The food was good but a little to pricey for mexican food. I ordered enchiladas de camaron, i ddnt think they would taste this good but i tried it because i always get normal enchiladas and they were actually pretty good. Never have i seen this dish anywhere else. The wait however was about 30 min before we got our food... actually a little longer because i started counting after we got our drinks which also took some time, and thats that not to many people were in the restaurant. I did see someone leave because its ridiculous to wait that long for a few customers, and i also seen someone that just came in get there food before us. If the food wasnt good i would rate this restaurant a 1 star and not just because of the other issues but i saw why they are so slow. Their were about 3 women to tend to the guests but only one was a hard worker and doing everything even being the cashier. The others were just talking in the back not caring and she was even trying to get their attention to get to work but they continued to talk and worked whenever they felt like it. El Rancho used to be a goodwill store back in the day - it's kinda wierd eating where I used to try on second-hand shirts - but I can't knock em, it's not bad food. I tried the asado de puerco on my first visit, and haven't tried anything else, Ilike it so much. I was irked the first time I went, because I waited for 15 minutes plus for the food, but when it got tome, I realized it was made fresh. tender pork, vibrant sauce, the normal beans and rice rounds it out. They make their jugos fresh as well, and the horchata is really good. Another plus, they are open until 2am - no more IHOP for this kitty!! read more

Ranchos food is very good. The lunch specials have plenty of food, great tastes and go for only 7.50. The hot sauce is chunky and the chips very tasty. My only concern with the restaurant is the service. you need to allow an hour for lunch because they move at a snails pace. tea and water glasses are not refilled unless specifically requested. the hot sauce will run dry and no replacement unless you ask. I cannot deal with the horrible service anymore, the food isn't worth it at this point. Last time i came with my aunt and my mom, me and my mom had already paid while my aunt went to the restroom. We tried this place for the first time tonight and loved it. I had the beef chimichanga which is one of their Monday specials. It was served with guacamole which was very good and sour cream as well as rice and beans. My son had another one of the Monday specials which was steak and an enchilada which was also delicious. Went here for first time looking to replace our much loved weekly outings to Danal's. This place is delicious. Full bar, sports bar theme mixed with Tex-Mex theme. This is my number 1 go-to restaurant! My husband and I are regulars here. They recognize us every time we come in. The chips and salsa are the BEST and their food is always fresh and amazing. The food here is great but I completely dislike poor service. I went today and no one greeted us, we sat down and no one came to give us a menu. I went to the register to ask about how long the wait was before we got menus and the woman was sitting behind the register on her phone. She asked a lady named Andrea if she had not helped us and she simply said no and walked away. So we left, we went about a week ago as well and they were a bit busy that day so we didn't complain but our waitress was in the back talking to all the other waitress instead of checking on her table. I went there last thursday night after a long day of work! It was my first time! I sat at the bar and the first thing that I loved was the cool and chill atmosphere! I was greeted with a warm welcome from one of the managers there EK! Great guy! I started off with the soup and it was delicious! Gave me a lot of energy for some reason.. I am definitely coming back to see what the exact ingredients were in there! Also, the calmness in the restaurant was always there! The service was on point and to end it well. Where do I start ! When we walked in we were the only patrons at all. No one spoke to us simply just stared at us until I finally asked for a table. We had to leave the restaurant and walk all the way around to the other side just to get to the patio even though there was a door they could have unlocked but didn't want to come over to it. A good local Mexican Food restaurant that's hard to beat. Lot's of authentic Mexican food, thirst quenching aguas frescas (fresh fruit juice drinks) and my favorite is the Lemonade version, best lemonade anywhere! And if you want beer, wine or cocktails you can bring your own which is great! They stay open late which is a real plus for a night owl like myself. Best Chicharron (pork meat) in the U.S.A. Although the food is wonderful, the young male "manager" that works behind the bar has a chip on his shoulder. Not only was he rude and completely unprofessional, but arguing with a customer is probably bad business. I USED to visit this place multiple times per week but they will never see my business again. It's sad that one single employee can be so bad at his job and treat people with such little respect, but his actions alone have done it. I went to this restaurant at noon with five other ladies. The waitress got 5 out of 6 drink orders wrong. On to the food, she got 5 out of 6 food orders wrong. Three of the ladies I was with speak fluent Spanish so it wasn't the language barrier. We all just ate and drank what she brought us because we were hungry.
