First time here and I have to say it was fantastic! We came with a group of 40 after grandsons baseball game and the staff was the best , so attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was happy and upbeat and plenty of room for a large group. My frozen strawberry margarita was a perfect start to a delicious dinner, I had the shrimp chimichanga and it was a scrumptious choice, loaded with plenty of shrimp, onions, peppers mushrooms and tomatoes in a tasty sauce ( not your typical ordinary cream sauce) with rice and beans. Husband had the avocado quesadilla with guacamole salad and loved it.

Being new to the area we are still trying to find our Go-To Mexican restaurant. While Rancho Grande isn't bad, it isn't it. We were immediately seated, which was nice. However, the menus included splotches of left over salsa, lots of them, which stunted my appetite. If the menu looks like that, what does the kitchen look like? There were not many people dining however it was loud. One table was a bit rambunctious but the restaurant must have poor acoustics. Now the reason for three stars and not two is the server was prompt and the food was pretty good...not great. I had the enchilada suiza meal and it was tasty, however, it was three enchiladas with No rice and beans. I like rice and beans when enjoying Mexican food. I think my attitude on the place would be better if the menus had been clean...or at least not filthy. That set the tone for the meal.

Great spot for good food and good margaritas. On Tuesday's they have a band that plays around the restaurant. I have tried many dishes and I like them all. The grilled vegetables are a must add to each meal.

Excellent service and excellent food. Everything arrived to the table quickly and very warm. Server was quick and came to check on us often. Did not have to wait for a table. Perfect meal. Will definitely return in the future and recommend.

Loved having the monster nachos, it might be the best set of nachos I've ever had. Definitely coming back here when I'm back in town.

Pretty decent tex mex. The enchiladas were ok. Nothing to write home about though. The salsa was delicious though. The tex margarita was ok as well. Jose cuervo gold and something with carbonation. I'm not rushing to come back because the food is 1 step up from taco bell but it was cool in a pinch.

Blame Kiki, strong and sweet! Just like I like my men! :)

The Blame Kiki drink was very good! It was sweet and strong. If you have a sweet tooth you will definitely like this drink. Service tonight was okay, but understood because it was a busy Saturday night. The food was just okay, not as good as it has been in the past.

Visible line of feces. They said they do not devein the shrimp. Disgusting.

Should have trusted the reviews. I was told they do not devein the shrimp after I ordered shrimp tacos and their was a visible line of shit. When I complained the waiter said that's how they come

Basic, boring Mexican food with very little flavor on much of anything. Cheese dip is a tad watery and the service is not the best.

I was at the bar with my husband and my parents, and I'd had one and a half drinks over the course of the evening, nowhere near intoxicated. We were talking and laughing at a normal volume. At one point the tables around us were so loud I asked the bartender to speak up because I couldn't hear her explaining one of the drink specials. She was gracious about it, moved closer, and said, "I'm sorry, it's ladies night." If anything, that showed how loud the room already was before I said a word. Even my parents, who are the first to tell me if I'm being too loud or out of line, agreed afterward that I hadn't acted out in any way. The owner, Donna Watford, came over and told me to quiet down. I should mention, this isn't unfamiliar territory for me. I've worked in Michelin starred restaurants and I know what's expected of a guest and what isn't. What struck me was the tone and framing of how I was singled out. I wasn't being disruptive or unruly. It felt distinctly like I was being policed for being visibly and audibly gay rather than for actually being too loud. Other tables around us were just as animated and weren't approached. When I told Donna she shouldn't speak to a customer that way, she said, "I can because it's my restaurant." That response told me everything I needed to know. This isn't a business that sees hospitality as a two way street, or values the people paying to be there. I'd think twice before going back, and I'd want other guests, especially LGBTQ+ folks and anyone visiting with family, to know what kind of experience to expect here.

There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

But I was super impressed with the quality of the food! I expected a dive. And it is. But the food was fabulous!! Also, our waitress was excellent. Kudos to her. The inside is fun. Definite dive bar energy. We went all in. Appetizers, drinks, entrees. I regret nothing. We started with the queso appetizer and the pub pretzels. Both were very tasty. My one and only critique is that I wished the queso appetizer included some veggies like celery or carrots or something other than just chips. My son ordered the smash burger. Husband got the shepherds pie. I got the buffalo sliders. I like my buffalo chicken to be saucy. So I requested extra sauce. The kitchen seemed to misunderstand and instead of extra saucy, they put my sauce on the side and none on the chicken. Our waitress offered to send it back. That was not necessary. So she brought me lots of extra sauce. Incredible. The sauce was excellent. The chicken was excellent!!! Superb quality. Honestly, quite possibly the highest quality piece of chicken I've had on a chicken sandwich. Tender, moist, flavorful, and a large piece of meat. Very very impressed. I got the onion rings, at the suggestion of our waitress. They were fantastic. Washed it all down with a Yuengling. Truly, I can't say enough about this place. I was highly impressed. Most of the other customers appeared to be regulars who were seated at the bar. There were only a few groups seated at traditional tables. It was a Tuesday evening so I'm sure it's much busier on a Friday or Saturday. Oh - and just as we were leaving, they were setting up for karaoke. Apparently Tuesdays are karaoke night. Oh! And! The check was $77. That's with three beers, a Coke, two appetizers, three entrees! Not bad. Not bad at all!!

I asked the waitress and she said "oh yea it does say black beans, there are a lot of mistakes on the menu, so sorry about that." Now she was very polite and I feel like if I had made a big deal about it, she would have taken it back. My issue is WHY is that not updated on the menu!?!?! What if I had an allergy!?!?
