What a breath of fresh air walking into Ray's Key & Lock for the first time. Cassidy was so helpful and knowledgeable on the subject of older european automotive keys, which is what I was there for. Well that mostly but the two fobs for my newer daily driver needed their batteries replaced, and once again Cassidy was well versed in my car's fobs and got them both renewed for a fraction of what the dealer wanted. After calling several locksmiths listed on google and yelp, this was the first of only two to actually provide upfront information about pricing and availability WITHOUT asking for the address where we might want the service. I am not sure why other similar businesses insisted on trying to get me to reveal the home address but I found that very unnerving. The young man that came arrived promptly, introduced himself, provided verification of who he was and that he was a locksmith. He reiterated the same pricing that was provided over the phone -- which was very fair given the quotes I had received were either very vague or there was a real upswell due to the city the locks needed to be rekeyed in. Anyways the work was done efficiently and without any issues. The #of keys we requested were provided and all tested out just fine. I bought a Baldwin Electronic Deadbolt and selected Ray's Key & Lock to install it because they had good reviews and were close. I've installed deadbolts myself but this appeared complicated. Henry came and did the installation. He was very careful to get the alignment correct so the deadbolt open & closed smoothly, and did all the necessary setup/programming carefully and efficiently. I asked if he had installed these before and he had. It turns out his Dad started the company and Henry used to go to job sites when he was a young kid and learned about all the different types of locks.
