2/21/26 Chocolate (Buttermilk?) it's like Long John but round

2/21/26 Been meaning to try any Randy's location (Inglewood preferably but we're in Torrance) So here we are. It's a smaller location without the big ole, giant donut as its iconic marketing sign. Service is friendly & helpful. I definitely went in to try the chocolate bar (Long John) but luck was not on my side today. He said that if I wanted the long John for sure, I should've gone to the Inglewood location. No matter, I was just gonna get the raised round version of the Long John. There are plenty of options, but since this location is small, it also has a limited variety of donuts. This location also serves sandwiches and some beverages. Today I got that round race chocolate donut, and the Matcha donut that caught my eye. There is outdoor seating, shaded. Parking lot is shared among nearby businesses, free. I had expected it to be much better than the one that I tasted from Donuttery (Huntington Beach) but it was tasty, nonetheless. The dough was a tad chewy but not as chewy and soft as Donuttery's, which I prefer. The Matcha donut was pretty good. I had expected it to have some earthiness, not too sweet (the reason I opted to get it), but it was quite good. Overall, a good experience.

Tried their raspberry donut in the late afternoon when they were sold out on many other selections. It still tasted very good; soft & a bit chewy. Really enjoyed having it out in their outdoor seating area with an order of iced coffee.

What a selection of donuts. Lots of choices. Everyone comes in with a smile and the staff are super helpful in helping you pick your favorite donut. I selected the delicious and pretty match tea glazed donut. Also had a glazed old fashioned donut which was fresh and wonderful. I topped it off with an oat milk mango tea drink. Lots of outside seating which made it very enjoyable while eating my donut. Parking is easy too in a private lot.

Decided to bring Halloween donuts to my son's soccer practice to celebrate his upcoming birthday. You can see in my pic the two types of donuts I got. I personally had one of each, and they were awesome. Perfect taste and texture. Not in the picture, I also got myself a sausage breakfast burrito and an apple fritter. Also great. And server was very helpful and friendly.

Slightly undercooked but not raw like previously.

Looks like I didn't update as previously planned. This location also had a raw dough problem so I didn't return. A few years pass, they're still not closed down, I'll give it another shot. This time they're not what I would call raw inedible. They're a little underdone and doughy. Considering they're a bit expensive, quality hit or miss, I'm not gonna go out of my way to make a special trip to go here. There's many other places that are just as good with better consistency.

I got the bacon croissant sandwich and a plain cake. Although the sandwich looked like it was smashed, it was quite good. If they could add mayo it would be even better. The plain cake was soft and not too sweet, which is to my liking. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Easy to find and easy to park!

Clean and neat donut shop with glass cases full of yumminess! Terrific, friendly service, too, as we changed our minds ten times on our choices--so hard to decide. Loved every bite!

Really good donuts!! We ordered them online and came in to pick them up, and the process was very smooth. I appreciated the variety of donuts they provide, I've gotten very picky with what donuts I eat so it was good to have lots of options. I wish the city would let them have the giant donut outside but alas.

    Delicious vanilla latte

We stopped by to get donuts and coffee and our cashier was so friendly and helpful. The name on the receipt said "Jaiden" and we just want to thank them for the great experience today!

Despite having lived in LA for most of my life, this was my first time at a Randy's store. The last time I had the donuts, it was catered by work, so I had never set foot into a store. Figured it's about time I tried it, I stopped by around lunch to grab some quick donuts. By this time, they were about half way sold out. But they did have a rack of fresh glazed. I went ahead and ordered glazed and maple. Whenever I visit a new donut place, I order these two flavors to compare. The donuts are doughy and fresh, definitely made on a daily basis. Service was also great. The gentleman that served me gave off good vibes (friendly, eye contact, etc.). I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. I also recommend this store to others within the local area!

This is the second time I've gotten a cold, obviously day old croissant from this location. I ordered online and someone else picked it up for me so no way to know before hand. Poor choice for such and established company!

Love Randy's! It's dangerous that this is next to my dentist.. I have on occasion ended up getting a donut right after my morning dentist appointment..

What I Ordered: Blueberry Iced Cake: ($2.40) Apple Fritter ($2.90) Food: Randy's donuts is a famous donut shop in California that has been featured in movies such as Iron Man. The Apple Fritter was AMAZING! Each bite was filled with crispy dough pieces with small apple pieces that created the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The Blueberry Iced Cake was a soft and doughy, it was almost like a cake (hence the name). The donut has not only blueberry icing on top but also blueberries inside the donut itself as well. I loved that they did not go easy on the blueberry for this donut! Service: Staff was quick and friendly! Ambiance: No seating indoors, but there are a couple of tables outside. Parking is easy since there is a huge parking lot for the whole plaza.

During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

Fresh, they eat more like a pastry--super moist, rich without being heavy, and none of that dry crumble. Chocolate (Valrhona) is the one--deep, smooth, perfectly tender. I've noticed some people complaining about the credit card processing fee, but personally, I think supporting small businesses means understanding the realities of running one. Places like this aren't giant chains with massive corporate margins, they're LOCAL spots that have been serving the community for years and doing it well. If a small processing fee helps them continue making great food, and staying afloat in an increasingly expensive market, that feels like a fair trade-off to me. I'd much rather support a family-run shop like this than see places with real character disappear. If you don't like the fee, you can simply pay with cash next time.

If you do buy the donuts, just make sure you eat it while it's relatively fresh, because they aren't good when they go stale. The food court at Mitsuwa market is very underrated and I think this is a great contributor to the outstanding, hidden food court of Japanese foods at the Del Amo mall.
