I saw that the ratings for Ramiros were mostly average. I was looking for a place to eat that didn't close at nine and wasn't in California and there was not a big selection. I brought my family here to try it. I ordered the Chimichanga with carne asada and my son-in-law ordered the carne asada potato. When I got my chimichanga it was huge! I shared it with the rest of my family because they hadn't brought everyones food. They liked it and when I took a bite the taste was amazing! I got french fries instead of the rice and beans. This was a good compliment to the burrito. I noticed that my family went again last night! I know that the torta was also good. I really don't think you can go wrong with most of the menu but I only tried the potato which had chunks of cheese, sour cream and bacon. Hot, fresh and delicious. The only thing I will say is that it would be better to get it to go since the dining area is not the nicest and if you must eat inside, the seating is limited. Overall a great experience! Ordered Ramirez's Mexican Restaurant on Uber Eats and caught a crazy deal on their birria tacos. Honestly, they were insanely good. Hands down better than any fast food Mexican spot I've been to. Was traveling all week for work and the final spot was Tucson. There wasn't much open but whenever I'm in Tucson I make sure to eat the Mexican food. And I'm glad I chose Ramiro's for my 10pm meal. First off you may be scared off by the looks. Get past that. Because the food is amazing and the folks helping you at the counter are nice people. And for the price you're getting sooooo much food. I ordered the taco and burrito plate with carne asada. Comes with the mentioned and rice with beans. Drink as well. I got the horchata and it was mixed strong but that's okay because I can dilute with water. Rather that then a watery horchata. The burrito? Delicious and filling the carne asada cooked right. The taco? Also amazing. The guacamole ties it all together. Gobbled down way more than I should have, headed back to my hotel and passed out. Ramiro's was there for me when I needed them most. Service is always amazing and the food good quality, but sometimes the beans are iffy and they hurt my stomach.

This is definitely worth the drive to the Southside for delicious Mexican food-it's the real deal. I catch the drive-through whenever I'm getting that craving for authentic truly tasty Mexican food - and the "plates" are huge and loaded. I can't really speak to the inside seating, but the guys at the window are always friendly and fast so there's that. The frijoles are top notch and the rice delish. This is a small taqueria next to another taqueria next to it. Most people who eat at Ramiro's tend to order through their busy drive-thru restaurant, or pick up their food to go. I had walked part of the Loop earlier today and wanted to try a taqueria on the south side of town. This little place fit the bill. I ordered #19, the enchilada with a burro ($11.55 plus tax.) O.M.G! So happy we accidentally found this place and decided to give it a try. A total hole in a wall diner with amazing food!! So much flavor and totally worth alllll the calories. They have an extensive menu with lots of staples as well as unique items plus you can customize everything. Breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious, and El Chipolon (burrito wrapped in bacon) was beautiful! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Because just a month ago my husband had the best chili he has experienced in decades, he insisted we do it again. WELL...was the worst ever in 77 years of eating and I even didn't want to try after smelled and said no. Based on other reviews here, my spouse and I split a #15 combo (includes two huge carne asada burritos, a large drink, beans and rice). At around $13, the #15 weighs about 3 pounds (!) representing tremendous value for your hard-earned peso. The steak had perfect seasoning and flavor. The included guacamole and Pico melded well with the meat to create a very savory burrito. (My spouse had a horchata and she said it was also delish.) We stopped here just to get a quick lunch. I ordered the chile releno combo platter, which came with rice, beans and a little pico de gallo, and my wife got 2 tacos a la carte. I got a lot more food than I expected. I got 2 chile relenos, which I expected, but they were huge and really stuffed with cheese; they were good, as were the sides. My wife said her tacos were greasy. The guy who took my order was happy to refill my soda, which was appreciated. They dont have a lot of seating inside so we ate outside. The inside isn't particularly clean, though so that's ok. Also, this place has no bathroom; unusual for a restaurant. I would order from them again, but maybe get it to go. read more

On a busy street (Valencia & 6th), in an unassuming building between a taqueria and an auto repair shop, there is a fast food restaurant named Ramiro's. Oh mah Gawd. We came in not expecting much, and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The beans and rice were delicious, the salsa was very flavorful without being overwhelmingly hot, and the bacon & eggs I ordered were very tasty-and plentiful. The flour tortilla was HUGE. It's not impressive on the outside, but the food was excellent, and the price was reasonable for the amount of food we got. My only gripe? No unsweetened iced tea, but that was a very small issue. 9.9/10 for sure. We'll be back, if we're in the area. read more

I don't get it! We came here because of the great reviews. But it is very disappointing! The chicken in the tacos tasted like it came right out of the can. The enchilada had way too much cheese. The chili was not very spicy. Beans and rice were OK. Salsa and chips were almost pure jalapeños. Same with the other salsas. (The red was OK) But just no subtlety at all. I'm greedy so I order for later too lol don't judge me. I ordered the #18, two carne asada tacos with beans and rice, I opted out of the beans. I also ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Huge portions, they didn't skimp on the ingredients, everything seemed fresh. The fish was crispy but got a bit soggy as you got closer to the center where it mixed with the sauce. The shrimp were juicy and not over cooked. The carne was good, the guac was flavorful... Didn't try either salsas because they weren't necessary but they did put them in the bag. I really liked their flavors but my four stars are based solely on the fact that I hated their tortillas. They were disgusting and too hard in my opinion. I'd go back but I'd definitely ask if I could switch up the tortilla or try the enchiladas! read more

Thanks to all the reviews, we noticed this place was close to our hotel on a recent stay in Tucson so we stopped by to pick up dinner & it was really good. Everything was authentically made & delicious. The portions were huge. Each single item we ordered could have easily feed two on its own. We had plenty of leftovers.
