I felt the money drive from the beginning and the press for repeated consultations on my root canal. The price quote I received the first time, change to an even more expensive charge after I had a dispute with the front desk. Nice smiles, pretty faces, but are not trained how assist with efficient solutions and thorough clarity of communication . Addressing concerns of makes them defensive and they either say the wrong thing or don't say anything at all. Lack of customer service skills. When I requested to speak to the owner I was directed to Mario. Seemed nice on the first call explaining my dilemma and he compensated a cleaning I was turned away (to get at first when they only told me when I got their my insurance doesn't cover it after I spoke to them the day before to confirm appointment) for the inconvenience. He acted concerned and said he will make sure any other service ( my root canal) will be discount and make sure I'm happy because "Money didn't matter to their practice". Now that's when I should have ran to the reviews to see if they follow what they say, and believed my gut... cause he was overly nice. Red flag That was then when I erased my attempt to yelp thinking it would be what he said. The jokes on me. Following week I then got my cleaning by the Hygienst that I like they set up another root canal counseling, which even he was confused why I was there. The story wasn't gonna change on what I needed and he really didn't do anything but agree with what was said in my file. I then came back to the front and the quote I got was more than the first one. The same girl I have a dispute with had a dismissive attitude, tried to smile thru it but neglected the point of being there. I asked is this discounted she said yes ( which it wasn't as I have my other statement from prior) and then I left out having to go back in to mention the appointment I needed to make for next appointment. I asked why didn't you finalize appointment and she said cause " you didn't seem you wanted it". That was not true as when she asked me did I want to set it up I said yes we just got into the discussion about the price and Mario. Instead of her referencing back to it to confirm she was dismissive like mentioned earlier. When I left I called Mario to share the in counter that he said he would make sure he would talk to front desk about previously as a follow up and he didn't answer. In that call I left a voice note explain in case he was out of town and he didn't return my message. With in the last 3 months I have phoned and left messages 8 different times and he refuses to address where we left off to correct what he said he prides his will to make sure customers are happy cause he would want that to happen to him and his family. My son and I were inconvenienced and had to make different trips back just for her mishap several times as I minimize the encounters because clearly the other clients have bigger problems than I do. I'm just glad I didn't give them my money. They got what they needed from insurance. Guess I was pushed out of there practice like other customers on here I see where but silently. The way Mario has handled me makes sense why the mask on their office seems nice at first unlit it's not and then they are passive aggressive. They then gave me glasses where I can control my phone through it so I watched a movie and didn't feel any pain at all. The doctor kept checking in with me and I was doing completely fine! And he tried for a long time. He referred me out but I decided to check around. I chose MHEG after doing the math and reading reviews. But "Alex" solidified my visit. Over the phone she addressed my concerns and basically proved that this clinic wasn't just about the money. Other Endo's that I phoned said they would keep 1/2 the cost if the procedure was unsuccessful! Imagine that. Also the others were more expensive. The fees were discussed over the phone and if they couldn't complete the procedure they would take 350.00 which was much less than everyone else AND, that included x-rays and cat scans. Okay...that was Alex doing her job...by the way Marvel IYKYK... Went straight to the chair in an on time appointment. No wait. X-rays and then cat scans were done immediately. Then the consult with Dds Kang with Griselda by his side. He confirmed the difficulty of what I thought. There was no guarantee but he would do his best. ...and it was Friday the 13th! All work done under a microscope. Precision work and never felt any pain. I was asked if i was in pain multiple times. The only thing I felt was the success of each of the 4 canals being opened. I didn't say anything cause I wanted to be sure but when Dds concluded and explained the rest of the plan I understood that he managed to accomplish the mission. He will check it again in a few months to be sure there's no infection but I already feel the healing. The illness was released. Went from a massive abscess and potential tooth pull to one day later feeling relief from a huge tooth issue. Dds is amazing. Professional and confident, Delicate precision over the instruments he used to accomplish a successful root canal on a most difficult tooth. And Griselda was a pro. Her personality glows and she loves what she does. It's easy to see. I should also mention that she had every item that Kang needed at the ready the entire time. I'll close with the fact that cost matters as does expertise. I found MHEG to be a good combination of both. Just like my current dentist. They have forwarded their report to my primary dentist. To make a long story short: Dr. Jovicich is top notch. After studying the X-ray he found a small fracture in the tooth and determined that the tooth had developed a minor infection. The root canal was done in minutes - less than 45 minutes - maybe only a half hour! Sometimes when you watch someone work you just know that they know what they're doing as they plug away without hesitation. This was one of those times. It was like watching Bob Ross paint happy little trees or Edward Scissorhands cut hair. I highly recommend Dr. Jovocich for your Endo needs although this is also a situation where I don't necessarily want to be back in his chair anytime soon, if you know what I mean. But I feel confident and relieved that if I do need a root canal I'm going back to see him and his awesome staff. Good day!
