    Whipped Ricotta Toscano
    Audrey R.

due to their being one in every neighborhood I was skeptical this wasn't a glorified Cheesecake Factory - and sometimes you're wrong and you just have to accept that! - I started with an espresso martini, which, even though it's not on the menu, it was wonderful. definitely deceivingly strong & perfectly balanced w/ a little bit of sweet in the strong espresso taste. love the foam & 3 necessary beans - the whipped ricotta is delicious. it is a fluffy lightspread with olive oil, a little bit of chili, & a pool of honey. the bites with honey & olive oil were the perfect combination of sweet + earthy - the Toscano salad was so simple yet so needed. we needed a light dish to balance out the other heavy Italian dishes. it had the most perfect coating of a light vinaigrette w/ thick, perfectly roasted soft carrots, flakes of parm, & seeds + tiny croutons for a crunch - the 3 pasta dishes all got stamps of approval. the pasta is made each day in house. the Gramigna pasta was the thickest so it really had an amazing chew to it. the rest just felt a little bit plain overall. the caprese ravioli is the definition of simple done well. the tomato sauce was light & slightly sweet. the Campanelle was buttery + a very slight tang from the lemon. it was definitely pepper forward, but that went well w/ buttery noodles & shrimp. - the side of broccolini was definitely overpriced at $13 but came with big chunks the vegetable. I appreciated the char going down the stem as well but think it could have been cooked for a bit longer to make the stems less snappy in texture

    The best brussel sprouts ever

I usually find Italian food bland, but this place had delicous food. I had the vodka pasta with the Buratta, and the brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were so good. The flavors were strong and unique. They were sweet, savory, and spicy. The pasta was rich and cheesy and savory. I personally didn't find the buratta added much flavor, but it was nice to try. My friend ordered the whipped ricotta which was pretty good, but not my favorite. We also tried the meatballs. These were quite good. The marinara sauce was well seasoned and the meatballs were soft and juicy with a great flavor. The service was good. Everyone was very kind. It was also a very lovely and beautiful restaurant. The food is pricy, but I found it worth it for the location, food, and ambiance.

The best rigatoni I've had in my whole life. The atmosphere the staff everything is just fantastic. We celebrated my daughter's 20th thank you exception.

I've visited La Pecora Bianca for brunch in Soho a couple years ago and it was memorable. Today's visit at their Bryant Park location was all about catching up with my close friend for lunch. As soon as I entered, I loved the minimalistic, sleek decor. It was packed! I arrived first and the hostess not only accommodated me earlier than our reservation time, but actually showed me to my table without requiring my friend to be present. I always appreciate this gesture which serves as a huge plus for me. When my friend arrived, we placed a twin order for the Spicy Limoncello Margarita. It was knock your socks off delicious. Their menu included a nice variety: from pizza and pasta to salads and mains. Lunch and dinner menu were one in the same. I chose the Chicken Paillard while my friend was in a salad mood which happened to be Farro with Grilled Chicken. If you're watching your waist and are feeling a carb overload, my selection will serve the purpose. It was light (grilled Chicken) topped with Arugula, tomatoes and toasted slivered almonds. It was so light that I finished way before my friend. The portion size was smaller than her grain salad. The salad looked good: copious Farro with grilled chicken and some other goodies, but she was unable to finish it all. Overall, we both enjoyed our selections. I loved the atmosphere, service and food during lunch today. If I didn't have pizza and pasta recently, I would have gone with either. Next time. Noise level was quite loud during prime lunch time since it was so crowded. It subsided a bit later. I definitely recommend.

My friend and I were visiting from LA and our hotel the Archer recommended this place for dinner. It's right across from Bryant Park. We loved it so much we went back and second time for dinner. The first night we sat at the bar (it was crowded and we didn't have reservations) and made some friends who recommended Ivan's (the bartender) espresso martinis. Although we were drinking some white wine we decided after finishing those we would try them. Ivan makes them special with a little Bailey's! They were incredible! Like a dessert but not too sweet. Ivan shared his recommendations with us and we had some good conversation. We ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and Brussels salad as well. All very tasty. A couple of nights later we went back and had the rigatoni with red sauce which was phenomenal and our favorite and the Toscana salad, also great. The pastas taste homemade and everything is so fresh, including the bread. We of course ordered espresso martinis again and Ivan thought it might be us again and came by to say hi. He makes the restaurant feel like family! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in my next visit. It is now my favorite restaurant in New York! Thank you so much Ivan!

Came back with my son for lunch. Pastas, pizza, and eggs Benedict were all delicious. They even had a kids menu.

I've been to this location a couple times, for both brunch and dinner, and the food and drinks have been fresh, flavorful and delicious. Even though it's a pretty large chain in New York City, the service is always quality and the food is always well cooked and hearty. Both times that I've gone, I've walked in without a reservation, but I do recommend making a reservation in advance if you're going during peak hours. The restaurant has both an upstairs and downstairs dining area, and it's beautifully decorated inside. The location is central & convenient, just across the street from Bryant Park and walking distance to Grand Central. This location does tend to get a bit more tourist traffic because of that, but it's still a nice spot to go to. I recently dined during restaurant week, and the $45 3-course dinner was well worth it. One particular highlight was the garganelli dish which had mushrooms, pesto and perfectly al dente pasta. Overall, if you're looking for an easygoing, reliable dining spot for brunch or dinner, I recommend checking out La Pecora Bianca - and they have quite a few locations around the city!

Ambiance: there's a lot of seating. We made reservation Service: the service was good Food $$: the food was really good. Pizza had good dough and pasta was really good. The calamari was also great and crunchy Audience: Solo Trip [X] Family Friendly [ X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: I highly recommend

Friendly service The decor isn't memorable Reservations are definitely needed but make sure you pick the correct location because there are different locations all over the cit We did the restaurant week deal it wasn't bad but not amazing It's a busy place and service is rushed No happy hour deals The bread isn't toasted but would be nice. Food is good but needs more flavor The tiramisu is huge and tasty The spritz's are refreshing but $19 each

Pecora Bianca is a staple Italian offering that comes up frequently in my rotation; I have been here many times over the years and most recently for both lunch and dinner for the 2026 winter restaurant week menus (it is a really great deal)! My favorite dishes at the restaurant are the whipped riccotta, garganelli pasta, and the chicken paillard. The pizzas here are also delicious. A special tip is that the tiramisu is delicous and huge, but uses coffee that is quite strong, watch out! The restaurant does get quite busy every day, but given how spacious it is inside, a reservation is not hard to place. Highly recommend for all occassions, as it is nice enough for special days but still can be down to earth for a casual meal.

The tables are small but enough, and it's a bit loud with a lot going on. However if you have great company you won't notice these things and it's delicious food that is great during a business lunch. Fantastic. Would love to return. They had me at freshly made pasta. Lunch dishes are about 30 each, plus tax and tip. Reservations recommended, it's busy.

Lively full bars on both main level or the Library on the lower floor. Great homemade pastas and assortments of aperitivos. Ordered 2 types of pasta & calamari & tiramisu for dessert. Wine selection was abundant, had a Piedmont brut and Tuscan Sangiovese which were really good! Excellent and knowledgeable staff who worked cohesively which made our experience even better. Very cool and hip vibe. This place is across the NY library on 40th St near Bryant Park. OBW, our Rest reservation was at 7pm but we showed up an hour or so early and they accommodated us, even despite the lines of people trying to dine in, so giving 5 stars for overall experience

I have come to this establishment several times and the food quality is always consistent and well prepared. The decor is welcoming and the servers are attentive. This last time we had the whipped ricotta, frito misto, LPB burger, rigatoni, and cacio e pepe. The pasta servers are for one, and very flavorful. The whipped ricotta is the best I have had. We also finished with the tiramisu for two. This dessert was soooooo big there is no way two people can finish it but it is really delicious.

It's a very popular destination so can get noisy but not so bad they you can't have a nice conversation with your table :) I didn't particularly notice the noise personally! :)

    How dressy is the resta?

It's whatever you want to dress as!! I think the vibe is nice but I wore jeans and a t shirt :) no need for black tie!

What is the difference between eating in the library or in the dining room?

The Library is a quieter room in a different area while the dining room is the main area and a bit louder.

Do they have heated outdoor dining?

Was there last night and I don't see outdoor seating.

It works especially well for a mixed group since they have plenty of options including dishes without meat and everyone can find something. Even my picky niece and nephew were happy. My favorite entree is the Capellini Puttanesca, with capers, olives, basil, and anchovies. It's super tasty, satisfying, and the perfect portion. I also love that they offer wine by the glass and the service is consistently attentive.
