Work orders the pizza from here often and it is pretty decent food but I must say the difference between the RTP location and the Durham location is quite stark. Very friendly staff at the RTP location and faster, fresher delivery. If you call the Durham store, they will not honor any of the website prices (as mentioned by another reviewer) and say "Oh, that has not been updated" (same response they were giving in the review over a year ago..). "Take it or leave it". So prices are $7 or so higher at the Durham location for the exact same food, the people working there are very rude and the delivery times are 30min longer. Ordered online for delivery and never received confirmation email. Waited 20 minutes then called and said they don't have a online ordering option. I then asked to place an order to be delivered. Waited an 1h30m and never received delivery. Called and asked what was going, said the driver went out and returned to store. Talk about tasting like the city-- New York city, no other place on earth like it! This pizza place always makes me feel like I've been beamed up to the NYC-- if only for a little while. The vibe and some of the staff are based out of New York, so for a moment you're there. The pizza is delicious and hot. If I ask one of the staff at the counter for "a slice", he knows exactly what that means. "A slice" is a plain slice of cheese pizza, where as when I've gone to another wanna be pizza joint and ask the same thing, they've said "a slice of what?". Then I'm like arrrgghhh! (to myself)-- "a slice of cheese pizza please". I love their subs also-- like the eggplant parmesan or the italian sub with a little oil and vinegar along with all the other condiments; actually try one in a combo with chips and a drink or add fries for .75 cents. I have enjoyed greasy Randy's pizza for a long time. However, this has generally not been a very good delivery pizza. For example, the last few times, the pizza base has been almost raw, the toppings are almost slid off the edge by the time they get here, and the pie is lukewarm at best. This time, we asked for the pizza to be 'well done'. OK, the pizza was fine when it got here. However, the delivery person conveniently didn't have change smaller than $10. Anyone who knows me know that I love pizza. It was time for Randy's to join the rotation last Sunday. It was as expected and maybe even a little better. Nice, thin, floppy NY style slices and delicious toppings. Guy at the register was friendly and the pizza came out of the oven just when he said it would. I love the pizza they make. It's so good and really big. I also like that they have a coupon on their boxes that you can use and if you get a combo and pick up they have a loyalty card that they punch for you. When dining there the staff is very friendly. The delivery is super slow and we have had issues with the drivers going to the wrong address and items missing from our orders. It has gotten so bad that my husband mo longer wants to order from them but I love their pizza so I have him pick up instead and it elmintaes our issues. read more

Ok, I just yanked a star. That's twice I've been in between 1 and 2 pm on a weekday, paid, THEN told it'll be 10 minutes because we're out of pizza. You're a pizza shop...how do you run out of pizza?? I'm from Northern NJ and you never see that happen...ever. Plus this time the to go box I was handed contained one big slice, not even cut into two, and not even a big slice either. For the first time I genuinely feel a bit ripped off. Terrible service! I used the app to order at 6:41 with an estimated delivery of 7:41. No problem. Get a call from the driver. He thought we were downtown. Nope we're just about a mile away. Called the store and our option was a new pizza but we have to return the first or $5 off our next order. Bad policy. You've lost a customer over it. Randy's is the best pizza I have found in the triangle. That classic NY style. It's a good value on a big pizza. The Hope Valley Road location seems to put out a better softer crusted pizza so I always go there but it's still Randy's. read more

Menu prices are higher than other Randy's. ordered delivery, was told side salad was large enough for meal for one, was not true, tiny little salad and charged double for meat added. Called to complain and manager was very rude. He told me that is what the prices are and the menu on line is outdated. False advertising to me. They also added 10%to bill because large order and was not told. I asked for discount and refused, told me we enjoyed the food, so could not do anything,,enjoy, that was questionable. Let me start by saying that I have gotten great pizza from Randy's. I have also gotten ok pizza and crappy pizza. I have only ordered delivery and have gotten great wings, french fries, gyros and subs. The past 2 nights I decided to put Randy's to the test since Tuesdays and Wednesdays are usually slower nights. I ordered a gyro, fries and another item two nights in a row. Tuesday night the food got here in just under the estimated 45 minutes and was fresh, fries crispy and gyro was great. Wednesday night the delivery was here in just over an hour (quoted 45 min), fries were soggy and cold and the other item was wings which were tepid and soggy. Until Randy's gets some quality control in place they will never be my go to delivery restaurant. read more

This place is the best. They came out in horrible weather and delivered really good food. I got the eggplant parm. and my friend got the calzone. They were great and hugh portions. We also got the New York Cheesecake and it is the best cheesecake I have had in this area. I have been a Randy's customer for many years. I used to drive an hour and a half just for one of their mouth watering authentic NY style pizzas. Now I live less than a half hour away, and enjoy it much more frequently! The food is AMAZING and portions are very large. The prices are VERY reasonable. They have something for everyone on their menu! Our family always gets the 18" specialty pizza with 1/2 dozen free garlic knots. We eat in, then enjoy leftover slices at home later. The staff is always pleasant, friendly, and very accommodating. The guys even play "peek a boo" with my toddler from behind the glass while making pizzas. We LOVE Randy's and will forever be loyal customers! read more

I only tried the cheese and pepperoni slices (same price for a slice with cheese and a slice with cheese + 1 topping). I agree, this is definitely thin New York style pizza. The proportion of cheese (there was a nice tight layer of cheese laid down), sauce, grease and salt was just right for me. The crust was al dente. We ordered a Stromboli and Wings as well as a Cannoli and Cheesecake from this restaurant. We had it delivered to our hotel while in Durham NC. The food was delicious, hot and was delivered promptly with a smile - and at a reasonable price as well. We highly recommend this pizza restaurant to anyone visiting Duram NC. read more

Today is Nov 7, 2015 today I ate from Randys pizza because I love their steak and cheese subs! So anyway I called in my order picked my sub up got home and it was a big big mess my bread was soggy the sandwich looked like dog poop!!! I called the manager told him he was very nice about the situation he told me to come back which I did then he got the short Hispanic guy to remake it!! I had to stand up and watch him remake my sub I also had to tell him to cook my meat till it was well done but anyway he remade it the right way!! But I also got a cookie from them and it was terrible awful it taste old!!! I'm very very disappointed with them today!!! Smh the Hispanic guy act as if he did not want to be at work!! I was at duke ambulatory for surgery and when I came out of recovery I was very hungry. I ordered steak and cheese subs with an order of fries for delivery. I asked for extra ketchup packs. It took over an hour and a half to receive the food. Everything was cold and there wasn't the first ketchup pack. If I could give them zero stars I would!! Horrible place. Ordered alfredo and waited 90 mins for delivery. The garlic rolls were burnt black. So was part of the chicken. The alfredo had cream sauce on it, but not one piece of cheese-not acceptable for a dish with cheese in the name. Won't be eating here again for a while. read more
