The own treats her work bad by under paying them over working them the Legal amount and has a tip jar the the own pockets and is rude and bad mouth her work when the own make a mistake. La propia trata mal su trabajo pagándoles menos que trabajándoles la cantidad Legal y tiene un tarro de propinas en los bolsillos y es grosera y habla mal de su trabajo cuando los propios se equivocan.

Had to stop in after I went to Montoyas and they had no Menudo! Must be good cause they sold out. But what a pleasant surprise it was, Menudo hot coffee and fresh bread! This took me back to old school mom and pop shops that I have not seen in so long! I felt like a kid in a candy store this place is off the beaten path so if you don't know ask someone about it. I found it by accident little old lady selling tamales put me hip to this place. There might be a line out the door but its worth the wait to take a peek inside even if you don't buy anything. I think this will be my new place just for the bread and coffee but wow what a great place it is!

i have been coming to this establishment for quite some time now and i can tell you they have the best pan dulce around

    Chocolate Mexicano.

Traveled to visit this hidden gem. Authentic pan mexicano. Delicious, everything you grew up tasting. Had a warm bolillo with the hot chocolate they make. It was the best food I had my whole trip. Thank you for continuing to make delicious food. Have had the delicious menudo too! Don't sleep on this place. Stop by, wear a mask and enjoy the best pan Mexicano in California.

Usually stop by this place for cafe de olla, which is amazing. Today I bought a bolillo with chorizo and papa. Two bites into my bolillo, something felt weird. Pulled this piece of string out of my mouth, which was in the bread. I don't know what the backroom looks like where they get everything ready, but if this is in my bread, I don't think I even want the coffee anymore. If you don't care about cleanliness, this is still a good coffee spot.

REALLY good mexican Pan Dulce. A little pricier than most mexican bakeries. But the bread really does speak for its self. Its fresh, soft and always has a good selection. Unless you go right before they close you might only find the basics [conchas, orejas, short bread style cookies etc.] Plus it has a small market inside...buy your milk, coke, or cheese along with your bread.

The Conchas that almost didn't make it!

Greatest stuffed bolios I've come across. I'm from Orange County and I drive all the way to Wilmington for these and it's worth it.

The best Cafe de olla in town. Their jalapeño and cheese bolillos are also out of this world. Highly recommended!

All the cakes are prebaked and packaged, but one can come in to have it decorated with custom lettering while you wait. While we waited, we also ordered two other things that we all love from here: their shanghai style egg rolls (25 pieces for $21) and their miki bihon pancit (medium, enough to feed a family, for $21). We've tried a lot of different version from different places all over, and have come to the conclusion that we like the version at Gemmae's, the best (as long as for my wife, they skip adding patis to the pancit). They also have a turo turo steam table here. The yellow curry chicken caught my eye, so got a small container of that. I love that this shop offers both savory food and sweets, so definitely come hungry. The service was quick and friendly, and the interior made me feel like I was transported straight to the Philippines. Pro tip: stop by around 1 pm-3 pm for a great experience.

Nonna has become our go to bakery, our sweet retreat, and one of our favorite local brunch spots. Now, they even have happy hour and, during the summer, dinner (Nonna Summer Nights)! And all of the food is amazing. Seriously, truly legit! We buy bread from there each week. No more "big box store" bread you freeze. They make their bread fresh daily. They only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients with no preservatives. It's nice to look at an ingredient list and not see a paragraph for bread (and be able to pronounce all the names!). And their cupcakes and sweets. Yo, seriously so good. And the thing is, because of the ingredients they use, we don't feel heavy or overly wired after eating cake or cupcakes from them. From other places you can tell they use preservatives, refined sugars, processed ingredients. But with Nonna, you can just taste the difference. We even had them make our special cake for our wedding! We recently tried their dinner (twice!) and it exceeded expectations. Now, mind you, all of their food has always been good but our experience was amazing. Their prix fixe menu was well put together, wine pairings on point, dessert was also delicious. Our favorite was the tiramisu! Also loved the spaghattini and casarecce pastas, and entrecôte di manzo, but everything was great. Their brunch is also great, you really can't go wrong on the menu. And I think we've gone through almost all of it! Finally, (if you've stayed with me this long!) the absolute best thing about Nonna for us is the TEAM. Hands down no question. The food is good, space is a comfortable neighborhood vibe, and all that. But truly the folks here are amazing humans. Always friendly, warm, and welcoming. If the management team is reading this, you all have a great group of people there! We will definitely be back (again and again and again) and you should too!

Located in the quaint Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, street parking was plentiful right outside the restaurant. We came around noon on Saturday, and thankfully despite their busy brunch rush we were seated immediately. Even though all of their seating is outdoors, tables are shaded by overhanging canopy and just added to the cute southern Italian bistro vibes of the place. The menu had a solid selection of both brunch and lunch items - I loved the Burrata di Campagna, which was flavorful with just the right amount of tart from the heirloom tomatoes. For my main meal I had to go with the Casarecce - one of their pastas that's made fresh in house daily. The braided pasta was wonderfully textured and soaked up all the pesto sauce without being overly oily, a perfect meal for a hot summer day. We finished our meal with a Nutella Croissant, from their artisan bakery that also makes their bread fresh every day. Perhaps I am a little biased, but the laminated dough was perfectly light and flaky, encasing a very generous filling of hazelnut chocolate cream. Our check at the end of the meal even came with a custom drawn postcard by one of the Nonna Mercato service staff - another present to add on to what was already a gift of a meal!

On the second trip for the actual birthday pie, I picked the salted caramel b/c the group is a chocolate crowd. Third time, just wanted pie! Also sampled the cutie pies in the jar... The Lemon Lavender Pie was a little too subtle on lavender. The Key Lime Pie lacked that tart, tangy punch. On the positive side, the service was friendly, and the shop had a cozy atmosphere with board games available for customers to enjoy.
