Food: We decided on this place going off of a local's favorite recommendations. This seafood restaurant got everything we ordered right. Superb flavor, great taste, very good presentation and generous portions! Crab cakes, ultimate seafood linguini and halibat andaman were just chef's kiss!! :) Service: Wonderful service by Linda. She took such good care of one of us special request of shellfish allergies by suggesting the right dishes for them. Warm smile and checking in on us from time to time says a lot about how much she loves doing what she does. Thank you so much Linda! :) Ambience: The waterfront view and the warm cozy ambiance was a lovely way to enjoy our food while enjoying the snow peaked mountain views. The booths are comfortable for family sizes. Loved it! Reservations: We had a 45 min wait but we could give our names and do a walk around downtown and come back right on time when we got clear communications of our place in the line and the time we need to be seated in. It was well organized. Parking: Street parking, a little tight but not a problem.

4 stars for great location with a premium view of the marina. For Sewell AK it was the best place we visited. Service was very good.

Went to Rays for the first time for dinner yesterday. I'm visiting my brother here from Nevada. First off, the waiter Charlie was great! Attentive, friendly and expedient. Secondly, they brought out the most delicious warm sourdough bread with olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. Next came our appetizer, Crab Cakes! Highly recommend this App, crispy not soggy! Delicious blend as well! Then I had the Seafood Linguine, which was good but not the best I've had. It says Creamy Garlic sauce but I hardly tasted any garlic. And it needed a splash of white wine. My brother had the Miso Sablefish- it's was great but it says broiled. I didn't see or taste any broil? I have eaten all over the world in many top rated restaurants. This one is worth stopping in and gave a nice dinner with great service and a beautiful view!

Rays was recommended to us by a local fishing guide and we really enjoyed our experience. We got sat at a table next to a window by the marina which was great. We even got to see otters coming and going. We split the crab leg lunch special with broccolini and rice and it was good. Crab might have been a little over cooked but was still enjoyable. Service was attentive and we didn't have to wait to get a table during lunch.

This was probably my favorite meal in Seward. We started with crab cakes which were amazing, I like when there's chunks of veggies in it and it was fried perfectly. The halibut andaman was so good, the crust with macadamias was still crunchy and the curry sauce it's served in was nice to warm us up after a chilly day. The service was great, we basically got what the waiter recommended. My friend got the seafood pasta which she also enjoyed. Definitely recommend this to everyone going to Seward! Just a heads up, there's a wait esp if there are cruise ships in the port, so plan accordingly! But there are also a lot of shops to walk around and kill time, not to mention the views are incredible to just soak up.

Recommend here for lunch, so we stopped by after one of our tours. Located right on the water, it's a beautiful place to have a meal - large windows allow you to enjoy the view. Crab cakes were tasted fresh and flavorful, decent-sized. Good drink selection. Enjoyed my French 75. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Food was definitely pricey, probably because they're a cruise ship stop. So keep that in mind. Overall, it was a good dining experience. As long as you're prepared for the higher price, it's a good stop.

What an adorable waterfront restaurant! We had seafood chowder, fresh oysters and miso cod dish. Everything was amazing! I have to say portions are not very large but we were still very satisfied in the end.

Great food and service! I ordered the Ribeye steak. Great atmosphere and the view of the marina is nice. One of our favorite places to eat when we drive to Seward from Anchorage

This place is GREAT. After a long day on the water, we stopped in for some clams and fish and chips. They also made us a tasty Paloma. It seems unassuming from the outside but GO IN! Chefs kiss is the lovely view of the bay.

We stopped for lunch at Ray's on the Seward waterfront area. A very busy restaurant with great harbor views- we were seated in a great spot, overlooking the docks. I ordered the salmon tacos (3) which came with pickled onions, feta cheese, jalapeños and a mango salsa. Spicy but not overwhelming. The salmon was quite tender. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries which he said was good. For dessert, we split a piece of key lime coconut pie, which was naked (came without whipped cream) which honestly, rivaled a pie from Florida. Very tasty. The restrooms were heavily used but kept up. All in all, I'd recommend them.

The food is amazing, the fish is fresh. Came back to back days, the black cod was amazing, savory and had an asian kind of sauce. The crab was also amazing, so fresh, broke apart in one piece every time. The severs are also great people, really friendly, ask for Mike. The art work is pretty, and the stuffed fish on the wall is awesome!

She was an absolute delight, was attentive but not intrusive, helpful, so friendly--and the kind of friendly that seemed sincere, and not just part of the job. She heard my husband say it was his birthday and later on slipped me a note asking what dessert he would like and coordinated a birthday surprise without my even asking. She deserves a giant bonus or raise for sure, and her customer care was so incredible that if I lived in Seward I would attempt to lure her away to work for me!! The food was also good; the nicely salted baked potato skins, the great seasonings on the seafood, the prime rib was wonderful. My husband said the salmon was cooked really well and he loved the baked beans. For the price, the captains platter seemed a little scant - but it was cooked well. We will definitely be back to visit Chantal and eat some great food!!

The servers were really nice and excellent at their jobs! But the best part was the food wow! The seafood chowder was amazing had big chunks of sockeye salmon. The gulf captains platter was very delicious soo fresh had broiled salmon which was juicy and very delicious, Halibut chunks that were fried like fish and chips were cooked crispy and the fish was still juicy. And fried prawns that were crispy and juicy inside bery tasty it came with 2 home made sauces a cocktail sauce that tastes like fresh horseradish was used in it and a standard tarter sauce. It came with two sides we tried baked potato loaded with cheese and bacon and rice with butter both were cooked fo perfection. The cornbread was ok compared to rest of food. Last but not least was this massive chocolate cake it was amazing wish it came with milk, but was so big we took home half! If I'm back in Seward i will definitely come back!

We were seated promptly and brought water and menus. The food is very high quality. My son had the Fire starter burger and I had the Alaskan Sami ( reindeer on Ciabatta roll). Topped off with their jalapeño coleslaw and side of fries. We split the crumble cake dessert ( this was so good it would be worth the drive down simply for it) My son uses a walker and requires ADA accommodations seven though this would normally receive a five star score from me, I score it a four because they have a chain and lock across the entry ramp requiring him to struggle with ducking under it.

There were 3 waitresses, no bartender, and the 3 younger ones that walked around who were supposed to be pouring waters, busing tables, etc. When the waitresses seemingly got tired of tables, they walked back and forth behind the bar without doing anything. It took us nearly an hour to receive our first round of drinks (only one was a mixed cocktail that required effort). Water came about 15 minutes after seating. At the peak, there were about 9 tables in action and three of them left. We had empty drinks nearly the entire time while the waitresses stood in the hall. For the food, the halibut fish and chips were really good and crispy. The halibut bites were awesome with a perfect touch of lemon and herbs. The cod fish and chips were really greasy. The reindeer meatloaf was dry but had a great flavor, so just add ketchup...
