We really want to like this place. We have visited here twice and both times the food was very good. The atmosphere is fantastic! So why only two stars? The service. We had the same server both times we were there and she was almost non existent. We were greeted nicely at the door both times and the waitress approached us quickly for a drink order.... all good. Then we watched as our drinks sat on the end of the bar for nearly 10 min before she picked them up. We watched her walk around the restaurant, sometimes doing something and sometimes appearing almost lost. Finally, the other waitress (who was on the ball) noticed the drinks on the bar and said something to her. Our drinks were finally delivered. She then asked if we were ready to order and we said we were...... she walked away with no word. Evidently she didn't have a pad of paper and a pen (I was a server for years and never went to a table without something to take an order in my apron). She eventually came back and took our order. The pizza we ordered took a good amount of time (and we heard other tables complaining about the amount of time it was taking for appetizers) and while we were waiting we finished our drinks. No one came over to our table at any time to see if we needed anything, despite empty glasses, for nearly 10 min. About 5 min into this, we pushed our empty glasses to the end of the table and eventually the owner (we think) noticed and got us drinks (and said they were on the house... nice touch). Finally our pizza came. The crust was fabulous but this time, there was way too much sauce which made it very hard to eat. (Last time the pizza was excellent!). We then waited, and waited, and waited for our meals to come (we ordered ravioli so we know this doesn't take a long time). No one came to our table to see if we needed anything or to check in to let us know why our food was taking so long. We finally asked the waitress who was on the ball, Christine, how long our food was going to be. We had plans to meet people and if it was going to be long, we were going to cancel our order. She immediately checked on it and the food came out. It was really good but it was bordering on cold. It likely was sitting in the window for some time waiting for absentee waitress to come and get it. We quickly ate and paid the bill (very reasonable for what we got). We asked the good waitress what her name was and what nights she worked. She told us and we decided that we would go back but only if she waited on us. (we got there at 7 and didn't get our food until 8:20... pizza and ravioli, none of which take a long time) Note to the owner: Please work on the service, we were not the only ones to complain. A large table of people in the service industry were there at the same time we were. We saw them at Ledges after our meal. They had a similar experience as we did and said that the server kept telling them that they were backed up in the kitchen. They said that it took almost 45 min to settle their bill. We actually watched as they were served. Some people had finished their meal before others were even served. Also, don't go up to a table while talking on the phone... its rude. Keep telephone conversations near the bar and not around the tables. I watched as Christine worked very hard to help out the other server. She recognized that she was frazzled and behind and did everything she could to help her out despite having other tables of her own. If she was not there, we would definitely not be back. read more

This restaurant is incredible and I recommend it to anyone in the area. Everything about the place makes you feel like it's truly an authentic Italian restaurant. Decorations are nice and of course the food is absolutely incredible (However the portions are a little small). I gave 4 stars because my only complaint is when I went I called and reconfirmed my reservation 2 times within the week that I was going and when I showed up they didn't have my reservation listed (but I luckily still got a table). read more

This place is a hidden gem!!! While on a mini vacay, we happened upon Ravyn and Robyn. We made reservations and we were seated immediately, even though we were 15 minutes early. The service was excellent, the food was excellent (pollo picatta and tagliatelle with bolognese). The creme brulee was PHENOMENAL (this coming from a French trained pastry chef). The owner was very pleasant and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely visit again when in the area. read more

What a great evening! Searching for a good restaurant in the area, I found Ravyn & Robyn on Yelp. The reviews were spot on. It's comfortably stylish, with a warm, comfortable dining room. The owners have an attention to detail that carries through everything. Our server was warmly gracious, and towards the end of the meal he told us his mother was the chef, and he'd grown up with her meals in Italy. Before the night was over, we joined another couple sitting with Bobby, the owner, and shared glasses of wine from the bottle he brought out. Relaxing, fun experience. This restaurant is phenomenal! We dined here last night with our two young daughters and all four of us were blown away. The service is excellent, the wait time for food is almost non-existent, the atmosphere is lovely and the food is absolutely delicious. The owner is a very sweet man, he came to our table several times throughout our meal and was especially nice to our daughters. We stumbled across this place because we couldn't find anything else open at 9PM (we're from NYC and forget that not everything is open NYC hours, oops.) I'm so glad this place was open. It was was a shock to find such a gem open late in a small town, I'd expect to find this place in the middle of NYC (where it would easily stand up to competition and picky critics, it truly is that great) Everything is well priced, also. I'll start by saying I gave a star for atmosphere, which is unique and beautiful!! One star for service which was just ok, I really do hate when there is no one avail to greet you and you're left standing there. decided to go sit at the last seats at the bar when 2 people stood at the check in book. We were seated right away at our reserved table. It took forever to get our food, The people next to us commented on this, as they came in much later but had finished their meals! Lastly the reason for the one star was the apologies for the back up in the kitchen and delay in getting our meals and the free Lemoncello (sp?), nice touch. Now as far as the food goes. We ordered the buffalo Mozzarella to share. Now I ask you, how hard would it have been to have a beautiful late summer farm tomato with this? Instead a hard pale red supermarket tomato appeared. No excuse when its a star on the plate. My husband ordered the veal parm which comes with a side of pasta with marinara, I ordered the homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce. We shared our meals. The veal was such a disappointment. 2 small rather thick pc's that looked like something that was packaged AND NO SAUCE on it, with thick slices of mozz melted on top!!! What the hell! Have they never heard of pounding veal thin! Weird. The marinara was ok and my pasta was def homemade and yummy but the meat sauce was lacking. My portion size was fine for me but when getting a pasta dish its usually more generous. On the plus side the drinks were wonderful, I had a grey goose cosmo and hubs had grey goose martini, both were awesome!! Well with that being said I do realize that it was a full house and that it might have been an off night for them. I always try a place twice to be fair. So we will return because I so want to be able to say we have a great Italian restaurant in Hawley!!! read more

Another excellent dinner. I had Rolle di Pollo and my wife had the Pollo Piccata. Both were prepared to perfection and again delicious ! Dinners are freshly prepared so don't be in a rush, but it is worth it. Our waiter was attentive and efficient always there when we needed attention. We both had wine and it was very good, however it was $10 a glass. Perhaps we were given one of their more costly wines. I guess we should have asked for a wine list. Probably one of the better restaurants in the area. Reservations are a must. While we were there we saw 4 different parties turned away because they did not have reservations. As vacation home owners in the Lake Wallenpaupack area, we have found a lackluster selection of local dining establishments and eateries. Thanks to stellar Yelp reviews, we decided to take a chance on Ravyn and Robyn. We had an EXCELLENT experience. We were able to make a reservation, even for only 2 people, and we were seated promptly when we arrived. The food was great, we were not rushed, prices were reasonable. The menu was varied enough so that just about anyone with a desire for good Italian fare could be easily satisfied... from simple pastas to more elaborate selections. Definitely a go-to favorite for future dining. read more

My sister and I decided to stop for lunch after checking the menu posted outside. The restaurant was very clean and playing Andrea Bocelli music. We ordered some wine, a caprese salad and a margarita pizza. The food was very good and was a perfect lunch for the two of us. For desert we had Nutella crepes. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent. Surprisingly the owners wait staff had not shown up and the owner herself service all of the tables. If other patrons had poor service it may be due to the fact that this owner has unreliable staff, but when the owner was running the whole show on her own the service was excellent. Went here for dinner with family. Food was absolutely to die for. Everything is homemade. The interior is beautiful and very well decorated. The wait staff is kind and helpful. I really, really wanted this restaurant to be great, but it fell short of my expectations, sadly. I loved my pasta dish, my husband's Tilapia was delicious, and my daughter loved her pizza. BUT ... the prices were insane. My daughter got an iceberg lettuce salad for $11.00. Iceberg lettuce! Iceberg lettuce costs like 50 cents. There was nothing else on her plate but that ... no tomatoes, no carrots, nada. She also ordered three very small meringue cookies for dessert (we didn't know the price, or we would have both left the restaurant attempting to procure second jobs). $10.00 for meringue cookies. Meringue cookies are basically hardened egg whites, also costing around 50 cents, or less. My grandmother used to make these by the hundreds, probably surviving on them during the Depression. So, I think my review, and my experience, would have been lots better had these two items cost closer to what you'd expect iceberg lettuce and a tablespoon of egg whites to cost. Our bill, for three people, was $130.00, and we were still hungry. Ouch. read more

We went here for dinner and were very excited ., the reviews mostly sounded great. We arrived at 6:30 for our reservation and were promptly seated and that was the only good thing that Happened! We waited an hour and a half just for our appetizers. It didn't seem as though there was any organization. The appetizers were only ok and we sat after that for another hour with no more food, no offer of even a bread refill and no apologies. We finally got up and left with no dinner. I have been in the service business most of my adult life and this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Extremely disappointed and will not be back! read more

First of all, we never knew when this Restaurant was open. They seem to open and close at their own discretion. The atmosphere is stunning, the service is very poor! When our food arrived there was a hair in my entree. The owner was quick to supply us with a food voucher for us to come back. Two weeks later we re-visited this establishment. I took one sip of my water and felt a sharp object in my mouth, it was a piece of glass. At that point we walked out and do NOT plan on visiting that establishment again. The service is poor, lacking refinement. The bartender was continuously checking their cell phone and obvious to their surroundings. The food arrived 30 minutes after we ordered and was cold. I would NOT recommend this place! The owners obviously have no clue as to how to run a Restaurant! I would NOT recommend this place!! We just returned from our 5th visit to Ravyn and Robyn's in the last 2 months !!!!! My girlfriend and I travel an hour EACH WAY for the superb dining experience that is Ravyn and Robyn's. The wine selection is far above standard. The food in incredible. The ambiance is unsurpassed. Service is like none other. Bobby who is the owner, goes far out of his way to insure that everyone is completely taken care of and has an enjoyable dining experience. Personable, knowledgeable and professional are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when describing Bobby. I notice that many people will just poke their head in the door and just turn and walk away. I assume that it is because with a simple glance the place looks expensive. I ASSURE you this is NOT the case. Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and average $17 or so for an entree. This is not a place to go for dinner. It IS a place to enjoy the dining experience ! read more

This could be such an incredible restaurant. The decor is lovely and the location great with ample parking, so it has potential to be something spectacular. The menu interesting enough that you want to try everything, but something is missing. There was no music playing. There was no air conditioning in the main dining room, however there are 3 television sets going which are quite distracting and not very appealing if this place is to be considered fine dining. The eggplant app we ordered was great, however the additional app we ordered--meatballs--were VERY small--almost what you'd expect to see when you crack open a can of spaghettio's. The waiter tried very hard, but forgot to introduce himself nor did he welcome us. The owner--I think that's who she was--seemed annoyed whenever a customer would walk in, and failed to stop at our table to welcome us--which would have been a nice touch since we waited close to an hour for our dinner to arrive--and was walking back forth clearing tables and seating guests in a sports tank top and shorts! This is supposed to be fine dining, so armpits should not be seen by dining guests! And if she says she was only wearing that because the restaurant was hot, then she should have told me that when I had called to make the reservation, or put a sign up on the door or at least offer us a fan or drink or an apology for the place being so hot. While I can appreciate that each dish is carefully made-to-order, we were hoping to be served amazing food based on the menu descriptions, prices of entrees, and the incredibly long time we waited. Incredible entrees they were not. At our table of 4, we ordered the Linguini Carbonara, the Basketweaved shrimp risotto, Veal parm and Basketweaved fresh pasta w/seafood something or other. The Carbonara was disgustingly runny with yolk and practically devoid of the Parmeasan cheese which may have thickened up the sauce and is usually part of a traditional recipe--and should never be served on a cold plate!. The Basketweaved Shrimp risotto was a basket of burnt provolone cheese with a scoop of risotto and 3 small shrimp thrown on it. Missing from this dish was creamy risotto--it was just a step above regular rice or just low quality arroborio rice--and rather than a seafood flavor, the 'risotto' was flavored with citrus--so it was an overpowering flavor of charred crispy burnt provolone cheese and lemon-orange rice with 3 small shrimp--It was a weird concoction for sure. The Basketweaved fresh pasta with seafood was something altogether unidentifiable. We thought the pasta may have been bits and pieces of different leftover pasta all chopped up with unidentifiable seafood bits and scooped into the pretty provolone baked bowl. The veal was of very poor quality. The restaurant was so hot, and meal so awful, we practically laughed when the waiter asked if we wanted dessert. We couldn't wait to get out of there and go somewhere else for ice cream. Oh, and the 'something missing' I mentioned early on is decent management. read more

My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times. I'm sorry to say that our last experience was not good! What has kept us going back were all the special touches that we would experience during our visits...and of course the food! In the past, shortly after being seated, we would receive a small tasty appetizer as a gift from the chef. What a nice way to start the evening. During our last visit, nothing. In addition, we were always served a complimentary after dinner drink. During our last visit, nothing. Also, I was a bit appalled by the staff and their lack of professionalism. Most of them were running around like chickens with their heads cut off but not accomplishing much. At one point I asked for a small bowl to put some olive oil and balsamic in for dipping my bread. I was told "we don't do that anymore". Since when does a customer get denied when asking for a bowl? I asked a different waitress who promptly presented me with a bowl. Another issue that I thought needed attention was the way some of the waitstaff were dressed. There was one waitress that was wearing what looked like a tennis skirt with an American Flag tank top (which was almost see through), a sports bra and a pair of sneakers. Another was wearing what looked like a pair of bathing suit trunks and a dirty t-shirt. My issue is...don't advertise that you are a "fine dining" restaurant and then run the place like a diner. I miss the old restaurant and the special treatment that we received. I miss the special little touches that we were accustomed to. They should thank their lucky stars that they have an excellent chef. If it wasn't for the food remaining outstanding, this place would have been rated a one star. Both my stars go to the chef! Myself and friends went to Ravyn and Robyn for dinner this week. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress poured about 3 inches of wine into my wine glass and then stopped and said that there was a chip in my glass. She took the glass of wine and brought me a new empty wine glass. She never offered to replace the wine that she threw away or discount the bottle price. I then ordered off of the specials menu as did one of my friends. I ordered a mushroom risotto which was listed on the specials menu for $21 and my friend ordered a pasta dinner which was listed on the specials menu for $15. My risotto was incredibly salty. Way over salted. ( my friend enjoyed his pasta dinner however). When the bill came we were charged $26 for the risotto and $17 for the pasta dinner. I took the bill over to the waitress and pointed at the specials menu and asked why the prices were higher on the bill. She stated that it was her fault and took the bill. She later came back and put the new bill on the table without saying a word. She never came back to the table after that and when we left did not acknowledge us. A very negative experience. read more
