This is a great place for italian food. It has an upscale feel and friendly staff. The white lamb theme is recurring in the decor. We got their garganelli, tagliatelle, and ravioli pastas. For dessert, the iconic tiramisu. Garganelli- This has a nice, arugula pesto sauce that has a rich garlicky finish. It's enhanced with roasted mushrooms and sharp pecorino. Tagliatelle- You get a rich pork and beef bolognese. The house made pasta is cooked to perfection. Pretty satisfying! Ravioli- This is a light, seasonal dish with pumpkin, brown butter, and sage. The sauce complements the sweet pumpkin and the brown butter adds a nuttiness. Tiramisu- This dessert was too cute to eat! It was decorated with a meek looking model of their namesake lamb. Nobody wanted to ruin its face so we slowly ate this from the outside in. The espresso it strong, complemented by the creamy marscapone layers. Textures and flavors were perfectly balanced. Highlights included the burrata (super soft and fresh, loved the caramelized apple), the vodka rigatoni (fresh, chewy, and so creamy, but it doesn't beat Il Corallo's), and the tiramisu (absolutely decadent, the marscapone flavor was so strong). We were a party of nine looking to have one last (memorable) meal before visiting relatives from Europe were headed back across the pond and we decided The White Sheep (thank you, Duolingo!) across from Bryant Park was the place to go. From the outside it didn't look like much but after passing through the two sets of glass doors... It's packed. And lively. And (really) loud. And it was only a Tuesday night?! (How are all of these people living so high on the hog, without a care in the world?!) We were escorted off to a little tucked-away enclave near the back, but the restaurant was just too boisterous and we had to shout just to talk to people at the other end of the table. We got our menus and there was a bit of 'sticker shock' on my part, I can't lie. "We're in NYC, what did you expect?" - the Mrs. whispered when she saw my eyes go wide. But $38 for chicken parm? (Which is what I went with after seeing it had its own little "parm-fection" hype on the menu.) And $36 for the Branzino (which consisted of one fillet on a small bed of wilted spinach)? Our table dabbled all over the place and for the most part everyone really enjoyed their meals. The food they're knocking out is legit, for sure. But the bill came out to over $60 a person (including the tip, but we didn't have apps or dessert and half of us just had water), which hurts when you're a cheap-o like myself. Our waitress was awesome (and she didn't even seem fazed when I tried to rattle her that we were going to split the check onto nine different credit cards... but we only used one). I usually find Italian food bland, but this place had delicous food. I had the vodka pasta with the Buratta, and the brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were so good. The flavors were strong and unique. They were sweet, savory, and spicy. The pasta was rich and cheesy and savory. I personally didn't find the buratta added much flavor, but it was nice to try. My friend ordered the whipped ricotta which was pretty good, but not my favorite. We also tried the meatballs. These were quite good. The marinara sauce was well seasoned and the meatballs were soft and juicy with a great flavor. The service was good. Everyone was very kind. It was also a very lovely and beautiful restaurant. I've visited La Pecora Bianca for brunch in Soho a couple years ago and it was memorable. Today's visit at their Bryant Park location was all about catching up with my close friend for lunch. As soon as I entered, I loved the minimalistic, sleek decor. It was packed! I arrived first and the hostess not only accommodated me earlier than our reservation time, but actually showed me to my table without requiring my friend to be present. I always appreciate this gesture which serves as a huge plus for me. When my friend arrived, we placed a twin order for the Spicy Limoncello Margarita. It was knock your socks off delicious. Their menu included a nice variety: from pizza and pasta to salads and mains. Lunch and dinner menu were one in the same. I chose the Chicken Paillard while my friend was in a salad mood which happened to be Farro with Grilled Chicken. If you're watching your waist and are feeling a carb overload, my selection will serve the purpose. It was light (grilled Chicken) topped with Arugula, tomatoes and toasted slivered almonds. It was so light that I finished way before my friend. The portion size was smaller than her grain salad. The salad looked good: copious Farro with grilled chicken and some other goodies, but she was unable to finish it all. Overall, we both enjoyed our selections. I loved the atmosphere, service and food during lunch today. If I didn't have pizza and pasta recently, I would have gone with either. Next time. My friend and I were visiting from LA and our hotel the Archer recommended this place for dinner. It's right across from Bryant Park. We loved it so much we went back and second time for dinner. The first night we sat at the bar (it was crowded and we didn't have reservations) and made some friends who recommended Ivan's (the bartender) espresso martinis. Although we were drinking some white wine we decided after finishing those we would try them. Ivan makes them special with a little Bailey's! They were incredible! Like a dessert but not too sweet. Ivan shared his recommendations with us and we had some good conversation. We ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and Brussels salad as well. All very tasty. A couple of nights later we went back and had the rigatoni with red sauce which was phenomenal and our favorite and the Toscana salad, also great. The pastas taste homemade and everything is so fresh, including the bread. We of course ordered espresso martinis again and Ivan thought it might be us again and came by to say hi. I've been to this location a couple times, for both brunch and dinner, and the food and drinks have been fresh, flavorful and delicious. Even though it's a pretty large chain in New York City, the service is always quality and the food is always well cooked and hearty. Both times that I've gone, I've walked in without a reservation, but I do recommend making a reservation in advance if you're going during peak hours. The restaurant has both an upstairs and downstairs dining area, and it's beautifully decorated inside. The location is central & convenient, just across the street from Bryant Park and walking distance to Grand Central. This location does tend to get a bit more tourist traffic because of that, but it's still a nice spot to go to. I recently dined during restaurant week, and the $45 3-course dinner was well worth it. One particular highlight was the garganelli dish which had mushrooms, pesto and perfectly al dente pasta. Pecora Bianca is a staple Italian offering that comes up frequently in my rotation; I have been here many times over the years and most recently for both lunch and dinner for the 2026 winter restaurant week menus (it is a really great deal)! My favorite dishes at the restaurant are the whipped riccotta, garganelli pasta, and the chicken paillard. The pizzas here are also delicious. A special tip is that the tiramisu is delicous and huge, but uses coffee that is quite strong, watch out! The restaurant does get quite busy every day, but given how spacious it is inside, a reservation is not hard to place. La Pecora Bianca's food is delicious, well-balanced flavors all around. My issue wasn't with the food, but more with the seating setup and a bit of the front-of-house communication. We came on a busy night without a reservation, fully expecting a wait (if we weren't turned away). No problem there. We were told we could grab a seat in the bar area if one opened up, which felt like the standard response, so we chose to wait for a table instead. The waiting area itself is tight. You're hovering near the kitchen door or standing above the dining guests. There's no text or phone system, so if your name is called and you're not right there, you're skipped. Again, fine, just something to be aware of. After about a 45-minute wait, we were seated at what turned out to be a long, narrow bar-style table with stools, seated elbow-to-elbow with strangers. This wasn't disclosed beforehand, and we had assumed we'd be seated at a traditional table. The table was so narrow that if two people across each other ordered plates, they had to be staggered just to fit. When I asked if we could wait longer for a standard table, the host explained that the bar top seats were designated for walk-ins. That was confusing, since earlier he had gestured toward the same area when mentioning the bar. I understand it was the holidays and things get hectic, but clearer communication around seating would have made a big difference. Had we known we'd be seated so closely with strangers, we likely would have chosen another restaurant. Once seated, we decided to stay and eat. Our server was wonderful and handled the cramped setup as best as possible, often having to reach across guests to serve and clear plates to no fault of his own. I wouldn't rule out coming back but I don't live in NYC. I would definitely recommend planning ahead. We were finishing up at Bryant Park when we wanted a place to eat & there happened to be a location right across the street. Nice, clean, classy interior. I've been here many times, as the food is pretty good and service is reliable. We came around 8:30pm on a Friday with no reservation and were able to get a table for two outside. We were told it would not be near a heater and although not directly under it, I could feel the heat so it wasn't bad. If you have the chance to sit inside though, I would recommend. It's quite nice. This time I decided to switch it up and order the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe. Not my favorite, I found it to be very greasy and not cheesy enough. Server was very nice and we got our food relatively quickly. For the payment, however, you scan a QR code and you have to enter your credit card information manually. This I found to be very annoying, when a server could just tap the card on a machine and it would take two seconds. After the fact I received an email saying the payment didn't go through because I entered a number wrong, even though the restaurants website said I was all good. Then we had to flag down the server and she had to check on the back end to see if it went through. Whole thing just seems very easily avoidable! I travel to the city for work and often need a place to dine solo. From the outside, the vibe looked warm and inviting. That's exactly what it was. I sat at the bar and ordered a simple pasta with red sauce, some meatballs, and broccolini. The pasta was perfectly al dente and absorbed the red sauce nicely. I appreciate that I was not offered grated cheese or fresh ground pepper. It was served as the chef intended, showing off the tomatoes, accented only by the herbs and spices. The meatballs were juicy and plump with bread and a good amount of sauce. The salad was fine and could have had more dressing for sure. The Roasted Chicken entree was actually not too dry for a chicken dish. The potatoes and broccolini with it were both seasoned very well. The Gramigna was good but could've been a tad more soft or al dente for my liking. We ended with both flavors of the Cannoli; Vanilla and Nutella. Their cannoli is less heavy than most classic cannolis as the cream was quite light and airy. The server refilled our waters constantly and brought new cutlery throughout the course which was nice. Popped into La Pecora Bianca during a quick NYC work trip and I'm SO glad I did. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted by an amazing bartender (Ahsan) who whipped up a delicious gin martini-style cocktail that hit the spot (I definitely deserved it)! It was Restaurant Week, so I went with the 3-course special: Caesar salad (extra dressing on the side, of course), the chicken entrée recommended by both the bartender and server, and a Nutella cannoli to finish.
