With most "trades", because of the specialization of the service, it's tough to find businesses that don't take advantage of their customers. This isn't the case with RASP HVAC because the service isn't being provided by a "company" but by the man himself. My brand new AC system installed by the home builder started with a leak that left us with issuing a warranty claim after the first year of operation. The warranty repair never sealed the leak and we ended up with a sweltering home in the middle of summer in just a couple years. I found RASP HVAC on Yelp a few years later and after taking to Joseph thought he might be able to find the leak. Even though he wasn't able to find the leak, Joseph went the extra mile to check every component in the system and even some that aren't so obvious or easily accessible. Yet another amazing business found on yelp in the books! Let's be honest, anything HVAC related can be stressful because of the prices we hear. Heck, we had just recently received a 30k quote from another company sent by AHS- my Home Warranty- ServLegacy. They had recommended replacing everything, Hvac units, ductwork AND furnace- times TWO because of our dual units. They Advised to get everything replaced instead of repaired because just the individual repair would be a weeks possibly months long process?? Uhm ok??? Joe was great. I was about to get scammed by a different company. They gave me a quote to replace my HVAC completely. The unit is old but replacing it wasn't an absolute necessity. Plus their quote didn't make any sense and was more than double the cost of the unit you can buy online. They also lied about R22 refrigerant saying it's illegal but it's not. The code allows existing units to use but not imported or used in the new units. I wanted to share my experience with HASP HVAC. Our A/C unit stopped working last night around 08:00 p.m. Yesterday (07/05/24) was 107 in Menifee, and it was still very hot at night. Joe is the owner of RASP. Despite being extremely busy today, he said he would squeeze me in sometime between 02:00 - 04:00. However, he called me earlier around 10:00 a.m. and said he finished up his previous job and was 5 mins. away and could look at it. Since it was 83 in my house, I said that would be great. Joe came over and diagnosed that my compressor was bad. He went to his truck, got a new one, and literally within 15 mins there was cold air again.
