Pretty cute Irish pub in midtown near Grand Central Station, so very easy to get to. They have both bar seating and tables in the back. There's also an upper level. Drinks were reasonably priced and service was pretty fast, but depends on how crowded it gets inside.

Did a little research, and the name Rosie Dunn's popped up as a great Irish pub to visit, whilst I was in NYC on business. I had a good scotch, a pint, and the curry fries. I love this place...though I'm not Irish, I felt quite at home. The bartender was excellent, and very polite. The place is clean, the music not too loud, and the temperature just right. I'll be back!

This is a nice neighborhood spot that seems to get pretty crowded after work. They have a weekday happy hour from 5-7 for $5 on bud light and Shocktop, $10 wines and other stuff. We came in on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. Kind of charming actually because of the Victorian decor. They had the NFL football game on but it definitely was not the sports bar crowd at the time. Food isn't bad. Buffalo cauliflower had too much breading on it and tasted more like a hush puppy than the cauliflower, which was what we craved. I liked their special of the day, the penne alla vodka with fried chicken. Real good vodka sauce. I'll need to come back to try their classic dishes next time.

Great place for happy hour and nibbles after work in midtown East, close-ish to grand central. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, will really put you in the spirit! Amazing hummus and swift service!

Came here to watch the World Cup final with some friends, and we got some different dishes to share as our brunch. Prices for the serving portions were a little bit high in my opinion, but I don't go to a lot of pubs in this area so it could be normal. The servers were extremely kind though and because they were out of coffee they let us bring in Dunkin' from across the street which was very nice. Seems like it could be fun for after work drinks or other sports games!

Order: - Shoestring Zucchini Fries (5/5) - Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich (4/5) - Home-Made Chocolate Brownie Served with Freshly Whipped Cream (4/5) Pros: - Great tasting food - Large menu with a lot of traditional Irish pub options to choose from - Amazing service ~ my coworkers and I know the waitress and she's super nice and fun to be around - Nice aesthetics of the restaurants ~ almost feels like I'm in someone's Irish grandma's living room haha Cons: - Downstairs seating area is a little tight especially with the dividers Overall: Great tasting Irish pub food with even better service. Will be back

This place was a great find! We had finished up dinner and were looking for a night cap and stumbled upon this place playing some live music. The music was pretty loud for a small place but the crowd (and us) were loving it. Bartender was nice and pretty attentive and there was a good vibe. If you're a whiskey fan they have them all! Guiness was delicious, I Would recommend!

The "Perfect" Pint is apparently a far cry from reality…read more Our server, Ruffino, seemed perfectly cordial at first, but that changed rather quickly when we discovered a 20% automatic gratuity added to our bill without any prior notice. We didn't find out about this little surprise until the check was placed on our table. Nothing like discovering an extra charge at the end of your meal that apparently everyone was supposed to know about except the customers. We went downstairs to the host stand and asked to speak with a manager. We were informed that there was no manager on duty--apparently, just a staff of bartenders. When we questioned the automatic gratuity, we were told that all orders over $100 automatically receive a 20% gratuity. There was just one small problem: we had never been informed of this policy, nor did we see it posted anywhere. We politely asked for the charge to be removed since it had not been disclosed to us. We were told there was "nothing that could be done." Naturally, we then went back to Ruffino and asked to speak with his boss. We were promptly brought the exact same person we had already spoken with downstairs--who then proceeded to tell Ruffino to remove the gratuity. So apparently, there was something that could be done. Good to know. Unfortunately, the situation then went from questionable customer service to outright disrespect. During the interaction, our experience working in the food service industry was insulted, and we were told, and I quote: "I feel bad for whatever establishment you worked for because I know it was S**T. Get the F**K out and never return." Classy. For the record, there were only four people in our party. The establishment's own gratuity guidelines state that a 20% automatic gratuity applies to parties of six or more, not four. So let's recap: * A 20% gratuity was added without being disclosed. * We were told it applied because our order exceeded $100. * We were unable to find this policy posted anywhere. * We were initially told nothing could be done about the charge. * Someone subsequently instructed Ruffino to remove it, proving that something could, in fact, be done. * And when we questioned the situation, we were insulted and told to leave and never come back. Honestly, the last part was the easiest request to accommodate. If "Perfect" is supposed to describe the customer experience here, I'd hate to see what happens at an establishment that's merely average. As for the request to "never return"--don't worry. We won't. Some establishments manage to make that decision remarkably easy for you.

Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.

I stumbled across this Irish Pub with a Rooftop view of the street by chance looking for a coffee…read moreshop. The rooftop view appealed to me much more than hanging out in a coffee shop. Since my favorite beer is Guinness. Figured it was time to get it while waiting for a friend at the theater nearby. I was glad that the waitress at the bar downstairs was really friendly and gave me directions to take the elevator up to the rooftop. I didn't realize this pub was shared with another pub next door. The elevators was located in between the 2 pubs. While getting to the elevator, it seems there was an attendant that brought guests up on the cozy little elevator. Though, there were no attendants later in the day. The waitress mentioned I could bring my glass up with me to the roof. So I did. I even had to flail my arms just to get the tab and I can tell that it's their routine to ignore a certain demographic. I was only here because my friend had to meet up with my work colleagues so I thought I would grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a quick burger before heading out for birthday festivities. The burger and fries were good and the rooftop is nice. I have no desire to return but it's probably what they want.
