So, this was my second time coming in for my birthday. Service did not match the last time I was in, which is unfortunate that there is inconsistent service here. Our service was pretty slow. It took the waiter forever for anything. He was pretty forgetful. He was nice, but slow. I got the petit filet, and I asked for medium rare. Everyone at the table did. We all seem to have gotten steaks that were medium-to well done. Mashed potatoes were bland. Rolls, mac n cheese, and bruschetta was good! Also, it's really humid inside. Not sure if it's because we were sitting by a door....but I kinda remember this the last time I was there. The view is gorgeous!

Excellent service. Food was delicious- cowboy ribeye, braised short rib, Caesar salad and crab cake, lemon butter cake and crème brulee. Has zero proof cocktails as well. The view is spectacular! Perfect place for a special occasion meal!

We decided on dinner here while visiting Atlanta. This place was incredible and our service was impeccable. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. They did everything right! The food. Wowsers!! So fantastic. Definitely a place to check out while in Atlanta!

We had reservations at 5:45, perfectly timed ahead of the evening rush, and once again Rays at the River delivered an incredible experience. This was our second visit, and it's clear this place knows how to make every evening feel special. For drinks, the fig old fashioned was a standout--smooth, balanced, and full of flavor. Our daughter enjoyed a classic burger piled high with shoestring fries, while Nicole and I tackled the seafood platter for four (yes, for four!) and happily annihilated every bite. To finish, the butter cake was decadent and paired beautifully with two pours of Angel Falls bourbon. A huge shoutout to our host, Mike, who was extremely accommodating and seemed to know exactly how to elevate the night. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made the evening feel effortless and memorable. Rays at the River has now impressed us twice, and we can confidently say it's always a fun, flavorful, and welcoming experience. We'll absolutely be back again soon!

Ray's on the River delivered an amazing experience from start to finish. We went on a Friday night and sat at the bar, and everyone, from the staff to the other guests, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our bartender was fantastic. She checked on us often and gave great recommendations. We ordered the Wagyu filet, ahi tuna, and also shared a Caesar salad, which was fresh, well-balanced, and a great way to start the meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. I started with a classic Old Fashioned, which was excellent. I did venture into the holiday cocktail menu and tried the Jingle Juice, which wasn't quite my favorite, so I happily went back to the Old Fashioned. The atmosphere really tied everything together. There was live music playing in the background, the football game was on, and the Christmas decor was top-notch, making the whole night feel festive and fun. Great food, great drinks, great service, and an overall fantastic vibe.

Rays is a fine dining experience all around. No short cuts. A little disappointed when my wife's grouper came out undercooked. No big deal, they took it back and re made her dish, but didn't bother to take it off the check. A little surprising since everyone else at the table was almost finished before she got her re made dish. The food and service were excellent though.

Came for the v-day pre-fix menu. Food was great as usual. There was live music which created a peaceful ambiance. The staff was helpful but a bit busy as it was a holiday. We booked it weeks before and then a week before the valentine's day they shared it was pre-fix. A bit disappointing since it was too late to try and book somewhere else.

Ray's on the River was absolutely beautiful for Valentine's Day. The river view from our table inside set the perfect romantic vibe for me and my wife, and the atmosphere was intimate and classy. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly, and the service made us feel special all night. It was the perfect place to celebrate love, and we'll definitely be back.

I made it to this Atlanta fixture in the restaurant scene. Open since the 80s they still have IT! My birthday club decided on this restaurant to celebrate one of the members birthday and it was the perfect choice. Walking into the restaurant we were by beautiful understated decor. But the view of the river was so peaceful. I got there early and initially had a drink at the bar. The golden hour was mixed perfectly. Not too sweet, just how I like it. At lunch what stood out for me was the grouper.... So moist and the crust so crunchy and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the pimento cheese fritters, so yummy. The servers there were professional, knowledgeable and very warm and hospitable. The team also brought out a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl! We truly appreciate that. Things to know: post dinner take a walk to the river there is seating for guest. Great way to wind down post dinner. Also there is lots of free parking on site.

We had a reservation for a Friday night at 8:15, very easy to get a reservation through open table. We get to the restaurant at 8:20, complimentary valet (super nice!) however we then had to wait for our table which I would expect it to already be ready by the time we got there. The service was nice, however I expected a little more considered the atmosphere of the restaurant and comparing it to other restaurants of the same caliber in the area. Our server, Will, was great! I was celebrating an anniversary and we got a free dessert and he did a phenomenal job taking photos. We ordered the rolls, mac and cheese, lobster tails, and mahi. The mahi was not really great, I got it grilled and it tasted very fishy, this could be a mistake on my part but alas I still did not really enjoy it. The Mac and cheese was too liquidy for my liking, I think baking it would be better. The rolls were delicious and so were the lobster tails. I had a good night, our table was well dressed and prepared and the valet people were very nice and speedy. However, at a restaurant of this caliber with these prices, I expected more. 3.5/5 There is also a pretty outdoor area that adds for a great atmosphere, this restaurant biggest strength.

Came here for a date night, and we were treated so well. Our server was excellent! So knowledgeable of the menu, patient with us as we made our decisions, and gave us an experience that we've never had with people in Atlanta. The food itself wasn't bad, but it was just okay. I got a crab cake. It was pretty good, but nothing special. I liked the sauce that it sat on. Same with the mac and cheese. The Brussels were underwhelming to me. A little too soggy for my liking. Wish they had a little more of a glaze but every restaurant is different. This is definitely a cute date night spot that overlooks the Chattahooche river. My stars are more for the service and experience than the food. The service, a 5, the food, 3.5.

We were seated right away for our reservation which was a birthday celebration! Beautiful ambiance with a fantastic view of the Chattahoochee. Ken our server introduced himself and took drink orders. We had a large party of 10 so he placed that an told us about the specials and made suggestions for appetizers for our table. We opted for the hot tower which had a mix of several items.. lobster bites, bbq shrimp, fried calamari, chargrilled oysters and crab cakes. While we waited for those we placed our entire orders. Overall food was good, portions were generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. My only issue was that my poached eggs on the lobster Benny were overdone. I got a complimentary dessert for two birthdays in our party and if I needed an excuse to come back that lemon butter cake with the blueberry compote and vanilla ice cream would be it. Omg!! 1000% delicious yum After brunch we headed outside to the garden for some group pictures. A fantastic end to a great dining experience!

Is there a vegan menu available?

Are kids allowed here?

Of course.

Is the outdoor seating in late November heated and/or covered?

Both last year! Give them a call to confirm. Thanks.

I've been calling for one week now, I even left a couple messages with my name and telephone number that I need a reservation for Friday... And I've gotten no response.?

Make a reservation on open table

Is the outdoor seating area heated? Wondering if it will be too uncomfortable in December?

They have Outdoor Seating, but I am not sure if it is being used or Heated.

I didn't see any desserts listed on your website. I was told your restaurant sells Baked Alaska. Is that true?

Definitely desserts! My favorite is something like chocolate fudge brownie. Yummy. Not sure about baked Alaska.

Do they offer a happy hour at bar or patio for river view & drinks?

Traditionally, how is their Easter Brunch?

It is awesome. Anytime they do their buffet it is probably the best I ever had. I do their Mother's Day and Thanksgiving buffets every year. It is worth every penny!

Do you need a reservation?

No but you will probably wait a long time without one

Is brunch still happening on Sunday's ? How does it work out?

I would suggest calling to find out. They were doing sit down brunch but not sure if still are..

Do they serve brunch?

Yes, they have a fabulous brunch. I highly recommend it.

Do they brunch a la carte options if people in a group don't want buffet?

They do not

Is there a dress code?

Yes, Business Casual

What's the dress code on Sunday lunch time?

At all times it's Fashionably Upscale Casual. No casual shoe wear like sneakers etc.

Can someone have a wedding reception here?

Is there live music any particular day? I see it photo'd but is that a norm?

Wednesday through Saturday in the bar.

I don't really see any decent photos of brunch at this restaurant, but I've heard there is some good breakfast items. Can anyone confirm? Also, how would you compare breakfast here to Murphy's breakfast in midtown?

Murphy's is very good and the food at Ray's is comparable. Ray's has Stone Crab claws, cold Shrimp and sometimes Oysters. There is usually a Benedict, Baked Salmon, Gumbo, Stuffed Mushrooms and a plethora of entrees and salad items.… Read more

Is this a restaurant we could take a 2 year old? We don't want to ruin anyone else's dinner if she gets noisy.

Absolutely not!

Seafood awesome and how are their mixed drinks?

I had wine... a great selection... and the table had great mixed drinks

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

On this most recent visit, we started with a few appetizers like the watermelon feta salad, short rib dumplings and the beet salad. I'd pass on the beet salad; too tart. The dumplings were okay. This place is good for the seafood. On the first visit, I got the scallops and I still think about that dish; even years later. It was just done right. So buttery. This most recent visit I got the crab cocktail which was similar to a ceviche but made with crab. Oh my goodness! So damn good! The avocado and orange slices really elevated the dish. I went in with one clear goal: the filet mignon. Five of us ordered steaks, most medium-rare, but the kitchen execution was inconsistent across the table. One steak came out overcooked to well done, another was undercooked closer to rare, while mine was prepared correctly. Unfortunately, consistency was the main issue. The steaks had a good sear and flavor, but several were on the dry side. The highlights of the meal were the starters and sides. The crispy calamari was excellent and easily the standout dish. The crab dip was also well received by the table. The bread that comes with the salads deserves special mention as well, light, slightly sweet, and very fresh, melts in your mouth. The side salads were also great. For my entrée sides, the carrots were well prepared, but the brussels sprouts were undercooked and lacked seasoning, I like a little more flavor especially on my brussels. Dessert brought the meal back up. The apple-pie-ala-mode and brownie with ice cream were both excellent and a strong finish to the evening. Service throughout the night was very good. Our waiter was attentive, efficient, and quick to clear plates. He removed the dirty dishes quicker than a UPS driver working peak-season overtime. The only downside was the dim lighting, which made it a bit difficult to see clearly at times. Overall, while the appetizers, service, and desserts were strong, the inconsistency in steak preparation kept the experience from matching the price tag. Sorry Joey - 3 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, our overall experience left a very sour taste in our mouths. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 5:00 PM reservation and were seated promptly. However, we were taken to a separate back section of the restaurant that's partitioned off by curtains, making it feel more secluded from the main dining area. At the time, there were not many customers seated in the front of the restaurant. Once seated, we noticed that the only other couples in the back section were African American. My husband and I looked at each other and quietly acknowledged it. Shortly after, another couple nearby made a similar observation, and we shared an uncomfortable laugh about it. As the evening went on, each time a new party was brought into the back section, it was another Black couple. This pattern continued throughout our meal. By the time we left, the back room was about 85% Black guests, while the front dining room appeared to be about 90% white guests. It felt very intentional in terms of who was being seated where. Whether or not that was the restaurant's intention, the perception and impact were real. It did not feel welcoming, and it certainly did not feel like an equitable dining experience. We couldn't believe that this was still happening in 2026, in Atlanta. Very disappointing and unacceptable.

Great dinner! We went here for my husbands birthday. At first, service was a little slow even…read morethough it was a Monday night and there weren't a lot of tables. That didn't take away from the overall experience though. The elk carpaccio was amazing! Our Caesar salad was good but just a standard Caesar, we could've done without it to make room for all the other yummy things! We ended up getting the steak dinner for two which included A5 Wagyu, filet and spinalis. The wagyu was melt in your mouth! Outside the Wagyu, I preferred the filet and my husband preferred the spinalis. The restaurant is a typical upscale steakhouse vibe. Very classy place with good mood lighting and casual music. The bar area was also really nice. It's located in a shopping center so not somewhere you would think you would find a nice restaurant!

We had a dinner reservation for a party of 4 on Friday, 6/5/26, at 7:30 pm and this time, we were…read moreseated early. Good for date night or for groups. Dimly lit. Very pretty inside. Drew was our waiter and he truly made us feel like we were his only table. He had water and iced tea refills as soon as and even before our glasses were empty. Here's what we got: - Yeast Rolls ($8): Excellent, especially with the butter. Still dreaming of these. - Lump Crab Cake ($29): Pretty good. Note that the salsas had a kick to them. - Blue Fin Tuna Crudo ($28): Nothing to write home about. The chili was spicy. - French Onion Soup ($15): Just as good as we remembered it from last time. - Tasting for Two ($209): The filet and spinalis were delicious. The first time we went to Bask, the wagyu was exceptional. This time, it was the fattier part of the cut and sadly didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. - Scallops ($50): Absolutely delicious. The arroz verde cremosa was soo good. Decent portion too. - Seafood Mac & Cheese ($20): Came with lobster and shrimp. Suuuuper good, cheesy, and creamy. - Broiled Asparagus ($15): Seriously amazing. The best asparagus I've ever had. We were celebrating an anniversary and they let us choose a dessert on the house. We got the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding (normally $14). Sadly, it was just meh. We got the Colossal Cosmonaut Cookie last time, which was out of this world. Definitely get the cookie and skip the bread pudding.
