Called and spoke with Randy pertaining to a type of grinding noise when applying brakes with pressure, especially after first starting to drive. Went with him on an extensive test drive to replicate the noise which we were able to do. Upon thorough inspection back at the shop, it was determined the brakes were in great condition and not in need of any repair. The noise was common (which disappeared after the car was driven for awhile) if the brakes were not yet "heated" when driving, as the car is 19 years old with only 98K miles. Really disappointed in the workmanship at this shop that left us stranded on the side of the road during a food delivery in the middle the night. But I now have no recourse, so beware... Yes, just a few hours after we left this highly rated shop where we paid $830 for two new front calipers, four new rotors and sets of brake pads, we had no car. Was it a bit pricey for less than an hour of work, compared to other mechanics? Yes; but he promised the work would be done by professionals and we could back to delivering (our only source of income) that same night. So the work the assured us was -critical- was put on a credit card and we set off to try make it back ASAP. Two deliveries (about an hour of driving) later, I'm on foot delivering food. At least the improperly tightened bolt didn't come loose on the interstate where we would've gotten plowed into by any car going the mere speed limit, right? Luckily I had a tow left with my roadside service, and had no choice but to use it even though the whole point of us getting our squeaky breaks checked out (and initially quoted $180 to repair, including machining the rotors) was so we could drive up to NC next week. So now if we have an actual accident, I have to look forward to forking out $125 out of pocket for even a small tow. That's best case scenario, since we will have our furry family members with us who can't ride in a tow truck, and assuming we survive some brake failure on the interstate. Awesome. When we called him from the scene of the breakdown we agreed to have it towed to his shop, no offer of towing or repair was offered by him at all. We walk home from the shop, bc cc is maxed out now and we have no way of making money all night or the next morning until we can get back to the shop. When I asked for a -partial- refund, based on the fact that their *admitted* error (didn't properly tighten a bolt on the rear passenger rotor) kept us off the road and out of work for two shifts, as well as a tow I won't be able to use later, Randy, the owner of the shop, offered me $50 cash for the inconvenience because that's how much he would have had to pay for the tow (which remember, he didn't even offer when we were in the middle of the road and he took our call) even though I obviously won't get such a discounted rate as a regular non-car-shop-owning consumer. This felt like an insult I could neither stomach nor accept for an $830 brake job gone bad. Not sure about you but this isn't quite what I expected from a shop bragging about "guaranteeing" their overpriced work. Don't fall for the fake sympathy, they're unfortunately like every other mechanic: dishonest and out for your money. TL; dr - will push extra services, inflate costs of parts, and still leave you dangerously stranded on the side of the road over a brake replacement. read more

They are professional, fast and reasonably priced. They put the car on a lift, showed us exactly what we needed, called around for parts and prices and gave us an estimate. The parts were delivered and they went to work. Randy even dropped us and our dog at a local eatery for breakfast and coffee! Picked us up, we paid the bill (no surprises) and were on our way. Do NOT go to Randy! He is rude, nasty, and has so scruples. If he makes a mistake or if the car has loud noises only AFTER his work, he refuses to put it on a lift and find out the problem and instead tells you to leave the property. (This was just an hr after the work was done or less.) I've been there enough times now to know. He told me I didn't need rotors and did brake pads. I left with horrible loud noises in the brakes that were not there when I came in. Found out the next day that I did indeed need rotors on both sides; one was warped and one had scoring in it and in the 48 hrs since the new pads had been put on, there was already some wear on one of the new ones from the bad rotor, but he insists he did nothing wrong and has acted unethical, extremely rude and irresponsible as could be. He said he wouldn't check it out to find out why "because he didn't WANT to" and that was that! read more

Our family was visiting Florida via an RV and we came across some problems with our tow vehicle's brakes. After going into Sear's auto repair, Sear's quoted us 1050.00 to fix the brakes!!!! I was in town for the weekend from Atlanta, when my GF's car decided to need a brake job. We had just purchased the used vehicle about a month ago, and they obviously didn't check the brakes on their inspection.
