Apologies if I inadvertently left anyone out. The great thing about Northridge Advanced Dentistry is they are open on Saturday and took me for an Emergency basically same day, right away. What happened to me was on Friday Night celebrating my birthday I was eating excellent birthday cake and somehow my dental bridge of a few years with 4 implants I think, suddenly got loose but did not come out by itself- almost like a Yo-Yo for lack of a better term. I was afraid of it accidently finally coming out on its own when I was sleeping and swallowing it. I had called my regular dentist who operates independently elsewhere and he told me not to pull the bridge out on my own (he hadn't seen the problem) and he was in NYC for a week and couldn't see me till he got back to LA! I spent all evening trying to find a 24 hour dentist in Los Angeles- there are none I could find despite numerous listings on Google saying 24 Hour dentist, but I was fortunate enough to speak to Marlyn at Advanced Dentistry in Nothridge and she booked me that Saturday morning. Dr. Nia was able to glue the bridge back on perfectly, answered all my questions and reassured me everything would be fine which it was. Now when the day came, the nerves were a little high again. But the entire staff was so kind and open that they truly made me feel better. When I got into the chair, they gave me a topic numbing and then several shots to be extremely numb, and I didn't feel it at all! They then gave me glasses where I can control my phone through it so I watched a movie and didn't feel any pain at all. The doctor kept checking in with me and I was doing completely fine! After the procedure, he told us how my premature roots caused problems, but even with my difficulties, they did an amazing job at working with it and healing me! Prior to that I was with 1 Dds who did "complete restoration" 7 years earlier.) It was so bad that the roots had become calcified. Unable to find and or penetrated by regular means. And he tried for a long time. He referred me out but I decided to check around. I chose MHEG after doing the math and reading reviews. But "Alex" solidified my visit. Over the phone she addressed my concerns and basically proved that this clinic wasn't just about the money. Other Endo's that I phoned said they would keep 1/2 the cost if the procedure was unsuccessful! Imagine that. Also the others were more expensive. The fees were discussed over the phone and if they couldn't complete the procedure they would take 350.00 which was much less than everyone else AND, that included x-rays and cat scans. Okay...that was Alex doing her job...by the way Marvel IYKYK... Went straight to the chair in an on time appointment. No wait. X-rays and then cat scans were done immediately. Then the consult with Dds Kang with Griselda by his side. He confirmed the difficulty of what I thought. There was no guarantee but he would do his best. ...and it was Friday the 13th! All work done under a microscope. Precision work and never felt any pain. I was asked if i was in pain multiple times. The only thing I felt was the success of each of the 4 canals being opened. I didn't say anything cause I wanted to be sure but when Dds concluded and explained the rest of the plan I understood that he managed to accomplish the mission. He will check it again in a few months to be sure there's no infection but I already feel the healing. The illness was released. Went from a massive abscess and potential tooth pull to one day later feeling relief from a huge tooth issue. Dds is amazing. Professional and confident, Delicate precision over the instruments he used to accomplish a successful root canal on a most difficult tooth. And Griselda was a pro. Her personality glows and she loves what she does. It's easy to see. I should also mention that she had every item that Kang needed at the ready the entire time. I'll close with the fact that cost matters as does expertise. I found MHEG to be a good combination of both. Just like my current dentist. They have forwarded their report to my primary dentist. I'll update as things progress but so far very pleased.

To make a long story short: Dr. Jovicich is top notch. After studying the X-ray he found a small fracture in the tooth and determined that the tooth had developed a minor infection. The root canal was done in minutes - less than 45 minutes - maybe only a half hour! Sometimes when you watch someone work you just know that they know what they're doing as they plug away without hesitation. This was one of those times. It was like watching Bob Ross paint happy little trees or Edward Scissorhands cut hair. I highly recommend Dr. Jovocich for your Endo needs although this is also a situation where I don't necessarily want to be back in his chair anytime soon, if you know what I mean. But I feel confident and relieved that if I do need a root canal I'm going back to see him and his awesome staff. Good day!
