Scallops are tender and beef Wellington was cooked perfectly medium rare. Tried the sticky wings as well as the sticky toffee pudding which was an awesome surprise as Im not a fan of Toffee. Went on Thanksgiving Eve which was a great time cause it was only restaurant open and you had the boardwalk all to yourself after dinner. You order all your food at once and you get it in courses. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view of the Chisholm Creek area. Service was spectacular and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Every course came out quick and warm! The fish and chips were fried perfectly without being overly breaded and greasy. The beef Wellington was cooked perfectly, not over or under done. I'm going to start with the service in this review because that was by far the best experience from this visit. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter, to the guy who brought us our food was amazing! Like most people who have a pulse--my husband and I were excited about eating here because we're obviously fans of GR's and we are big foodies. Let me preface this by saying that I myself, am a phenomenal chef and most of the meals we eat, we eat at home because let's face it--there aren't a ton of life changing options in OKC, let alone Oklahoma. The cocktails were delicious. Actually no complaints there except they were insanely expensive and insanely tiny. I'm not saying I need a bucket of booze when I enjoy my meal but a thimble of a beverage for a crazy price is just way way too much. The food was hands down some of the worst overpriced food I've ever eaten. We started with the tuna tartare which was actually pretty good and the Parker rolls--also not bad. The butter that came with the rolls was so salty I couldn't eat it though so I just ate dry bread. For entrees, my husband got the Wellington because well....thats what you do when you go to Ramsay's, right?! He actually said it was good but without previous experience with this dish, there wasn't really anything to compare it to. I know people complain about the portions here but they were roughly what you'd expect from a supposed high end restaurant, which this place IS NOT by the way. My entree was the scallops, which is something I eat almost every time I go to a nice restaurant and even at places like FRIDA Southwest I at least get 4 scallops. I got 3 unbelievably overcooked scallops. Literally like rubber. With a name like GR on the damn building you'd think the one thing the cooks wouldn't want to do is overcook scallops! Right? Overall this place was really disappointing but the salt in the wound was the price!!!! It was a Red Lobster experience (never eaten there before but I assume that is accurate) with fine dining prices! I spend the same amount eating at FRIDA Southwest where the chef was up for or was an apprentice for a guy who won a James Beard and am wowed every time because their food is actually delicious and always cooked to perfection. If you actually like delicious food and the money you work hard for--avoid this place like the plague. You'd honestly be better off going to Eddies down the street, at least that crappy food is reasonably priced. read more

So I came in on a first date at 8 . We sat at the bar after about 40 mins our food came out . I got the filet mignon M AND HE GOT THE FISH AND CHIPS . I received my steak and tried to eat it even though it was cooked Rare as heck. They took it back to the kitchen and brought me back my same steak still undercooked MR at best I told the bartender if u can have them just butterfly it and try one more time . He was empathetic and I appreciated him . My steak was brought back again but still not Medium we all three agreed . I also brought up the fact I never received a NEW steak . Firstly- I do want to give credit where credit is due. I really appreciated Ramsay's kitchen for accommodation for our group when there was a host mishap about the number of people we were allowed. That being said. We enjoyed scotch eggs, shrimp scampi and rolls. All of which were fairly enjoyable. Then came the entrees. Which we waited about an hour for even ordering them WITH the appetizer. In the that time we saw tables around us changing customers AND getting their food before us. We were most excited for the beef Wellington of course. After waiting for however long- we got our food. Most of it was cold or cool. And unfortunately the beef Wellington was indeed bland. No flavor at all. We expressed we weren't really enjoying ourselves to our server and a manager came and asked "would you like us to remake it" to which my friend responded "well no??" (Because we had just waited an entire hour for just the entrees.) and the manager simply walked off. In reality I realize we probably should have just sent our plates back and asked for a comp because it was so terrible. I feel like there is faults on both sides, but truly felt like the management team didn't care to remedy. Not to mention it was loud and freezing- even with coats on! Most of us are in our mid 20's and have been servers before. We get it TRUST me but it was so cold in there we were losing feeling in our fingers! Even after asking if there was something we could do. To sit in a freezing restaurant for 2 1/2 - 3 hours and get slapped with a $250 bill for just my husband and I AND not enjoy the main selling point was just a slap in the face. We drove up from Fort Worth just to come to this restaurant and it's one of the best decisions we ever made! The second we walked in, we loved the vibe and the staff. We sat at the bar while waiting for our reservation, and our bartender Frankie, made perfect drinks. The espresso martini she made was the best one my fiancée EVER had (his words). We got to our table and our waitress Kat was also fantastic. The beef Wellington, I can't even describe how amazing it was. Probably the best thing I've ever eaten, no exaggeration. A three star rating isbeing generous for my experiance. This place is all hype. The meals were over priced and the portion extremely small. You are greated with a glass of cool, not cold, water and with no ice. Although there were several patrons in the restaurant, they attempted to seat my 2 person party in between two tables of 4. One would have to turn sideways to squeeze through. And although we were relocated the staff did squeeze another couple into that spot, that is, once they removed the coats thrown across the seats by other patrons. The food was average at best. You might say I am a devout Gordon Ramsay fan because I'm pretty sure I watch every tv show of his. My wife and I went to his bar & grill in Vegas and loved it. I was so excited to see he was opening a restaurant in OKC right before our anniversary. I made reservations and when making the reservation online it asked if it was a special occasion. I checked the anniversary box. Not sure why they asked because there was no mention of it at the restaurant. I didn't expect anything elaborate or free but hoped to impress my wife with a "Happy Anniversary" or something written on our plates as is done at many upscale restaurant. I was dying to try the Wellington since it is his signature dish. It was great but worth $67? I don't think so. My wife had the filet and it was also great. Service was good and all the food was excellent. If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion I would pass. I was expecting a steakhouse look with low lighting and good ambiance and it has neither. Looks more like any other casual restaurant. The tables are so close together we might as well have been having dinner with the table next to us. I have been to some really nice steakhouses that were much nicer and didn't cost $300+. read more

Was definitely not the WOW factor we were expecting. We arrived 30 minutes early hoping to get a seat. We were directed to stand to the side with the impression we were going to get seated shortly. We weren't offered bar seating while we waited, so we asked how long the wait was...25 min. So we asked if we could sit at the bar, after about 10 min. We noticed quite a delay in getting us drinks, bar was understaffed. The two bartenders were super nice and all smiles but were hurting trying to take care of all the folks seated at the bar. The burger was no way a WOW. The meat was good but that's is about it. The birthday cake touch was appreciated and great. Wedge salad $8 was great right priced and crab cake was very very good, best we have ever had, however $28 for one crab cake seems excessive. I had the butter chicken and my wife had the crispy salmon. I thought the Butter Chicken was excellent and a decent portion for $32. Wife was not really that impressed by the Salmon. It was $42 and was A little costly for much smaller portion. Flavor was okay, but not anything truly exceptional. She said she would not order that again. For dessert we shared the Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake which was good, again for $14 seemed very small and underwhelming. We would rate our experience out of 10, maybe 6.5-7. If the prices would have been much more reasonable for what you actually got, the rating would be higher. $175 for two people including tip with no drinks is a lot. read more

I expected so much more. We waited 20 min just to get seated(with reservations). our wait for our food was over an hour and 20 min. The waitress was sweet and busy. She took our order, then the food lagged. The manager easily blamed it on our server, even though the order goes in at the same time. They ended up giving us a 20% discount and a couple desserts but that didn't make up for ruining my nieces birthday. I would have walked out if my niece wasn't super excited for her Beef Wellington. My wife and I had the opportunity to eat at Ramsay's Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay in OKC yesterday. The atmosphere was fantastic, it was packed but not loud at all. The decor is gorgeous and each section is slightly different. Waiter was Carlos, very personable and we really enjoyed interacting with him. He definitely enjoys his job. Chef Christina Wilson was there as well, unfortunately she was in a meeting while we were there and we didn't get to meet her, we were going to wait but we had a concert back in Tulsa to get ready for. First course was the crab cake, coming from someone who has never liked crab, it was incredible. The crab cake sat on a herb aioli sauce and saw out of this world. I had a whiskey sour which was one of the best ones I've had, wife had a Behind Blue Eyes which she was not a fan of. Second course was a NY strip for me with roasted asparagus with a truffle aioli, aioli butter and parmesan. Steak was delicious, I am not one to use sauce with a properly cooked steak but the béarnaise really elevated the steak. Wife had the Chicken Milinese which sat on a Dijon cream sauce, her side was baked Mac and cheese. Again, I'm not a sauce guy but the cream sauce really elevated the chicken. I also don't really like Mac and cheese but this stuff was great. Dessert we went with 3. I had the vanilla marscarpone cheesecake which sat on a lemon curd, topped with blueberries and candied thyme. I thought the thyme was weird but it worked really well. One of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. Wife had the chocolate tart which was chocolate ganache, salted caramel, chocolate sauce, white chocolate whipped cream. It was really good, you guessed it, I'm not a huge chocolate fan lol. But this was definitely worth trying. We shared the famous sticky toffee pudding. This was a warm date cake, sweet cream ice cream and English toffee sauce. It was very rich and I can see why it's a signature of his. Amazing. We will definitely be back. Ticket on the lunch including my bottle of San Pellegrino and her cappuccino with dessert and tip was $260 Looking forward to future dining experiences there. Came in tonight to sit at the bar and we were sat at the low top at the bar (due to no reservation and a busy night). Jim met us with a drink menu and was so friendly and helpful. Hubs and I shared a chicken dish and the crab cake and wedge salad. Also ordered the cheesecake. All absolutely delicious. And if you need a good drink- Jim can take care of you. Ramsay's Kitchen's Shrimp Scampi was excellent with the best butter sauce in which I have ever dipped crusty bread. My Steak Frites was scrumptious and I tried a bite of my Better-half's fish and chips and his chocolate tart; both were prepared perfectly. My Sticky Toffee Pudding was very tasty, but a tad dry even with their lovely sauce. I make a Warm Sticky Figgy Pudding which is very similar and not dry so I was surprised theirs was. Their decor, albeit not my very favorite style, and ambiance were both comfortable and pleasant and we enjoyed your background music. Our waitress was lovely, attentive to our needs, and charming.
