Horrible dining experience at overly priced "Bistro". There was a Filipino themed portion of the menu. The Pancit was extremely bland and came with fat soggy noodles. The wings ordered not only came late as an appetizer but were like jerky and basically tossed on our table with no ranch, blue cheese, carrots or celery. So taste and presentation were laughable. The soup of the day (NE Clam Chowder) was supposed to come with garlic bread and did not. The Adobo combo plates were okay but $47 for two plates, should be BOMB right ? The server, Gerardo came off as very arrogant and gave us the "You're lucky to be here." Kinda attitude and he acted offended when we sent the Pancit back. Never will I step foot in this place again, no thanks ! read more

This place was ok. The water was tap so it tasted funny, coffee was nice and strong. I just ordered a few things as sides since I wanted a light breakfast: scrambled eggs were nice and light. The biscuit had a weird flavor, I guess I'm used to buttermilk and these were something different. The gravy was very light on sausage so a bit disappointing. The fruit must have been cut with the same knife or cutting board as onions because the whole thing tasted like onions (fruit wasn't sweet either). The service was decent considering there was only our party and one other. The environment left something to be desired- I was expecting a nice breakfast place so it was a little strange to see the server prepping food in the serving area and cans of beer on the tables/the liquor and wine selection out on full display right next to a table. Since half the menu is comprised of breakfast, it would have been nice if they had other water options (bottled or sparkling) or other coffee options (lattes, cappuccino). read more

Went here for lunch on Friday. Typically breakfast is served til 12:30 and then it's lunch however, we were able to order from either menu... got there at noon. Our party ordered French toast, the garden omelette and fish tacos. The French toast was golden, thick and delicately sprinkled with powdered sugar with butter and ample syrup on the side. Perfectly cooked and not too sweet. The omelette was generous with a deliciously cooked side of country potatoes. Omelette had plenty of lucious veggies however the potatoes were the star. Not all potatoes are done as deliciously as these. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Not greasy just yummy. The fish tacos arrived plumply filled with grilled white fish, slaw and picked onion. Doubled up warm tortillas enveloped the filling. Delicious and filling. Disappointing that there were few patrons in the restaurant while we were there. Perhaps word is slow to spread about this place where fresh ingredients and friendly service abound. Haven't been?? This place use to be good, they sold and the new people didn't last. So the original guy is back, however it is nowhere near the same as it was. Lack luster service and poor food quality. We try to never support chains, or the chain franchises, only the ma and pa outfits. read more

4 of us went to brunch on a Sunday late morning before we headed back to our hometowns. Overall, none of us were impressed by our experience. Food was subpar. Country potatoes had very little flavor and were very greasy. Omelettes were okay. Eggs Benedict was alright. I can't remember the last plate we ordered. Our server was nice, but she didn't really engage or check in very often.. once, MAYBE twice? Servers were eating where customers could see instead of out of sight, not like on break but during actual shift, and they were helping us pay at the end while still chewing. read more

It was so good, the brioche bun, the avocado, and the dressings made it outstanding, I had it with fries that were very crispy, perfect. My family and I came to Denis' Country Kitchen for Mother's Day brunch. We were greeted at the door by Randy and his wonderful staff. They sat us down right away, and offered us any drinks, the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice were so good! The food was SOOO DELICIOUS!!! The mini-waffles were cook to perfection, as well as the eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage. We loved fresh fruit and pastries, they were the perfect desert after a savory meal. We absolutely loved this place and we cannot wait to come back for lunch and for dinner once they extend their hours. We loved the atmosphere, the new ownerships and its new staff. We will be back!!! It was our second visit today under new chef/owner Randy. I had a delicious gumbo entree...a very generous serving with shrimp, sausage and just the right amount of heat. My wife was very happy with her order of California Benedicts and country potatoes. Our onion ring appetizer was flaky and piping hot. In each case, these are among our favorite examples of these dishes that we've ever tried. On our last visit the omelettes were tasty and did not disappoint. Chef Randy brings a lot of surprises and variety to his menus such as on his international theme nights (Filipino, German, and more), which we're planning to check out. This restaurant is a real asset to the local dining scene...hoping that more people will discover and patronize it. read more

Best restaurant in Lodi by popular vote and you will understand why when you have the experience. A few blocks off of Hwy 99, this is one of those places that you would not see advertised or commonly talked about by other than those that live close to or in Lodi or from people who know. The menu is a work of art. Seemingly regular stuff, like omelets and other egg dishes, but with more to it than meets the eye. Steak and eggs, pork chops and eggs, Gyro omelets and Joe's Special: eggs with ground beef, mushrooms, garlic and spinach...like Original Joe's. Greek omelet, south of the border omelet, a Greek potato omelet and a crab omelet. The Greek word gives you a clue as to just who Denis is and why the food is so good. Bacon, Feta & Avocado Omelet, Ham or Sausage or Linguica or German Sausage Omelet, Ortega Chili Pepper Omelet and bacon and avacado omelet (my favorite). Coffee keeps coming and breakfast is served all day. And to me, the treat is to have REAL hashbrowns, rather than potato chunks labeled as hash browns. And they do them right. Lots of egg benedicts...of which I am not a fan, but realize that many are. Now you know why it was voted best breakfast? Lunch has the burgers and also chicken pesto sandwich, gyros, French dip and a Tijuana Sandwich which is rib of beef on grilled sourdough bread with fresh avocado, Ortega chili peppers, jack cheese and sprinkled with crushed red pepper. Holy moly! There are salads, which include a Greek salad (!). Service is attentive and regular. Prices reasonable. Parking is street and a side alley. Not a large place, so come early or late outside of prime eating hours. They even post a sign stating that you only get an hour at a table. Never seen it enforced, but too chicken to dare do it. You will not regret having a meal, or many meals, here. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Made a reservation for 5, got crammed into a seating which would barely seat even 4 comfortably. We were slammed in between 2 other tables. So UNCOMFORTABLE!! Waited FOREVER for our food. This was Father's Day 2023. SUPER EXPENSIVE!!! I ordered the Senior Scramble which was $1 less than the regular Scramble (same ingredients), but more than 1/2 the size smaller than the original. Really?? We told server we were splitting the Senior Scramble, they should have advised against it, letting us know that it really isn't even enough food for 1 person, if they are hungry. Food was good but not worth it. Server NEVER checked on us, or communicated with us about anything to set any expectations at all. NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN!! read more
