This is a great ramen spot. Wasn't too busy when we got there around 1:30 pm. We came for lunch (no lunch specials just an all day menu) and ordered the tonkotsu spicy black ramen, some spicy tuna rolls, and an order of takoyaki. All very fresh! Ramen was rich and flavorful. Not too salty not bland, but just right. The pork chasu was tender and fresh. I liked the plentiful topping and the seasoned egg a lot. Takoyaki had a crunch and was soft in the center, just right. Spicy tuna wasn't least bit fishy and was also very fresh. You do need to ask for wasabi and ginger as it did not come with it. The service from our waiter was kind and consistent. Walking in, there was a funky smell. Like a dirty mop. We tried to sit through it, but the smell was overwhelming. We sat at the bar area and it looked dirty, food stains on the glass. The idea of unlimited ramen, sushi, and appetizers for $24 sounded like a great deal. I started with appetizers and ordered the fried baby octopus, which was a letdown, the inside was still cold. The shrimp tempura was okay but had a weird aftertaste, possibly from reused or dirty oil. For ramen, I tried all their popular ones: * Tonkotsu Spicy Miso (spice level 2) - The spice level was perfect for spicy food lovers, but the flavor didn't really work for me. * Tonkotsu Spicy Black - This was my favorite. It had a nice balance and deeper flavor even though it wasn't very spicy. * Tonkotsu Shio - This one felt too plain. It just didn't have much going on, especially compared to the others. I also got a dragon roll with eel on top, which was just okay, nothing memorable. Honestly, it doesn't feel like they specialize in either ramen or sushi. The ramen broth was thin, and the noodles were softer than what you'd find at serious ramen spots in Little Tokyo. I was also surprised they don't include karaage, which is a staple at most ramen restaurants. Meanwhile, some other fried items had quality issues. The positives: Parking is easy, and the staff are very friendly and hardworking. Service was great. I'm stuck between 3 and 4 stars, but I'll go with 3 stars because of the food quality. Came here a few times now, the AYCE for ramen and Sushi is $24 all day, and very much worth it! There's also $3 pints and $10 pitchers of beer! The tempura shrimp and eggrolls were amazingly crispy, it wasn't very oily at all. The only complaint I have is that the California Roll does not have cucumber, that's just a matter of taste on my part. I was definitely missing that crunch. The spicy black ramen was delicious, that broth in there is strong and amazing! The Tonkotsu Miso was also great, with the broth being a great consistency. The eggs in both were tasty, and I loved the Chashu. Service has always been great every time I've gone with friends. They're always just on top of everything. The restaurant is bright, and has some nice decor inside. There's usually a fun food video on their TV as well. Overall, try it out, even if it's by yourself, or with a group of friends. Review for Veggie ramen only I ordered the veggie ramen at Yoshiharu Ramen and it turned out to be a very enjoyable meal. The first thing that stood out was how fresh and plentiful the vegetables were. The bowl came packed with broccoli bok choy carrots bean sprouts corn and wood ear mushrooms and everything tasted crisp flavorful and well prepared. The marinated eggs were excellent with soft creamy yolks that added richness to each bite. The overall portion size was generous and the bowl felt like a very balanced and satisfying mix of vegetables noodles and broth. The broth itself had a pleasant flavor but it was on the lighter side. It was tasty but not very thick or rich. Because of that I decided to add one extra serving of noodles which worked well but I could tell that the broth probably would not support a third serving without losing its flavor. Even with the lighter broth the ramen was filling clean tasting and comforting. If you enjoy a bowl that focuses more on fresh vegetables and a lighter broth rather than something heavy or oily this is a great option. My friend and I went for an early dinner on Tuesday and were surprised to see a new AYCE menu! We had to try it since it was only $24! There were a lot of ramen, appetizers and sushi rolls options! Honestly, we were both surprised by the amount of sushi rolls options! We started with ramen. I got a tonkatsu black. There were a lot of toppings. The noodles and the broth were fantastic! For appetizers we got grilled gyoza, shrimp tempura, and egg rolls. The grilled gyoza was delicious as the char from the grill added another level of complexity to the gyoza. A clear must order for sure. We were surprised to see shrimp tempura as one of the AYCE options. The tempura was crispy and not oily at all. This is another must order. The egg rolls were also crispy and full of vegetables. They were so good and would also order this again. I ordered spam musubi, a California roll, a Dragon roll and an OMG roll. The spam musubi is thick cut and served with a side of teriyaki sauce. The California roll was really packed. The dragon roll was simply delicious as was the thick OMG roll. All totally worth getting and can't wait to go back to try more. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. There is a lot of available parking in the shopping center that it is located. Service was amazingly friendly and helpful. The AYCE is only at the Garden Grove location and is available all day long. Cannot wait to come back and try more options on the AYCE menu. read more

I don't understand the good reviews, the ramen was not good. Both my friend and I ordered ramen. It arrived lukewarm. The broth had no umami nor richness typical of pork broth. The noodles were not springy and chewy - they were soggy and very soft, overcooked. The chashu was so fatty I couldn't eat it - it was 75% fat. My experience was just OK. I ordered the tonkotsu miso and my husband ordered the tonkotsu spicy black. Flavor-wise, it was decent, not too salty, but I've definitely have had better. My husband's was barely a mild spice level. What wasn't great, however, was that both of our broths were lukewarm at best. So it didn't taste as fresh and was off-putting to be honest. Not sure if it had to do with us coming in at an off-peak hour, and there was only one other group dining at the same time we were. Compared to the other numerous ramen establishments in OC, this place just didn't hit the mark. However, service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a spacious interior with numerous tables. I don't think there's ever a wait here and there will never be an issue finding parking in the large parking lot. The ramen looked decent, vegetables, toppings were okay. But the Chashu was really tough and too fatty. The Karage (fried chicken) looked and tasted like what you would get with fish and chips. I've never had Karage like this before. The table was sticky. The child booster was also sticky. Just felt like things haven't been cleaned in a while. The only redeeming quality were the nice and friendly employees. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back. I'm sad to write this review because I used to absolutely love coming here when I was waiting for my car wash. The last two times I've been has been really subpar for a few reasons. Ambiance: I walked in today with one other person and as soon as we walked in the server, chef and one other person were sitting/standing near the back just staring at us. No greeting or hello just blank stares. The server finally approached us and sat us at a table, there was one other small party inside at this time. We were looking through the menu and most items had been covered over with blue tape I suppose because they don't make those items any longer. Service: Waited for about 4 minutes and our server had not come to our table to greet us or ask for our drink order. It was very slow and there was no reason to not have been approached sooner. My guest and I got up and left and went across the street to yuki sushi. Food: The time before that was similar in experience but the food quality was not what it used to be. The Bento box usually had a house salad which was replaced with what seemed to be frozen carrots and broccoli, and the salmon and chicken tasted old. It's a shame what this restaurant has become and I hope the owners do something about the service/ food quality or I fear they will not last much longer at this location. read more

There was not a lot of ads for this because it was sort of a test. Their AYCE menu included appetizers, sushi and of course ramen! For Apps we got egg rolls, dumplings, seaweed salad, and spicy edamame and they were all good. We also ordered a few sushi rolls and spam musubi! And the spam was a thick cut!!! For my first round of ramen I got spicy tonkatsu which was good and not too spicy. Food was good but service was horrible. This is more of a reflection of the management than the server who was new and on her own. First of all, I waited over twenty minutes just to get my order taken. She was clearly overwhelmed and not properly trained. She was the only one taking care of all the tables and totally flustered. Until they make improvements I won't be coming back here. I ended up cancelling a to go order of sushi because it had been sitting there for half an hour on the counter unattended. The server tried to pass it off that it was newly prepared but I was watching everything. Here's a tip...don't lie to the customer. I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I've been here a couple times since it first opened and never had a bad experience. The reason I wanted to write a review is because I stopped by here a few weeks ago on a Friday night. I had never seen it as busy as it was that night. To top it off, they were understaffed; one cook, and one server. There had to be about 7 tables, most with multiple customers in each. The server was clearly trying her best and maintained excellent customer service while attending to all the tables and making sure all orders were being taken. slowly but surely my table got our ramen and it was as delicious as it always is. kudos to the staff for holding down the fort and continuing to take care of their customers. 20/10 experience.. First time visiting this restaurant and unfortunately the last. My food had a maggot in it, and once I asked for a remake, the 2nd dish also had another maggot. One of the chefs loudly exclaimed "whats wrong with it now" angrily despite there being bugs in the food. I asked for it to be removed from the check, and the server said he needed to talk to his team. They had a heated discussion about it and then the server took it off the bill. The water cups were dirty with white soap scum on the rim of the cups and the outside. Half of the menu was redacted. My friend asked for spinach noodles, the server needed to check with the chefs, the server then said the spinach noodles were avaliable it would just be a $2 upcharge. About 5 minutes later the sever said "the chef said can you please not get the spinach noodles" and my friend said ok with no other choice. At the end of the meal on the check, they charged us for the spinach noodles and we had to ask to get it removed since they did not have any. The spicy tuna rice and the veggie croquets were delicious. If you want to try this restaurant, please go to their other locations. read more
