This was phenomenal. My wife and I did kayaking and snorkeling on our anniversary and it was tight! Got to enjoy the views and the ocean while having fun and exercising. Nice way to start a great day. We saw turtles, fish and it was beautiful. We saw all sorts of magic down in the water. Bradley is the man. He was our guide. Dude was incredible. Safety was always his main concern. He always kept that in mind. Shouts to Bradly also for being positive and friendly even when the winds started picking up. He was cognizant of the weather conditions, encouraging and always positive. The option to rent go pros would have been super cool but Bradley went down waaaaay into the water to take our picture. That was cool as well. They'll email it apparently! Anyway, highly recommend it.

On our last day in Maui we decided to do the snorkel/ kayak tour. We looked around and a lot of them were very expensive, this place was a great price. This was one of the best things we did on our visit. We got to see all sorts of different fish and tons of sea turtles. The best part was Kale, our guide. He was so friendly and informative about everything. He taught us so much about the history and all the islands. I learned so much on this kayak tour about the islands. Kale answered our million questions we had and afterwards we got some wonderful fresh pineapple. I recommend everyone go on this kayak tour. Best thing we did while we were there!

She taught us the different plant groups that feed each other, and what order to plant to get the most productivity (and safety! We learned that papaya makes a good windbreak for smaller and more delicate plants, and agave makes a good firebreak!). I wish I lived in Maui because I'd be planting mangoes, papayas, bananas, coffee, and cocoa, RIGHT away. It was wild finding out how fast and tall papaya trees grow! These plants don't grow well in Seattle, but we are still going to take what we learned and see how we can apply similar features for our own food forest. I appreciated the very real perspectives about what works - as well as pitfalls and challenges with their food forest / mango farm. The tour was really interesting and fun, and we even had a resident cat named Tyson who took the tour with us! SO CUTE! The view there was beautiful, and though our tour group was tiny, I could see this being a fun activity for kids and families, too. Enough safe space for little folx to run around safely, and so much is stackable. She let us try mango (and wild mangos), ice cream beans (what an experience!), fresh coffee, and more. So good! They said they are going to do dinner parties here and I look forward to coming back to the Maui mango farm when we visit next time. Hopefully we'll have some good photos to show off of the garden upgrades that they've inspired. We really wanted to do something to support the Lahaina community (without being a disaster tourist, either), so visiting a regenerative farm seemed like an awesome choice, and I'm very glad we went. Bonus: since Olowalu was on our way back, we got a spectacular sunset, too.

"What are the odds of having concussion due to the high velocity of mango falling on your head?!?!" We were greeted by a very nice couple and served a very refreshing glass of lemongrass and cardamom leaf tea to start to hear about regenerative farming. It was invigorating and soothing at the same time. It was especially helpful for me to get over the mild cold during this trip. The walk was very easy and informative and we wore tennis shoes but it could have been easily done with flip flops or sandals. At the end, we were served delicious box of star fruit, papaya, and different mango samples . Also, we were given some recommendations on good local eats, cafes, and bakeries and some or then we spent time ourselves to find!! They are planning on serving dinner as well in the future mango farm tours so be on the lookout!!!

I wanted a Maui adventure, but also wanted to help understand and respect the local culture. Cliff, co-owner and tour guide of We Go Maui, was great in sharing how the land and sea work together. How non-native plants and creatures have been harmful to Maui but what volunteers are doing to heal and take care of Maui to restore it, especially after the fire in August 2023. We definitely got the "WE go" vibe as opposed to the "I go" vibe. It takes a community to bring healing back to Maui. Cliff and his team are respectful of the land and sea and make your experience fun, adventurous, educational and more of a local feel, not touristy. I loved it! We customized our tour with Cliff, and I got the local experience I had hoped for. Cliff took care of us (my husband, my mom and me) the whole time, even when we had to reschedule one part of the tour and brought our 3 young kids with us. Be flexible as circumstances like weather and conditions can change what you do first or when. Just go with the flow!

We began our journey by hiking a short distance to petroglyphs, stopping to observe various plants along the way. Jason shared the cultural significance of each and stories associated with them that have been passed down from generations. We were then spoiled with the BEST snorkeling spots we visited during our trip! Jason made sure to point out the different types of fish, sharing interesting facts along the way. We even saw multiple turtles, sea cucumbers, different types of coral, and sea stars! Jason was so kind and considerate, making sure we were able to comfortably enter and exit the water. What a difference it makes to have a knowledgeable, friendly, laid-back local to share the beauty of the island! If you are looking for a more personalized snorkeling excursion where you can ask questions, you've found the right spot. Thank you so much, Jason and Cliff. We will be back!

I really wanted to be present with my group so the fact that Henry captured photos and took videos of the day was the main reason I chose him. We received both within a couple days and have shared the video and photos to everyone in our lives. Traveling solo, it feels weird to take selfies everywhere or worse, asking someone to take your photo. We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. And he captured the best pics! I highly recommend this EXACT excursion because you don't have to worry about any photos. He has it covered, and trust me, it's truly UNFORGETTABLE!!!

We've sailed with Sea Maui 8 or 9 times on their Sunset Dinner, Sunset Cocktail and Whale watching…read morecruises. For us, we prefer the Sunset Cocktail cruise as it's the perfect amount of food and drinks. This last trip, we took the whole family for the express snorkel trip. It's a shorter trip, which worked perfectly for the younger kids and didn't tie up a big amount of island time. Captain Nick and his crew was all about making sure all had a great time while keeping safety at the top of mind. They guaranteed we'd see turtles... we did! Immediately. I accused them of being remote controlled because they were there right on cue! I'm not a big snorkel guy, but I had a blast. We'll keep returning to Sea Maui. Greatest crew on Maui !!

On our vacation to Maui last week, we took trips out to the sea with Sea Maui twice. Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

You can cover a work boot in chocolate and I would eat it, I am not ashamed to say that I am a "Chocaholic" as well as a "Chocosaurus". We met up at their factory located In Lāhainā, fabulous store and open air seating area above their factory. Great modern design and decor and fully operated on solar and Tesla back up battery's. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but the gem of the operation is "Rissi" our guide. He was so knowledgeable of the operation and spoke so well of the growing process I could have listened to him all day and never got bored. He also integrated great things in about growing up on the island, the culture and his family background. Well done "Rissi" I wanna hang out with you. I learned so much about the plants, the natural growing methods Maui Chocolate uses and the process of refining Cocoa into chocolate. The tasting after the orchard tour was in a tree house above the orchards offering beautiful views of the orchard, views of Molokai and Lanai. Once you have tasted Maui Chocolate you won't eat anything else, you shouldn't because you are eating pure coco with only natural ingredients prepared the Maui Chocolate way. Do the tour, whether it's the factory tour or the orchard tour (I am a freak about gardening and growing) so I wanted to learn more about the trees and methods and I truly learned a lot about their natural growing methods. What really hit the heart most was Maui Chocolate donates 100% of it profits to charity, works with the community and also works with other countries on growing methods. Well done Maui Chocolate, you offer more than just chocolate goodness with your huge heart. And thank you "Rissi" for sharing your culture and history while taking care of business. I also learned so much about dark chocolate which I never used to enjoy until now! During the tasting I sampled a variety of unique flavors coffee, guava, mango, and even sugar-free and each one was incredible in its own way. The quality and freshness were unmatched. I was so impressed that after returning home I ordered two shipments from Maui Chocolate because I just couldn't get enough. A quick tip: arrive a little early for your tour.
