Timeline Arcade is a retro arcade in downtown York. Parking depends on the time of day with options…read moreon both the street and local garages, but don't be surprised if you have to walk a few blocks. Timeline is like most current retro arcades, you pay X amount per hour for unlimited plays, and you pay when entering. The entry fee for an hour is very reasonable. The arcade is reasonably large and is spread across two rooms. Selection includes retro arcade machines, pinball machines, consoles, and other gaming items. Timeline does get newer Stern pinball machines like JAWS and Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, on top of a handful of older machines like Spy Hunter and White Water. The selection of general arcade machines is good, with machines like Spy Hunter, Coors Light Bowling, Rampage World Tour, and Revolution X catching my interest. Several TV's and couches are available for console gaming. Timeline has some problems however. They need to more clearly define the BYOB policy in its public facing information. From experience, BYOB here means "mancan/tallboy" sized drinks IE larger cans. The bigger issue is the machine maintenance problems which have gotten worse over time. I've run into several issues with machines not working, and during my last visit a bunch in the back room were out of order. Some of the machines at Timeline are clearly B or C grade machines, and simply do not play as better examples would. Is Timeline still worth a visit? Yes. It remains one of the better retro arcades in Pennsylvania, but there are better out there including in surrounding states like New Jersey.

As far as going to this American Legion in Linglestown, I would highly recommend not going. This was my experience. Arrived around 3 pm, waited at the service bar for at least 10 minutes without an acknowledgement that the bartender-we had eye contact- would be over. Finally after showing my American Legion card and my friend's driver's license we were served. Bartender was not a pleasant person. We did not feel welcome at all. I have been to this American Legion before as I visit my family in the area. Every visit has been a bad experience. Take my advice and go to the American Legion in Hummelstown or Hershey. There are some nice people there.

The only reason I visited Lotus was due to the website showing wholesale options. When I got to…read morethe store, I learned the only option for wholesale was 'not this close to the 4th of July'. I overheard another customer asking about cases and the employee stated that he did not think the owner would sell a case this close to the holiday. No mention of this on the website. This explains why the owner is misleading people because he cannot compete with Phantom and Keystone without his version of the 'wholesale' bait-and-switch. Considering the size of the store, I doubt he ever sells 'wholesale', probably due to 'supply' issues. Remember, this is a retail store, just like Phantom and Keystone, but you spend more for less because they are so big, they can give you better retail deals. The only way to beat them is true wholesale. P.S. The employee running the counter was nice and professional. Also, to be fair, the selection based on the size of the store was good.

Food options were nice and not crazy expensive. They had all these freebies - baseball caps, pens, pencils, lanyards, ponchos, even candy! I don't know, though, if this was a special thing or is every game. There was a lot to hold an 8-year- old's interest- fun games and silliness between innings. The Saturday fireworks were canceled due to lateness of the game (rain delay) and the noise ordinance in the city, but all were given the opportunity to come back for free to another game. The guy behind the counter was very nice and friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the tastings were free, although served in small plastic cups. They had many different kinds of wine for sale by the bottle, but only about 7 wines for tasting, ranging from dry to sweet. I'm not a sweet wine fan so we tried the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon/Chambourcin. Both were very nice dry wines and we ended up buying a bottle of the Cab Sav/Cham blend. My expectations for Pennsylvania wines is not very high, but this winery is definitely worth the stop if you want to support a local winery. Cheers

Attending concerts also gives access to the club next door (Nocturnal), so it's a place to hang out after the show if you like. The bar was set up efficiently and drinks were fairly priced for a nightclub. Can't wait to see the 2026 lineup and attend more shows "right in my backyard."
