic which vastly improved it. We love ramen mura for its quick and easy accessible ramen. This past visit the menu has been updated and some of our favorite rolls have disappeared and new ones are listed. The staff are always friendly and the quality of the food is very consistent. My wife picked up the vegan yasai ramen which is a ginger mushroom broth base, while I ordered the standard spicy tonkotsu. If you come during lunch their $1 special is an incredible deal, if you come after lunch then their other add on deals are still definitely worth it! We shared an additional rainbow roll which was an assortment of their salmon, tuna and or yellow tail with a crab combination. A great deal and option if you wanted to try all their fish. The ramen here is pretty solid, and the combos they have are hella worth it. I ended up getting the black ramen and combo's it with the jalapeño poppers which were so filling and spicy. My friends order did end up getting messed up where she had asked for tofu instead of minced beef in her ramen since she is a vegetarian, but they brought out the ramen with the beef. Looking for a place to eat, and ramen was the chosen dish. We ended up here at Ramen Mura about an hour before they closed. We were seated right away, as they were winding down for the night. As we waited for our food, we got the sesame balls, which were nice and fresh. I think it may have been the owner who dropped it off at our table. He was really nice. The goods: *Unagi Bowl *Black Ramen *Miso Ramen We liked what we got, had no complaints. I could only muster half of the dish, I don't normally eat rice on the daily, let alone late at night. The cousins enjoyed the ramen as well. I tasted the Black Ramen and I must say, it is a pretty close match to my favorite place in San Diego!! Pricing is pretty good for this place being in OC! It's a smaller restaurant with a casual ambiance, and I can see it getting super busy during peak times. I am keeping this one bookmarked for sure. Not too large of a restaurant but if you go between 11-3 any day of the week, they have certain specials which we were intrigued by. Top notch!! Looking for a place to satisfy that ramen craving and Ramen Mura does not disappoint! Headed in from the train station straight to for dinner at 6pm ish and I expected a little wait based on timing but we got in and seated immediately! The place was half full and by the time we finished a wait outside so winning on the timing today. The menu was simple yet packed at the same time and had plenty of options for every flavor craving. We decided on spicy Tonkatsu ramen, unagi bowl, spider bun, edamame and gyoza. The spicy tonkatsu had depth of flavor in the broth and wasn't dangerously spicy. It was the perfect flavor packed bowl that was enjoyably warm! The unagi bowl was loaded! With warm flavorful eel steamed broccoli and corn, pickled ginger and a load of furikake topped rice. The sauce was sweet so I got some wasabi mixed a little soy and that pungent bite paired perfect with the sweetness already in the dish. The spider roll was incredible! Light fluffy bun, perfectly fried soft shell crab that was surprising meaty. The meal ends with complementary sesame balls warm freshly made and flavorful!
