    Buffalo Chicken Nachos
    Zachary F.

We stopped by Rascals Tavern this weekend after some drinks at Bull City Cider down the road and it was the perfect way to end the night! We arrived about 7/715 that evening and were seated right away. To start we got some of the Buffalo Chicken Nachos for the table and holy smokes were these good! The flavor on these was phenomenal from the queso to the sauced fried chicken chunks to the freshly fried, very large tortilla chips! These did not disappoint. I actually liked the Buffalo chicken so much that I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich as well! Perfectly crispy and sauced and topped with some dang good pickles, all the flavor tied together so well that this chicken sandwich was one of the best I have had in a while! The fries were a great side as well, fresh and fried to perfection! We are glad we finally got to come and visit and cannot wait to come back!!

Because I was dining alone, I was seated immediately at the bar. However, I would recommend making reservations. It's a tavern, very small but adequate seating. The bread pudding French toast was hot and fresh. It came with mixed berries compote, syrup and powdered sugar. My Jameson and ginger was mixed perfectly. The customer service was average. Plenty of parking

Pros Friendly staff Uncomplicated menu Reservations accepted Generous portions Daily specials Plenty of parking Small Outdoor Patio Dining Cons, sorta of: I didn't care for the pancakes. They were too thick, fluffy and had a doughy undercooked taste. I simply prefer a more golden brown buttery pancake with crispy edges or a tad savory. But they were happy to remove them from our bill and apologized that we didn't like the pancakes. Loved: * When the chef comes to the dining room to observe how everyone is enjoying their meal so they can adjust portions, spices or recipes accordingly, you know you're in the right place. This chef cares wants you to enjoy your meal. * Our bartender was generous with pours. It felt good to see every drink being made with a fair amount of alcohol. Money well spent. * Nice alcohol selection at the bar My advice is to order anything with the homemade biscuits. The breakfast sandwiches looked so amazing I wish I tried one. Can't wait to return to this neighborhood gem.

We had 23 people from around the country arriving and leaving at different times and needed an outside area and accommodation for vegetarians and GF. Rascals Tavern accepted my reservation 2 hrs prior and was wonderful to us. They were understaffed that night, but they took care of us. Delicious food and drinks. Many of us got items from the daily specials and they were quite extensive that day. We were in a unique situation - coming into an unfamiliar town for a funeral, I was dreading asking for a reservation for 23 on such short notice, but the manager and staff were so kind to us.

Got dinner here with some friends and we all really enjoyed it. The nachos were a great start! The chips were made with flour tortillas and had a nice puffy texture. I got the rascals burger and fries and really enjoyed it.

Another good solid brunch option in town! I was finally able to give Rascal's a try this weekend for brunch and glad I did. I have been here before at night and enjoyed it then, too, but this review is specifically about their brunch. We made reservations for 10:45 on Saturday morning. It wasn't packed out or anything, and the bar was empty, but I guess it's best to make reservations, just in case as it's pretty small inside and I can see how it would pack out. The place itself is really cute and cozy, and I love the decor. Our waitress was super friendly and service was good. We started with a Spicy Bloody Mary and Mimosa - both good! Nothing spectacular but for the price, they were good. Speaking of prices, their food is probably a little more expensive than other places, especially if you order extras. I ordered the breakfast burrito, add ground beef (they were out of pork). It was extremely tasty! I love the queso poured over top. I also ordered a side of breakfast potatoes, which were surprisingly good. I say surprisingly, because sometimes potatoes can be too done or not seasoned enough, but these were perfect! My meal and drink after tip was $34, definitely a tad more than what I may normally spend on breakfast or brunch in Greensboro (but not much!). My friend ordered the pancakes and she liked those. I did taste the blueberry compote that came with the pancakes, and it was a little sour for me, but in combination with the syrup, would've probably been very good. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out. I'd love to come back to try the chicken biscuit or biscuits and gravy, the chicken and waffles look yummy also!

Love this place. The ambience inside reminds me of a tavern from France or Spain. I keep missing their Cuban sandwich, but their other menu options haven't disappointed yet. I'm a huge fan of their smash-burger and fries, very delicious. Great service, and a very relaxed spot. I've gone a few times with a reservation, no issues. Recommended!

A hidden gem with great fresh and local options. The dining room is small and this place gets busy so better to make a reservation on open table.

I've been wanting to hit this place up for brunch for ages and it was a true delight! I was easily able to make reservations online. I showed up and was seated within 5-7 minutes. Boy was it packed so I was happy we had reservations! I ordered the biscuit and gravy which was a huge biscuit covered in that perfect southern sausage white gravy. The biscuit was a little sweet and definitely had crispy, caramelized bites. It was a very cute, filling dish. I wanna try the breakfast tacos next!

Based on the environment & staff, this was a nice visit. This place is tucked away in a little corner and I nearly missed it. Upon entering, it was quaint and cozy. We were seated for a party of 2 upon confirming the reservation. Our waiter appeared to be the only person working the floor so we acknowledged there may be longer wait times than usual. This wasn't an issue for us because we needed a bit extra time to scan the menu. Right away, we knew an appetizer would be nice until we decided on meals so the fried deviled eggs were the pick. WOW!! They were an experience I'll not soon forget! For starters, I could smell the maple syrup before they hit the table and the bacon with the creamy filling had my mouth watering in anticipation. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! The entrée portion was okay. I enjoyed the tender juicy grilled chicken on The Squawk! It was also accompanied with a raspberry aioli ! I enjoyed each bite until I became full. The Mac & cheese was creamy but not giving much else. The noodles were cooked perfectly. For the Better than Rueben sandwich & fries, they could've been cooked a little less, the flavors were still great for the Rueben. The fries were a bit hard & the meat was dry. Our waiter was more than happy to replace the order with their taco special for the evening. As a whole, we appreciated the service and felt well taken care of & they were offering half off all wines, which I think is a regular occurrence. Would I return? Possibly, it was a nice first experience.

Bacon egg and cheese Egg Sandwich with a side of cheesy grits
    Christina A.

Never thought I'd say this outside of NYC, but the bacon, egg and cheese on sourdough sandwich is the best I've had. The egg is perfectly fried and the cheese melts right into it. And the side of cheese grits is heavenly. Our entire table loved their meals, which included the eggs Benedict and the hash of the day with hot honey fried chicken. Heaping piles of delicious food plus a cute ambience - what else could you want? Oh right - bottomless mimosas. They've got that, too.

Service 3.5/5 Food 4/5 Pricing 4/5 I had reservations for brunch at Rascals Tavern on a Sunday. We were seated pretty quickly, however, it took about 20-25 minutes for a waiter to come and offer water/coffee then take our order. The restaurant was full and only had 3 waiters working. The food presentation and quality was good! One thing I did not like was how the entrees did not come with sides and is sold separately. We had (from most favorite to least) Pork Chop Hash, Spicy/Honey Chicken Biscuit, and Eggs Benedict. Overall, this was a nice place with a calm vibe and good food so I will more than likely be back to try out lunch or dinner.

    Charcuterie #1
    Heidi M.

This place is excellent! I went here for a quick bite with my husband one night. They had a special with scallops and brussel sprouts. My husband loves scallops and hates brussel sprouts. Believe it or not, he ate every bit of the food. The chef has amazing skills and is always very inventive and unique. The cuban sandwich is prepared perfectly and the mac and cheese creamy and full of flavor. I have been on separate occasions and have never had a complaint. Their brunch is delicious with bottomless mimosas! There's always a special twist on their French toast whether it's blueberries or whip cream and chocolate. I have had the charcuterie board two separate times for dinner and both times they were different. (See separate pictures below). I like going to this place and there's always something different to eat. If you live in the Triad area and have not been here you need to go. Make a reservation because it is small but the service is outstanding!

The crowd was very much influenced by the fact that it is basically inside of the Revolution Mill housing area. Folks a little bit older and a little more upper-middle class than your typical brewery crowd based on my general impression. Like I said, though, it was a really light crowd, so I wouldn't probably go here to try to mingle or meet people. Also, parking was really confusing. THAT PATIO...WOW!…read more This spot at Revolution Mill is outstanding from top to bottom. The food, the ambiance and the service are stellar. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves as far as the quality of the food and drinks served here. Everything from the apps and drinks, to the steaks and mains were top notch. Perfectly cooked juicy steaks, up there with the best of the best in the area. You won't go wrong with anything off of this menu, and the bartenders know what they're doing with delicious cocktails. In this review, I really want to emphasize the absolutely picture perfect patio they offer. First off, the interior space is large and beautiful. From the main dining room, to the large bar, and even the 2nd floor dining area. And then feast your eyes on the large wrap around patio, with an added separate bar and covered area as well. There are maybe a handful of great patio dining experiences in Greensboro that aren't on a main busy street or facing a parking lot. And those are great, but few and far in between. This patio stands with the best of them. No busy street. No loud parking lot. A raised area with flowing water, lush greenery and even a serene fountain that all surround this wrap around and elevated patio. Just an excellent experience for drinks, food, friends and family, or all of the above. We enjoy bellying up to a bar for drinks and happy hr, we enjoy going to places for a few apps, and we also enjoy tasty food and the whole experience. This has now become one of the top spots in our rotation for happy hr drinks, a few snacks, or for a full dining experience. If you haven't been yet...go. If you've already enjoyed the amazing food in their main dining area or bar...come back and enjoy this lovely patio experience.

I left and went to deck bar and experienced the same treatment. I went to wait for the party to arrive, the hostess asked was it to warm outside, I responded no and explained my experience. He immediately apologized for my experience and told someone about my experience, she did take my drink order and brought it to me. We were a party of 14 and seated, waitress took our appetizer orders which arrived approximately 30-40 minutes later. Again, I will say it was busy, but wait time for appetizers was unacceptable!! The waitress was serving two large parties with no assistance from anyone. Our dinner orders were taken and took a ridiculous amount of time to receive, one guest started a timer after appetizer wait and it took 52 minutes to entrees to be received ! I didn't even eat my meal, I just got it to go. We had to ask for water refills and had to clear our own appetizers plates. I don't blame waitress, I blame management for not giving her help.
