    Rayne vs. tap water

Last month, Rayne delivered a water softening canister and that evening while I was cooking dinner, I noticed the water was disgustingly cloudy. It was so bad I called our neighbors to see if their water was bad, but they said their water was fine. The next day I called Rayne. They said that someone would call me about the cloudiness, but they never did. Our water was OK the next day after we ran the tap for a few minutes. Yesterday, a new tank was supposed to be delivered, but Rayne skipped us. I called Rayne this AM. They apologized for skipping us and a new tank now has been delivered. A delivery date is stamped on each tank so that you can check it. I wonder how many other deliveries have been skipped and I didn't know it? This new tank has incredibly cloudy water. Bad customer service x2!

I am very satisfied with Rayne's customer service, from the office staff, including Marisol, Alisa, Vanessa and anyone who has helped me by hone over the past few years, have ALL been very courteous and professional getting my concerns addressed quickly without any problems. My driver, Tony, is beyond great! He knows my pup's name and greets Jax whenever I forget the day of delivery and Tony is KIND enough to take the time to knock my door to let me know that he is there to switch the tank! Many other companies would just leave a note saying, 'sorry we missed you'. Not Rayne: Not Tony! That's why I don't forget about them when I bake my Christmas cookies, I usually drop off a little bag of them for the staff to enjoy. They should know that they ARE appreciated! Thanks Rayne!

I hired Anacapa Plumbing for a residential plumbing project at my property, and unfortunately my…read moreexperience was very disappointing in the areas of management, scheduling, communication, and billing. To start, the work was scheduled to begin on a Monday between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. I already was not thrilled with such a large arrival window, but I accepted it. What was not acceptable was that no one showed up and no one called. I rearranged my morning and ended up being late to my own job for no reason. There were also repeated communication failures during the project. At one point, I was told the water would be shut off on a Monday, so I had my renters make plans to be away so they would not be inconvenienced by having no water. Monday came and went, and the water was never shut off. Apparently their plans had changed, but no one communicated that to us. When they finally did shut the water off, it was handled in a way that created a completely unnecessary burden. On one occasion, the guest house was without water all day and overnight. On a different day, the main house was also without water all day and overnight. In my opinion, this was avoidable. I had already run the main line to both houses. They only needed to run piping from those lines to the water heaters. That work should have been staged so everything else was prepped first, with the final tie-ins done once the glue had cured, keeping the water interruption to maybe an hour or two. Instead, two families were significantly inconvenienced, and the attitude I got was that this was standard and no big deal. Another issue was professionalism on site. One of the workers was loudly yelling and swearing in the crawlspace, including repeated profanity. This was not a vacant construction site. This is a home where people live. I was grateful my wife and kids were not around to hear it. After the plumbing work was completed, I finished enclosing the relocated washer and dryer area by framing, insulating, and drywalling the space. When I finally hooked up the machines and ran a load of laundry, the room flooded because water backed up and poured out of the in-wall washing machine drain. I called Anacapa Plumbing, and since this happened just a couple of days after they finished the job, I expected a prompt and professional response. I was told someone would come that afternoon. No one came. Then I was told they would send someone the next day. A plumber eventually came while I was at work, stayed about an hour, and left without any communication. Hours later, I still had no idea whether the problem had been fixed or whether it was safe to use the washing machine. I had to call and leave a message to find out. Later I was told it was okay to use, followed by a $270 bill for that visit. The billing was another major issue. The original estimate was around $15,000. The final bill came in at about $20,000, plus the additional $270. That is roughly a 25% increase with no meaningful communication, warning, or explanation during the job. In fairness, I did add a small amount to the scope by having them run about 25 feet of hot and cold PEX with two shutoff valves, but I do not believe that justifies an extra $5,000. For context, I am a General Contractor and have been for 18 years. I often try out subcontractors on my own properties before using them on residential client projects. Anacapa Plumbing was one of several companies recommended to me locally. Based on this experience, I would not use them again, and I would not recommend them to others. P.S. Thorn was nice and a good worker.

We put in the order with Brad, scheduled an appointment for installation and our installer was Maurice. These guys know what they are doing and they made it very easy for us. The set the expectations and we didn't have to do anything. It took us about a couple hours where we couldn't use the water but then all we had to do is flush out the air from the new system. It's the third day now and everything is working great. WHY WE CHANGED: Just got tired of increasing monthly rates and having to open the garage for the techs to switch out the tanks. From the very first phone call, Brad was responsive and promptly returned my call. When he came out to assess my home and provide an estimate, he took the time to thoroughly educate me on my water quality and the available solutions. I left that visit feeling much more informed and confident in my decision-making. After comparing a couple of other quotes, I decided to go with Pro Water Solutions--and I'm glad I did. Brad's knowledge really stood out. He tested my water, along with the bottled and filtered water we had been using, and the results were honestly shocking. Installation was scheduled and completed in less than a week after I gave the go-ahead. Daniel, the installer, was excellent--professional, detail-oriented, and made sure everything fit perfectly. He also walked me through the entire system and made sure I understood how to use it. Overall, a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Sediment filters are standard. Carbon filters have been around for decades, and the TAC 3rd filter is not proprietary and has long been part of ALL quality home filtration system. What makes it even more irate than the price is how they promise something like free filter replacement one year from the day of initial installation. When I called 14 months after the initial installation, they refused to change it. The service Rep David who showed up initially told me it was a good idea to replace them after using a hand held tester he used to test the water. But then he also added that I had to pay $350 to replace them. Then I showed him the proof that it was supposed to be included. He then removed the filters and claimed he "could tell" they didn't need to be replaced". I asked him how would he know when he didn't test it for particles, chemicals, etc? I even told him that I am getting hard water deposits on the shower glass all the time now. He still insisted that he "could tell". Instead the service rep blamed it on the sales rep over-promising. Then when I called headquarters, they asked for proof in writing. I provided the proof that was in writing from the receipt I had. Guess what. Now they don't respond to that and I am just ignored. Please save yourself 4x the money. Contact Kind Water System, iSpring, Aquasana Rhino, 3M Aqua-Pure, or others. Saves you a lot of money and saves you the headache of trying to make them keep their written promises. Even when they came to install the system, they created the bigger water leak which I didn't realize until over 3 months after the install. I paid a plumber to fix which cost me $450. Of course they didn't accept responsibility for it. By the way, the filters are generic size so I don't even need their servicing. I had just wanted them to service what they promised (in writing) after a year. I will not be ever contacting them for a service call either because they charge $350 for annual changing of filters when I can buy them for $90 generic, and just $200 for premium generic. In summary: 1 star for - improper install (water leakage) - not even honoring their written service agreement - overcharging by far (4x the cost of other company initial install) - blaming other people in organization for problems (not my fault attitude) They are the biggest company but they are also the biggest rip off.

If you own your home, investing in a good system can improve resale value. After a lot of research and discussions with several service providers, we went with Pure Water Filtration. Brandon came to the house and designed a system that would work with our plumbing situation. Unlike others who came by, he recognized a potential issue and offered a reasonable solution. He did not try to upsell us (again, unlike others). They use Clack Systems, so there is no lock-in to a particular system. Maintenance is minimal (add "salt" every so often). Brandon and his assistant showed up for installation as planned. With minimal fuss, the unit was installed within a couple of hours. We went about 90 minutes without water. Once the unit started functioning, the difference was immediately noticeable. Service, price, and performance are why you should choose Pure Water Filtration. We could not be happier.
