My grandpa Frank LOVED this spot. He passed away last year in August and haven't mustered up the courage to go back. Today I did. Let me tell you why this place deserves more than 5 stars. This establishment has the most friendliest people. Everytime Frank came in they treated him so kindly. They threw in extra donuts and that made his week! During Covid they would take them to his car door when he would pull up. Service is #1 for them and he had to have his weekly pickup. The donuts ARE fresh and yummy. No staleness at all here! The sandwhiches are also elite. The ambiance is a clean, very simple building. Nothing fancy but what makes up the personality is the people of this place. Eating a donut in memory of my grandpa Frank today!

Can I just scream WOW!!? We made a quick stop to grab some donuts to go. When I say the service is fast, it's fast! We were in and out within 4 mins. As soon as you open the door you can smell the donuts. The gentleman handling the register was very patient as my kids picked out which donut they wanted. I got the maple bacon donut. It was moist, fresh and so fluffy. Ray's donut #2 is far for me but will definitely be the only place I'll be getting donuts whenever I'm in the area.

They get super busy during Friday-Sunday so sometimes there can be delays but Ray's Donuts are worth it! Assorted donuts and half dozen donuts are half the price when compared to Krispy Kreme and Dunkin. If you want a wide selection of donuts, get there before 9am especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. ATTENTION*** They sell out quick and will have limited options so get there early!

Delicious! I've been in GA almost 5 years now and had NO idea that there was a Lamar's donuts. I'm from Kansas City, MO and we love Lamar's. Haha. Donuts were soft and delicious. I didn't care much for the sugar donut, but the others were delicious!!

Basic to say the least. Your typical hole in the wall donut spot where everyone in the neighbourhood flocks because of location. It took me a minute to figure out their exact location because they share they property with an Exxon gas station. The signs on their side of the building were old and out of date. The photo i posted shows them with white masking tape blocking the old donut prices (lol). I personally thought this was distasteful from a business point of view. This did not stop their doors from swinging in on the right and out on the left. I waited a few more moments to see what the constant patronage was all about from my vehicle. It was just before lunch time and i was certain the selection was limited close to "none". As i walked in i don't recall an area for seating. From the looks of it everyone who made a purchase went right back in their car and used it as a dining room. As i walked in there was a very kind woman behind the counter that offered me help. I purchased a glazed donut and a plain doughnut with chocolate icing, grabbed napkins and proceeded back to my car. I had about a 45 minute drive until i reached my destination so i had managed to try one while driving. It was ok as i mentioned before. Basic donut spot with basic flavours Rays appears to be the only spot out this far that comes highly recommended. It did not impress me as much. I will continue my quest for the perfect donut as i reach out to areas that are new to me. Until then, happy yelping #relaxyourdonut

This place was highly rated and recommended by others so I was truly disappointed when I came. We came at 8:30am and quit a bit of donuts were gone and they are definitely not fresh. It's sad when I feel like Dukin Donuts or Krispy Kreme would of been better. I didn't even finish these donuts because they weren't worth the calories. They are small and taste like old oil that needs to be changed. The coffee is super weak. The customer service was the only thing good and the fact that I only wasted $8. If you want real donuts and support small businesses go to Sweet Apple off a McGinnis Ferry or Sarah's.

Recently tried this on the way to Atlanta and it was easy to get to off of 85. Don't let the outside fool you (if you are into aesthetically pleasing joints). They had a good variety of donuts which were fresh and absolutely delicious! I also got a breakfast croissant while my husband got the breakfast burrito - both were also very good. Appears to be family owned and the service was good. We live about 35 minutes from here but will gladly go out of our way to make it back here soon. read more

Ray's Donuts may be a small donut shop in a gas station, but it's the best damn donut shop I've ever been to. they close at 12:00pm, though, so you gotta go earlier for fresher donuts. their famous maple bacon donut isn't for me, but there's other people that like it, and i respect that. My favorite donuts from here would be: - Bavarian creme - glazed (a true classic) - strawberry iced - chocolate iced - sugar twists overall, this place is worth the hype. i can see why there's 4 locations spread around here. this place basically has a local cult following. After being told that I must experience the deliciousness that is known as the maple bacon donut from Ray's Donuts #2, I had no choice...and I must say, Ray's does not disappoint. The donut shop is a side by side store front next door to a gas station and gets good morning traffic. Do what you do well and they will come is a truism with respect to Ray's. The shop is very clean and the employees greet you warmly immediately upon entrance. Ray's has a nice selection of donuts on display at the front counter and all of which look fresh and delicious. We elected to try, the maple bacon, strawberry & cream cheese filled, chocolate covered sour cream cake donut & regular cake donut. Each and every one was delicious! The favorite was...you guessed it, maple bacon!! These little circular pieces of heaven were a perfect balance of sweet maple glaze and savory bacon (perfectly cooked and crumbled to the perfect size to stick to the maple glaze) atop an airy, fresh and light donut! No misses here because the other donuts were delicious too! You cannot go wrong at Ray's, which also has a nice menu including more items such as breakfast burritos and many other taste test worthy morning pick me ups! Don't take my word for it...or do, but either way, do yourself a favor and head to Ray's! read more

The best, cheapest, and freshest donuts! You can't beat ray's, I love this place. Donuts are about 90 cents each and made fresh everyday. They're so light and fluffy and delicately crispy, not overpoweringly sweet either. Also support local!! Krispy Kreme has nothing on this place! read more

Great place! ALWAYS OPEN except for Mondays.....pretty easy to read the hours listed on the door. Donuts are FRESH....you literally can see the staff making them in the back (opens up on the side behind the counter).Breakfast burrito's & sandwiches are amazing!! Trust me....this place stays plenty busy and is always popping....been here for awhile so they must be doing something right.....puts Dunkin to Shame. Staff will also make a donut custom for you if there is a glaze you do not see (within reason). Great Friendly Staff!! read more

Ray's is a mixed bag. The doughnuts are pretty good. The maple bacon is dry. The blueberry cake or devil's food glazed is quite good. Don't be tempted to try their bagels -- they are made there, but aren't as good as others (and only offer plain cream cheese). Surprisingly, their croissants are very good. Like "is this the same place that just sold me that bagel" kind of good. In the end, skip the bagels, try some doughnuts, drive across town for a croissant. read more

Not the best donut but not the worst. Taste funny due to the oil used. Possibly one large store might do better so there's more attention to taste and detail. Very hard to drive to (124hwy). Always a bad location. read more

We are new to the Dacula area and were excited to try the local donut shop! I was ready to LOVE this shop...I mean, who doesn't love a shop dedicated to donuts!? I can honestly say that they make a mean apple fritter and have a really great variety. (Here comes the but) But some of their donuts were really bland to down-right tasteless (red velvet donut). Another downer was the staff, they looked tortured to be working there and no smiles the whole time we were in there. I guess I just like happy people serving donuts...it's DONUTS! We live close enough that I will probably give them another shot or 2, but will just be aware of what donuts to steer away from. read more

I'm pretty biased when it comes to donuts. Before moving to Dacula I had fond memories of a local donut shop where I used to live near San Francisco. That donut shop was always on the list of top 50 donut shops in the nation. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this little donut shop attached to a gas station. The donuts are always fresh, the service is friendly and the prices are right. My favorite by far were the apple fritters. They do not hold back on the apples. The dough is not greasy to the touch when you eat it, and the glaze is perfectly uniform across the fritter. I'd put it up against the fritters at the old donut shop I used to frequent any day! If you haven't grabbed a donut at Ray's, you really need too! read more

Aw man, the bear claws are so clutch and today I had the opportunity to try one of their breakfast croissants and it was AH-MAZING! For 3.75, I got a giant croissant with a fresh egg, grilled ham, bacon, and delicious melts cheese. It was a great portion and made for an excellent start to my day! Their donuts are, of course, wonderful and they have a great assortment of flavors and types always available. They serve hot coffee as well as lots of different kinds of bottled drinks. It may look like a gas station restaurant but it's a fabulous hidden gem that's WAY more worth it than Dunkin' Donuts or something similar. Three cheers and five stars for Ray's!! read more

Stopped in here a handful of times. Sometimes to bring a dozen into the office, or sometimes just me and my son. Very friendly staff, but the donuts! Whether it's a traditional style or a bacon maple donut, you'll want to go back for more. read more

The staff had such beautiful spirits. They provided excellent service and were quick to make sure anything we needed was taken care of. I do wish I had ordered some of their food options but the Blueberry, Strawberry, and Honey Matcha were good, even better with a few extra pumps of syrup. It's a nice space for studying or catching up with friends, and they have an outdoor seating area to enjoy, once the weather gets warmer. I appreciated the small touches inspirational quotes on their to-go beverages, mugs, wall art, and table decor. They created an environment that was both organized and joyful. I would definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.
