First time checking out Ravenswood Nail Party as my regular nail salon was closed. I can absolutely say that I was highly impressed. The interior has a nice warm and cozy feeling with the amount of natural plants. All the nail colors are cruelty free and nontoxic but still very cute! Do yourself a favor and book an appointment it got busy in there very quickly! The owner is an absolute delight. She truly cares about her craft and customers, even so much that she helped someone when their car broke down! Truly genuine and cares. My no chip manicure was the quickest manicure I've ever had done in my life but it was done skillfully and I have no complaints. Came in today to get a mani-pedi immediately pleasantly greeted by Lynn. I asked for restroom which was very then proceeded to to pedicure area where I was greeted by Dan and Sam. The owner Lien is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Salon is cute, with an abundance of plants. Unfortunately I got a really crappy no chip manicure, and the polish has completely popped off two nails within the first 24 hours. I came back to get the first one fixed and they were nice, apologetic and dealt with it quickly. I raced back to get the second one fixed just before the salon was supposed to close at 8 pm, but it was closed up for the night by 7:40 pm. I totally understand not wanting to wait around if there are no customers, especially as the weather gets colder, but I am disappointed that now I have messed up nails for a big event. read more

This was literally the worst manicure I have ever received. The manicurist, who I am pretty sure is the owner, rushed the service. At one point she asked me to wash my hands off in the faucet where my feet were. I would not complain if it was 1/2 of what I paid. Service was about 25 min long, there was no liner put in the tub for my feet and halfway through I noticed a variety of hair floating in the water, none of which belonged to me or the technician. She was rough pushing back my cuticles and possibly was using the wrong tools for the job, it left marks on a few nails but the worst was my big toe on both feet. lien's description of events is entirely FALSE. but it's a free country and we're all free to lie, as lien as. there was 1 other employee with a client, as well as the client lien was "finishing", in the place and all seemed very uncomfortable with her yelling at me. i MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 130pm with lien and i arrived 2 minutes early, than had to wait 20 minutes, while lien did everything else but wait on me. she FINALLY sat down to our 130pm APPOINTMENT at 150pm, it took her 10 minutes to fix my ONE, broken, natural nail, that i KNEW when i called any competent manicurist could quickly repair. lien clearly believes her customers should wait as long as she wants them to. you'll notice she didn't mention in her made-up version of events, that i waited TWICE as long as the repair took to do, nor the fact she shouldn't have scheduled me when she did, because my, (our) time is as important as lien's. won't ever return, especially after all lien's lies. go at your own risk, but have PLENTY of time to spare, because this place doesn't care if they see you on time or not. I stopped by on a recent Saturday, just to ask some questions, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had immediate availability. I'm not the pedicure queen by any stretch of the imagination, but I wanted my feet to look and feel good for an upcoming reflexology class. The business is bright, airy and clean. While I was sitting down at the pedicure station, I saw a gentleman cleaning up after another pedicure client had left. I was impressed by how thoroughly he cleaned everything there. The gentleman who did my pedicure did not speak English, but it worked out fine. I didn't get anything fancy, not even color on the nails; I just wanted my feet and nails to look good and feel good, and I got exactly what I wanted. He did an excellent job. I cannot rate this place enough. I called to make a same day appointment for a late pedicure. I came in at 7:30 pm and was automatically treated to wonderful service by Lien who had seated me and my pe began right away. In the age of nail salons rushing through work while charging crazy prices, Ravenswood is a gem of a place with QUALITY service, I felt like I was at a spa. The vibes (adorable studio with good musics and plants), the service and the prices have made me a loyal customer in just one trip. I only wanted a pedicure but was given a great deal and ended up getting a no chip mani as well. I love how clean and neat it came out. I stumbled across this place when I decided to get a manicure on a whim, and I'm so glad that I did. The shop is full of plants and it creates a warm, almost jungle-like environment. Lien does a fabulous job, always asking if I am happy with the nail shape before applying color, which easily lasts three weeks. They are open 7 days a week so I've never had trouble getting an appointment, even if I call just the day before. They do charge $5 to remove the no-chip polish, but wrap your hands in a hot towel during the process, making it a more spa-like experience. I also love that the products they use are all cruelty free (and vegan). Ravenswood Nail Party is now my regular go to place for manicures! read more

I went here for a pedicure on a Saturday morning. They upsold me to the more luxurious $45 pedicure, because why not. Pros: Super friendly service, offered wine (but passed as I was still on coffee time), great massage and salt scrub, my legs and feet feel super smooth. I think she spent more time on my nail beds than any other nail tech ever which was honestly amazing. The nail polish seems like a much better brand than most - BioSeaweedGel. Cons: I chose the watermelon nail polish (#69), and it's a lot more orange on my toes than it was on the board. The actual paint job is not great. I walked places this place 10x before going in and it's super cute inside, the owner is knowledgeable AND very friendly. It's a new business and has Zoya/bioseaweed nail polish so if you're an OPI freak maybe this is not the place for you. That said, they have a bunch of colors and their pedicure area is gorgeous. All of the women I have talked to I. The space have been so nice and I like to talk to my tech rather sit in silence. I also like that they don't have acrylics because it's harmful for employees breathe all the time. Bio seaweed is a vegan gel polish so that makes me even happier! I decided to give Ravenswood Nail Party a try because of the Groupon they have available. They were able to get me in for an appointment the same day and got me in right away when I arrived (many places in Chicago aren't great about honoring appointments). While I did miss the standard massage chair, the atmosphere in the pedicure area was beautiful and quite relaxing. Their products are green and toxin-free and even with that the pricing is right on point with other salons. They offer complimentary wine which is a nice touch. They also have a 7 day guarantee on no chips so if something happens you can come in and get it fixed. That's something I've never seen before and love it. This nail salon is now my go-to in the neighborhood. Their attention to customer satisfaction is basically unprecedented in nail salons. The salon itself is so modern and clean. The owner, Lien, is very friendly and accommodating. I called ahead, and she was able to fit me in for a last minute no-chip manicure. Prices are standard, if not a bit low. The no-chip manicure is $35. Other comparable options in the area charge $40 now. Because the place is new, all services are currently 25% off! They also pride themselves on using high quality, green products. The no-chip polish doesn't have 5 of the most common, harmful chemicals that polish usually has. Despite this, there is no decrease in quality. My manicure turned out great! I was able to get an appointment last-minute on a Friday and headed over from work. Typically, a no-chip mani and a pedi takes me about two hours at other places, but I was in and out of Ravenswood Nail Party in about 75 minutes. It was great - one woman got to work on the pedicure while another started removal of my mani and then did the mani without me having to move anywhere. The one thing I was sad about was that I heard another woman be offered the Jello pedicure and it looked really cool. I didn't know I could have done this so I was a bit sad it hadn't been offered to me. However, the free glass of red made me care less about this and now I'll know to ask for it the next time I go in :) Very friendly staff. I hadn't put my thumb fully in the UV lamp and so it looked a bit matte, but they immediately gave me another top coat and fixed it right up. I'll be back soon! read more

Overall the service was just okay. The nail tech was kind and did a good job, however, I have to agree with the other reviews. I called and booked an appointment for 2:45 and the $60 special ends at 3:00pm (per the website) and when I went to pay she switched the price to be 75 instead of 60. She said I would have had to be there at least by 2:30 and I came in later than when I did. However, I have my parking receipt to show when I parked right outside. I walked in two minutes late. I know she will comment on here like the other reviews saying that I didn't mention I wanted a no chip manicure and pedicure but I did when I called earlier today. Immediately when you ask questions she gets defensive and it makes you feel wrong for asking. It's not a terrible salon but I wouldn't recommend you to go if there are other options. read more
