Absolute deliciousness. It was quite packed on Tuesday night when we arrived for our reservation at 7, but we were seated right away. The ambiance was cozy, not loud, everyone looked to be having a wonderful time. The appetizers came out quickly and they were both amazing. The Hamachi Carpacio tasted fresh and that ponzu sauce was like icing on a cake. The shishito peppers were a little too spicy for us, but I know it's hit or miss depending on the batch of peppers you receive. But the star of the show was the Sushi. The flavor combinations paired with the freshness of the fish were just outstanding, quite easily may be the best sushi I've ever tasted. It was certainly worth the extravagance. I highly recommend the Alabama roll, it was my favorite along with the spicy tuna, the black dragon roll and the sunset roll. We will surely be back again and soon! read more

We visited Rayza's to celebrate Father's Day. We ordered the corn dip appetizer and it was really tasty. It came with a small amount of bread so we asked for some more since more than 1/2 of the dip was remaining. The waitress told us additional bread was an up charge. We were ok with that but with how much dip they give you, the amount of bread was definitely too little. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and all of them were pretty good. They are a little on the pricey side compared to Master Joe's or Wok By The Bay, both of which are really good and local. The restaurant was nice looking and they definitely made you forget you were eating in what was previously a Lenny's sub shop. The service was pretty good overall but we'll wait until the full menu is open before we return. I was hoping to be blown away with all the social media buzz prior to the opening, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt given it was the first week they were open. read more

Always great here. Stopped on a Friday night and it was busy but we were able to get two seats at the bar. Service with Erik was friendly, attentive and fast. Little Gem salad has a unique homemade Caesar dressing with same tang. Shrimp tempura roll included a healthy serving of avocado. Husband's chicken coconut curry was amazing. Chicken was tender, sauce was good coconut curry flavor and not overwhelming. Could taste all the lime, cilantro flavors too. It was served with baby green beans that were perfectly cooked ! We enjoyed the TNT roll, the surf and turf roll, the Roulston roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. They were all full of flavor and creativity. We were grateful to finally have time to make it Rayza's. After meeting Riza at a previous restaurant, we knew whatever he did next would be special. He is not only a great chef, he is a kind person. The service was slow it took about 13 minutes after we were seated before we flagged down someone to see if we had a server they had to go find someone. The drink was Outrageously over priced for the size. It was $12 for maybe 2oz (maybe 2oz) margarita. When the food did arrive the sushi was fantastic and fresh. I think they are still getting sorted out. Food was worth coming back for. A little on the pricey side. Wish that a roll at least came wirh a seaweed or cucumber salad or a bowl of miso soup. After hearing some hype my wife and I were very interested and excited to give Rayza's a visit. Attempted to make a reservation however nothing was available and told the Sushi bar was first come first served and we love sitting at the sushi bar so off we went. Upon arrival there we no seats and we didn't mind waiting however there is no wait seating anywhere. After a short wait we were seated at the sushi bar. Reviewed the menu and thought the prices were very high for sushi. When I asked about sashimi portions server was unsure "I think two small pieces"she said. For $20 I questioned? Bypassed sashimi ordered a few rolls , corn dip and a couple adult beverages. Corn Dip- just ok but bland not much to it. Sushi Rolls - Rice to dense no real acidity did not have a sushi rice flavor at all. Proportion of fish in the roll was way off. Mostly rice, veggies and tempura. Opened a piece to find practically no fish at all. Not what I expected for $22-$25 per roll. Service - ok about 10 mins to get drinks but other than that ok throughout. Only concern here was watching manager wipe hands and table with bar cloth then stick it back in her pants pocket and then use again. Not sanitary just fyi. Overall - Rayza's not impressive. Loud environment. Very overpriced for so so sushi at best. Now hot menu may be better but we went in for Sushi and since experience was underwhelming won't go for 2nd try. Recommendation - if you're out for sushi look elsewhere. There are higher quality options locally. read more
