Food-Ribeye n Asparagus, PERFECT. Service-prompt, courteous, friendly, engaging. Ambiance- upscale but not snobby. Accommodating.

Started in the bar for happy hour and enjoyed martinis and oysters. Fun bartenders! Headed to our table for more great service and outstanding food!

I've had mixed experiences here. One time it was fantastic the other it was meh with a fantastic price tag! Make no mistake this is a steak house. Dark wood, low lighting, white table clothes... all the way to the waiters in suits. The first time i came here was for a work dinner and everything from the aps to the desert was pretty good. Steaks cooked right, the aps were good, and even the desert was a nice finish. This time I came with the family and everything was second rate... the aps were off? The steak just ok, the service poor, and the price was still out of site! I know it can happen with any place but with what they charge... they really need to hit the mark consistently!

Honestly we didn't have the highest expectations based on reviews however we were very well taken care of by the staff for my dad's birthday dinner. Very friendly servers and service manager, delicious food that isn't at outrageous prices and decent drinks. You aren't going to break the bank compared to other steakhouses, you'll spend a good amount of money but get good food in return that shouldn't disappoint you.

This experience was very different than my first one. My first experience was with a gentleman from the islands and I was very excited to come back. But this experience was like night and day. Luanne was my server and she wasn't attentive at all. My friend got stuck in traffic and she was good while it was just me but when my friend came I barely saw her and was unable to get help. My steak was very over cooked and I wasn't able to get her attention for that until about 25 mins later. My friend finished her entire meal. I couldn't get my water refilled, it took forever to get the Check. It was honestly very off putting and I didn't even get to have dinner because by the time I was able to flag her down it was time for us to leave. To say I was disappointed would be an under statement

Last time I was here and reviewed was over 1 year ago. I couldn't wait to comeback so tonight I was finally ready for another amazing meal. On the night of 9/4/24 our waiter Thomas, Tom as we called him was amazing/attentive and just everything you could want in a server/waiter. We were told Tom was new to the staff but will soon be a bartender here at Ray's on killer creek, I'm gonna have to be sure to catch a happy hour. For dinner I had the scallop/ and husband had the ny strip with creole bbq shrimp. Once again fantastic meal/ and amazing server.

    Birthday Brunch Celebration

This place was very crowded upon arrival which to me signaled that making a reservation beforehand was definitely a smart move. The birthday crew pulled up to celebrate my cousin's bday during Sunday brunch. The brunch is $50/pp and is well worth it! They had all the classic dishes (eggs, bacon, pastries) PLUS a few specialty items like Sone grits, shrimp and grits, crab cakes and made-to-order omelettes! My favorite part of the buffet (excluding bottomless mimosas) was the designated staff member solely responsible for cutting the steak! French toast was a little too sweet but the peach cobbler was truly to die for! For it to be our waiter's (Marcelo) first brunch service, he did extremely we'll. He kept the mimosas coming and even did a little something special for the birthday girl during checkout. **Shoutout to no gratuity being added! I understand the need but also personally hate being bullied into tipping! ‍** The manager came to our table to check in twice during the meal and even sung HBD with us! The outside eating area seemed dated to me and you could see cobwebs in the rafters. Although some of the windows had that dingy film on them, I could see the view's potential. There were also fans going so the heat wasn't unbearable. Cute spot overall but hard to beat Ray's On The River imo. Excited for you to try it out. Let me know what you think!

Visited this restaurant for a wedding rehearsal lunch and the experience was impeccable! We had a very large party and the staff was very attentive and extremely nice. The event room they had us in was extremely clean and very well decorated with soft lighting all over. Our waitress gave us the best recommendations for wines and the pre selected meal consisting steak, beans, and potatoes was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and I will be back.

Drew was our waiter and he truly made us feel like we were his only table. He had water and iced tea refills as soon as and even before our glasses were empty. Here's what we got: - Yeast Rolls ($8): Excellent, especially with the butter. Still dreaming of these. - Lump Crab Cake ($29): Pretty good. Note that the salsas had a kick to them. - Blue Fin Tuna Crudo ($28): Nothing to write home about. The chili was spicy. - French Onion Soup ($15): Just as good as we remembered it from last time. - Tasting for Two ($209): The filet and spinalis were delicious. The first time we went to Bask, the wagyu was exceptional. This time, it was the fattier part of the cut and sadly didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. - Scallops ($50): Absolutely delicious. The arroz verde cremosa was soo good. Decent portion too. - Seafood Mac & Cheese ($20): Came with lobster and shrimp. Suuuuper good, cheesy, and creamy. - Broiled Asparagus ($15): Seriously amazing. The best asparagus I've ever had. We were celebrating an anniversary and they let us choose a dessert on the house. We got the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding (normally $14). Sadly, it was just meh. We got the Colossal Cosmonaut Cookie last time, which was out of this world. Definitely get the cookie and skip the bread pudding.

That didn't take away from the overall experience though. The elk carpaccio was amazing! Our Caesar salad was good but just a standard Caesar, we could've done without it to make room for all the other yummy things! We ended up getting the steak dinner for two which included A5 Wagyu, filet and spinalis. The wagyu was melt in your mouth! Outside the Wagyu, I preferred the filet and my husband preferred the spinalis. The restaurant is a typical upscale steakhouse vibe. Very classy place with good mood lighting and casual music. The bar area was also really nice. It's located in a shopping center so not somewhere you would think you would find a nice restaurant!

First, we got the feeling the server was over eager to sell us a bottle of wine. My partner doesn't drink, so he opted for water and I opted for a half bottle. It was a bit pushy, but we payed it no mind. Once brought out and poured, I moved the bottle further as to not accidentally knock it over and I guess by habit closed the bottle, then proceeded to the salad bar. The server came to find me in line to ask why I've moved the bottle, then proceeded to tell me that the wine needs to breathe so he'll re-open the bottle. Personally didn't need a lecture on how wine needs to breathe, I'm well aware, nor do I find it appropriate to chase me down in line over it, but okay I let it go as well and thanked him for his help. Everything else was great, until the check came. I guess there was an issue with the card we used and different server very discretely brought it to our attention. Of course we're embarrassed, but grateful for the discreetness. Mind you, we've been here many times and have never had any issues before, just inadvertently gave an old card. I grabbed my purse to provide a different card and the initial server decided to comment loudly to my partner something about where'd you get lucky enough to find her as if to say women don't pay. I was shocked and mortified! At that point I simply replied that it all comes out of the same accounts anyway, just a different name on the card. The comment was well beyond inappropriate, brought attention unnecessarily, and was absolutely unwarranted. At least we've been together for more than a decade, I can't even imagine if this was someone's first date! We didn't need to offer an explanation, but at that point we just wanted to be done and get out as quickly as possible. We'll likely dine here again, but definitely hope we never come across this particular server again.

We started with martinis and (how can you mess up a martini) the olives had no flavor, and we asked for more vermouth because the martinis tasted watered down, which was strange. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet sauvignon, which was good. We ordered the mussels appetizer, which was very tasty and served with French fries, also tasty. My husband ordered the steak au poivre, which was full of gristle, so he sent it back. I ordered the Morel pasta dish, which our waitress recommended. This dish was not good at all. The mushrooms were diced tiny with some strange flavor, which I couldn't eat, so I sent this back! My husband then ordered the scallops, which were very good. I ordered the Baratta which came with sourdough bread. The Baratta was good, but there was about a half cup of chopped parsley on the plate, which was very odd. It was like a parsley salad, which is inedible. Parsley should be used as a garnish or a sprinkle as a flavoring, not as a main component like a salad. I didn't say anything to the waitress, because I was tired of complaining. We were very disappointed in this restaurant and will not be returning.

Save room for dessert!…read more The food at Foundation Eatery was exceptional. As a self-described foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that offer creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes with plenty of variety. Foundation exceeded every expectation. I ordered every dish the staff recommended, and each one was outstanding. Julio provided attentive, knowledgeable service, and you can tell Chef Mel and his wife, Sandy, have poured their hearts into every aspect of the dining experience. Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and an environment where every detail matters, Foundation Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back. PS. I can't believe they have a burger on the menu. I'd try that based on everything else!

Lots of options for those who love the fishery part of the concept and just as many choices for those that don't. We ordered the bruschetta and enjoyed their take that used fig jam, prosciutto and balsamic glaze instead of the more traditional tomato base. They have house made focaccia that when brought to the table we instantly regretted having ordered the bruschetta, thinking we overdid the bread thing. But we both quickly changed our minds and consumed both with little guilt... I would go back just for the focaccia alone and wish they sold it by the loaf! Pastas are made onsite but they get the gluten free version from a different supplier to avoid risk of cross contamination. Hubby had the wild boar pasta. I had the pork chop. My chop was perfectly grilled and moist. I asked for the marsala sauce on the side since I don't like mushrooms themselves, but enjoy the flavor they can add. The weakest link was the mashed potatoes, served in two round scoops reminiscent of school cafeteria lines. Other than the shape, there was nothing memorable nor particularly flavorful about them. Next time I would try a different side and keep the chop. We didn't save room for dessert this time but will definitely get some next time. And there will definitely be a next time. The vibe here was buzzing on a Friday evening which seemed promising. We opted to sit at the bar which I do NOT recommend if you plan on eating. It is extremely tight seating and the bartenders aren't not trained to serve food or have menu knowledge. The lack of the kitchen staff culinary skills became evident when looking at the menu with many seafood/pasta items being served with one sauce- a goopy cornstarch'ish lemon butter sauce. We wanted to try the scampi appetizer with their house made pasta - sans dairy which meant no lemon butter sauce. That seemed to throw a wrench and there was much back and forth between the BT to the kitchen explaining what that meant aka do not cook the food with butter use olive oil- not so complicated, right? 30 minutes later - despite the kitchen staff not being busy- reminder, we are sitting at the bar and watch the cooks looking at their cellphones instead of working... The small portion of a couple shrimp and scallops arrive. They were panned seared- highly seasoned but tasty. Pasta arrived dry ? Huh? Who serves dry pasta- ugh? I asked for olive oil again which never appeared despite a manager hearing the request. So, moving along, we decided to try the calamari. It came out much faster but the portion was enough for 8-10 people. BT- oh, I forgot to tell you it is such a large portion... Maybe offer a half portion? It was okay- nothing amazing except the quantity. So disappointed- we had high hopes that the vibe matched the food quality.
