I had high hopes. They came out and said they would have a quote in a few days on water damaged areas. I received an email 9 days later asking if they could come back the following week to inspect again. This was an urgent fix from rain damage so I expected them to move quickly and not wait 2 weeks to only ask for another inspection. Initially I had them inspect a few other concerning areas and they said those areas were not an issue. A few days later I found out that they aren't okay and will need to be addressed quickly. I reached out to see if they can quote those areas and they said the job was too small. The rep wouldn't even call me back. Candidly there were a lot of misses along the way the way. Well, we had a flood in our professional commercial office. As a result, someone else (the neighbor where the flood originated) called Paul Davis to help with the water and dry out. Yes we authorized the dry out. That was 5 days and then it took another 2 weeks for them to pick up the equipment. In the process, they removed the baseboards. They came back to pick up the equipment, finally, and had us sign a completion. After they left, we discovered that in removing the baseboards, they used a crowbar and all along the walls, our newer (4 years) tile floors were so chipped that when we replaced the baseboards (by another company) it wouldn't even cover the damage. I got the bill and immediately requested a job review as they did damage to my floors. I set 4 appointments with them to come out and review the job with a supervisor. Three times they were a no show. Finally on the 4th appointment they come out and their solution was to add a piece of wood along the edges to cover up the damage. That isn't a solution, that is a cover up. I got an estimate from another company for the repairs and it was $8000. I tried several times to negotiate with Paul Davis in regards to the damage THEY caused to my floors. NO follow up from them except another bill. NO offer to actually fix the problem. Every time they emailed a bill (to the wrong business name, by the way) I responded with questions about my floor and can we please find a solution. I never got a response and then they sent me to collections. So Now I must choose to sue them for damages or not. I really wish there was a zero star option. read more

This company should be closed for committing insurance fraud. I had to go through every line item on their invoice to tell them what they didn't complete. Nearly half the items they were charging for were either lied about or just not done at all. And what was completed was overcharged for. The work that was completed was sub par and my house is in worse condition than it was before the minor water leak I had. Not only did they lie to me and my insurance company but in order to get more money they did unnecessary work that prolonged the project. While completely neglected the source of the water damage. They had the audacity to tell me it was like that before the water damage. Please avoid this company they do not work with integrity. read more

Three years ago, this company tore out an inefficient angled island. They replaced it with new cabinets and granite top 8'X5'. They did a superb job. Now, I needed a new microwave and purchased a KitchenAid drawer microwave. I hired Paul Davis Co to install it. It is wonderful and the job that they did was, as usual, top notch. My house was burglarized in August 2019. Paul Davis was hired by my insurance company to see put the restoration and repairs. They started the work order the first week of Sept. It was about 13k worth of things. Painting, lock replacement,, fencing,, and a general clean up. Yesterday on May 19 2020, they just finished. This company would go weeks almost months without speaking to me. I'd leave Tony texts, office messages, emails and voice mails...no returns. I wasn't able to live in my house for 9 MONTHS because of how slow and incompetent these people were. I asked them for a invoice of everything that has been completed what needs to be completed and inwas told "uh why? Didn't we walk through the house? We don't do keep records of things like that.""We only have the original quote and that's it." I explained to Tony and the GM that in a legal standpoint, saying "well i showed them what we did" isn't suffice. I need a receipt! But it was like pulling teeth. This is an issue because if everything they did is under warranty, but if i dont have legal affirmation in a legal documented binding way, how would I hold a company to their warranty? All of this is after 7-8 months of them doing as little work and as slow as possible. I spoke to the general manager about this and told him I will fire them and report them to Better Business Burea...which made all of a sudden start getting things completed for me. I've had to pay 2 mortgages for 9 months because this company couldn't just complete ANYTHING in a timely matter. Everyhting about the process and dealing with these people was like speaking to children. Inhad to problem solve for them everytime I spoke to them. I know it sounds like im just complaining but I spoke to Tony yesterday and I told look man, Its not personal. You guys are absolute garbage and incompetent. This whole process has been painful and you guys enjoy being lazy. The financial burden this company put me in because they couldn't complete simple tasks is insane. It took tony an hour to get me an email because he asked me to sign a check for the company without any paperwork to give me. No in voices. No completion markers. No receipt. It was like "hey bro. Everything is done. Sign this. Later" I asked him "hey man. When you buy something...dont you want a proof a purchase? Where's mine?" It took him over an hour to get someone to email it to me which was hard because the ladies at the office weren't in yet at 10 am! I don't understand why you wouldn't bring me the proper documentation in the first place? Tony said "I didn't think about it". The work that was done for the most part was half ass until about last week. They had drip paint stains all over my house until last week...they been done painting for months. Now for the good things. The work at the very end, all the work was completed and im satisfied with the end product itself...but its hard to even say that after 9 months of doing people who really care. To the members of Paul Davis- look its not personal. The experience you gave me was unprofessional, shady, and careless. Maybe this was an anomaly...but 9 months of consistent mistakes and lack of communication overrides the nice paint job in the kitchen. I recently contacted Paul Davis Restoration after a referral by my insurance agent. I will give them credit for a quick response. Unfortunately, the rest of my interactions did not go as well. I received a bid from them for $1,500.00 to do some remediation work and dry out the affected areas. I then canceled them (with-in my 3-day period) after going through another contractor. My bill for just setting the dryers was amazingly $1,700.00 and no remediation work was done. After contacting them concerning the bill, it was reduced to $1,500.05. If this is the type of company you like to do business with, knock yourselves out. read more

We contacted Paul Davis last October, and a representative (a very agreeable young man) visited our home on the 20th. He confirmed that our budget was reasonable for the changes we wanted and offered some useful ideas. He also took measurements of the kitchen and bathrooms. Four and one-half months have now passed with no word from this company, neither an estimate nor even some explanation for the delay. Worst company for restoration work ever. They have since been fired from USAA as a preferred provider based on what we had to tell USAA about them and even USAA could not get them to complete the job. They stole the roof, they stole items from our house, left doors gates etc. completely unlocked and as a result after 3 day of their BS we fired them and had a great company do the work. Awful experience since day one! Sal who was the initial guy who come to the incident the day of the flood no professionalism at all. Quiet and seemed like he didn't speak. Very demanding to his coworker and poor communication skills period. the humidifiers and fans were place and someone left a sharp blade on top of one of the fans our home was a big mess with all things belonging and furniture moved everywhere we couldn't walk freely so we had to move the fans once in a while so my son happened to move one of the fans and accidently sliced his ring finger w/the blade. I told Adri-Ann about it and her response was " your son who is a minor had no business moving the fans" Really? Adri-Ann specifically is the worse person to deal with she is NOT professional at all of course uses photos to give false statements claiming to the insurance I want to claim things damage that were not at the time of the incident. Who will know more her or my family and I who where there at the time of the chaos when all things were moves around because of the panic and shock we experienced that day of the flood in our house which was a 3 inch water flood. This woman is cynical and so unprofessional she is in the wrong field she has no heart to show care and concern for customers who are in such stressful and uncomfortable situation in our case my family and I had to relocate 5 times until our house was repair to its fully completion and were out of our home 10 months and when you deal with people like this you just want to let the community know what to expect from Paul Davis. I totally Do Not recommend them they damage furniture and return things dirty and don't care to return your belongings damage she even stated she was doing me a favor to repair items and belongings they damaged.
