I came here during early Sunday afternoon and it didn't look busy inside but I'm assuming because of shortage of staff, we had to wait. Luckily though, it was only a 15-20 minute wait for my part of 3. The staff were super nice and our waiter took excellent care of us. We ordered a lot of food but I had the boudin balls and the jambalaya pasta. The boudin balls were super tasty! I love the mixture inside with rice and meat and dipping it in the sauce made it spicy but flavorful! The jambalaya pasta was a HUGE portion, it can definitely be shared by 2! It was super flavorful but i think because of the large overwhelming portion, I got tired of it after a few bites. But hey, I'm not complaining; you're getting a bang for your buck! The only issue I had during my stay were the nats that were flying around at our seating area (booth). But overall, will definitely try other items on the menu! read more

I enjoy your Cajun food, so I decided to try Razzoo's. The food portion sizes were very long large, but the food did not have a lot of flavor. I had to add hot sauce to provide a depth of flavor to my meal. The crawfish étouffée was pretty good, and the alcohol drink sizes were very large. Let me start by saying that I NEVER leave 5 stars!! The food as always was wonderful! Closest to home cooked that I have found in a restaurant, so kudos for that. The reason for the 5 stars though was our waitress!! I didn't catch her name. She has a crescent moon on her neck. She was the most attentive waitress but not overbearing. She was kind and so helpful. Kept us informed of our food and when it was coming out, kept my husband's drink full (that in itself is a task) and had the best smile the whole time!! This would be a one star except my waitress was decent. Anyway I am in Houston for some work training and wanted something decent to eat. Being closer to Louisiana than where I'm from I decided to grab some catfish and crawfish. I wish I would've known better than to go here. The food was so bland I thought I caught covid. A quick drink of my Dr Pepper though reassured me I could still taste and the food was the problem. I still can't believe they have the audacity to consider this food Cajun or creole. Their Seafood Platter (plate) is too small to be called a platter with how much you pay. I asked about the portion and I was told by the server that they changed it because of covid. Then we were told by the manager with a veiled attitude that they didn't change the portion it's just the plating. We were going to keep it but because of her attitude we told her to take it back. We didn't argue bc it's pointless, when we compare pictures of people posting about this platter there's a significant difference. The amount of shrimp and crawfish are reduced, but the fish is the same. Might as well get the seafood platter from Papadeaux. You at least get your money's worth out of that one. Everything was AMAZING!!!! Rachelle was our waitress and she was great as well! We had the crawfish fondue, gator tails and fried pickles for the appetizer and everything came fast. This is usually like my favorite place but I would make one recommendation or two when serving the jalapeño catfish platter the sauce should actually have some type of flavor of jalapeño ,the fish should be fried hard and there should be a larger portion of rice to go with the catfish ratio. The food was good, the staff were GREAT! My party of 7 was treated exceptionally well by our server Cherokee on 5/25. The rest of the staff that evening were phenomenal too, very kind and attentive. I can't say enough good on the customer service. Everybody enjoyed their appetizers, drinks, and entreés, which were all brought out in a timely manner. I love Razzoo's! The grilled oysters, rat toes, and the cherry mustard is fire!!! Juliana always gives great service at the bar. My only complaint is the smell. First time visiting this location and I was not impressed. We were here during happy hour. I ordered the Mardi Rita which was delicious of course. I ordered the shrimp fondue as well and it came out cold! I sent it back and asked that they remake it and not just heat it up. It was still not good. Maybe I was just not feeling it. I use to eat here all the time. Last time it was way below normal. I tried today. They changed my platter I ordered all the time. Now they only give you the shrimp, fried crayfish and catfish filets. Careful, though...that tea is saweeeeet! I ordered the stuffed shrimp entrée because I fancy crab and it had some of that goodness up in there.
