    Variety pan dulce
    Steff D.

In the area and looked for a panadería on yelp. This spot came up and it's so goood. Bread is fresh soft, they offer a good variety. Pricing from 75 cents to $2 a piece depending on bread. Customer service could be better, times I've visited they don't have but maybe 2 customers and they seem to rush you when selecting your bread.

Of course my little one wanted a concha cake for his birthday. So while I was at Jimenez one day, I figured I would ask, not thinking they made large sized conchas. To my pleasant surprise, the young lady said "yes, we do!" She was so patient and kind while helping me place the order. The custom order, cake sized, 12x12 concha was just as soft and flavorful as the conchitas, and most importantly, just as delicious. They let you order it in any color...so lime green (my sons favorite color) it was!

Very basic in terms of operations, but very affordable and delicious. Picked up a jugo de naranja (fresh juice with orange and pineapple I think), two conchas (conch shell shaped sweetbreads) and two fruit empanadas (triangle shaped pastry with fruit inside). The kids loved it, and they grew up with their grandmas excellent baking! Very pleasant service. Please enjoy and support small businesses!

Love these mom and pops bakeries. Woman behind the counter was sweet and helpful. Endless variety of pan dulce. It's 4 pm, concha and conchitas are fresh and pillowy soft. Scrumptious!! Looking forward to trying other items. Bakery opens at 5:30 for the early risers. Plastic and mobile pay apps are useless here. Cash money gets you the goodies. Support small business and get you some.

Mini conchitas, iced shortbread cookie, mini bolillo w/cream cheese & mini cream cheese and cherry shortbread turnover. ALL DELICIOUS!!!

Very tasty mexican bakery, the best in the area, not the best I've tried though. I bought a very good rosca de reyes.

I love cream pan. I'm not a big pastry/bread person, but after going to the Tustin one years ago,…read moreit's one of my favorite bakeries. Why? All their bread is so light and pastries aren't too sweet. If this is your first time- get the strawberry croissant. It's the best. This location is way more spacious than Tustin too, but parking is a bit limited. We were able to find street parking because the lot was full. We got- Egg Sando (4/5) closest thing to Japan with their milk bread and def used kewpie. I just wish there was more egg filling. Chicken katsu (5/5) just like how I remember. Curry is so fragrant and slightly sweet. Chicken is crispy Strawberry croissant (5/5): a must. Do it. There's a reason why they sell platters of it Plenty of seating inside. I saw people working or catching up. Service is friendly and efficient

The interior is spacious and there were many customers picking up and dining in on a Sunday mid - day. Plenty of seating and air conditioning for comfort. The assortment of baked breads, pastries, and cakes were impressive, made with quality, and attractively presented. We opted for the Strawberry croissant, azuki cream and blueberry croissant. The pastries were freshly made and so yummy. Service at the counter was friendly and prompt, with several staff members assisting customers. Although this location is inconvenient for me since it's a trek to get to, I would certainly return here if I'm nearby the city of Lomita.

Nonna Mercato holds a special place in our hearts. They are like members of the family at this…read morepoint because we are there every week reliably. At least a few times. Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Baked eggs are delicious! It's like a shashuka style egg dish baked in a clay pot. Comes with two…read moresmall slices of bread. My qualm about Nonna's is this: Baked goods already purchased cannot be eaten at dining table. So with that said, you're eating Baked Eggs with 2 small slices of bread that is not enough...and they will not let you grab a piece of bread you just bought at their bakery to dip into the egg sauce. WTH is that logic???? Honestly, not cool. And their bread is HELLA EXPENSIVE. If I'm going to buy your expensive bread and pay to sit at your table, WHY CANT I EAT THE BREAD I JUST BOUGHT? Makes no sense!! So now I make my own Baked Eggs and my own bread. I can eat as much as I want. 4/5 for Baked Eggs 1/5 for their bakery policy
