Special Rang Biryani
Bun C.

Got take out from here and the workers were very friendly. Take out portions were decent for the price. I loved the yogurt and Indian chutney sides they included with the meal. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and rice which was good and the spices were perfect. However, the Special Rang Biryani was a bit on the dry side (esp the lamb) and didn't have much chicken. Also, the shrimp did not taste too fresh because I don't think they cleaned the dark vein along the side. That being said, parking wasn't too bad. We parked in the parking lot a bit further down and walked a block to the restaurant. Will be back to try other items on the menu during lunch time to get better pricing. It is a nice authentic Indian gem in the center of Stoneham.

Went for dinner. Very nice cozy plan in a nook of a corner. Good parking spots around the place. I was bit worried right after entering the place since no one was sitting inside however the place was busy with delivery orders that were getting picked up with a good pace. I left the place feeling happy and contented with the food quality and service. Got papad and chutneys to start with which was great. Ordered big basket of assorted bread which came with garlic naan, tandoori roti, plain naan, onion kulcha etc and an excellent deal on small/big basket vs individual orders in case of a picky eater. Bread was hot, fresh and awesome:. Tomatoes soup was hot and decent. Ordered saag paneer and navratan korma -medium Flavor. Excellently prepared and great service. Got the excellent food so quickly. Enjoyed it a lot !

Good Indian food Ordered takeout. Street parking. Got there and food was ready. Small little spot. Quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Got the chicken Tikka Masala spicy. Still hot when got back. Tikka masala is good. I picked the spicy level and it was enough kick to taste the sauce without overpowering. I would order it this way again. Chicken pieces inside are plenty and they are big pieces. I wished they were half the size for bite size. Chicken is cooked well and still moist inside. No complaint on rice and chutney. I would return to try something else when I am in the area again.

Look at the color on those curries!! Got a chance to stop at Rang Indian Bistro, a local restaurant in Boston and was absolutely blessed at amazing, quality food. I ordered one of my personal favorites, Lamb Vindaloo, and my coworker ordered the chicken curry. I was definitely sweating from the spice, but it was delicious, especially with their fresh naan. The bite of chicken curry was also quite yummy . The samosa appetizer was also really good. $10.95 for the Vindaloo and $9.95 for the Chicken Curry, esp for the quantity, is an absolute deal during lunch hours. 5/5

Average food with average hospitality! Things we ordered: Kalmi Kebab: 5/10 Presented really well on a sizzling platter however it didn't taste as good as it looked Overcooked hard chicken. Malai Kofta: Decent flavors. 6/10. The cardamom in the curry overpowered the taste. The Kalmi Kebab was not taken off the bill even when we informed the staff about the overcooked chicken. Highly disappointed, if you are visiting this please refrain from ordering their Meat!

Amazing Indian food the best around. Service is excellent. Very clean comfortable atmosphere.

3.5 stars. The food was on the good side, but not the best Indian food I've had in Greater Boston. I got the chicken tikka masala which came with rice. I ordered medium spice as I didn't want it to be too hot, but I could have gotten it hotter. There were some folks at a nearby table who probably shouldn't have been out for Indian food at all as they were asking for 0 spice. Dude - go eat some plain noodles then. Lol Anyway - the service was meh. I ordered food right away, but said I needed a moment to look at the wine list. They never came back to see if I wanted wine. So... I just drank water. I also had to flag them down to get the check and again to take my credit card. The place wasn't full and it just seemed like customer service wasn't their thing. To sum up - food was good, not great. Service was subpar, but I would return if I'm in the area and in the mood for Indian cuisine.

Delicious food. Good service. A great place to try. Parking is on street and wasn't too hard to find.

Awesome. On time as usual and the bhindi masala was great. I like this one because it's not as oily as some Indian restaurants. A must try.

Indian is one of my favorites and this was a fairly short drive from our hotel in Waltham. We made a reservation but that did not seem to be at all necessary. It was a Monday night and it was not particularly busy. We were seated right away. They featured a very pleasant dining room and we were able to secure a table by the front window. This was a great spot and added to our experience. The service was very good. We were attended to quickly and well cared for throughout our time there. The food came out in a timely manner well presented at the appropriate temperature. My colleague opted for the Creamy Coconut Chicken. I tried a bite of this and was favorably impressed. In addition, he had a Mango Lassi to which he also gave a thumbs-up. I had the Fish Curry, which I ordered at a medium level in terms of spice. It was very tasty as it had just the right amount of kick. He ordered the Garlic Naan to accompany his meal while I had my favorite type of Indian bread (my favorite type of bread period, really) Peshwari Naan. We were both happy with these choices. I also had a glass of cabernet which turned out to be a decent choice. Our final bill that included food, drinks, tax and tip was $86. At $43 per person in this inflationary time, I was happy enough with the value given the quality of the fare and the overall experience. I would be happy to make a return visit.

All the flavors were good, and being that it was our first time there I might have ordered too much food to try - Eyes bigger than stomach mentality! The Curry Shrimp was insane delicious, the Tikka Masala was good, Medium spice is slightly spicy for those that dont love it, just a heads up! I can deal most often times but this night my mouth was doing its own thing & my lips were on fire, LOL But still ate the whole thing because the flavor was spot on and I was just unable to stop shoveling it into my mouth. Ordered 2 pieces of Naan and wish I got 100, Its such a simple item but OMG I could eat it all night, its like potato chips, LOL I went deep fried momo and might want to try steamed next time, we will see... They were good, but I didnt love them, Just way too greasy for me but that might just have been because of the extreme delay in delivery they sat in that grease!!! Cant wait to try more thing again, and now Im drooling, LOL

Both the curry and the rice were hearty portions. The chicken pieces were lean white meat, cleanly cut, and tender. The bell peppers and onions were well coated in the curry sauce while still maintaining their crunch and texture. Overall, a very solid meal, especially for sharing several dishes.
