Came here on a whim because I've been on a little bit of a Vietnamese kick. And all in all I'm mixed on the experience as a whole. We came in and it was maybe about half full, noone greeted us, or told us to sit anywhere, so we just sat down. Once we sat down the server was at our table within a few minutes. He seemed to be kind of frantically running around, so it just made me kind of uncomfortable. We ordered the combination crispy noodles, and the shrimp vermicelli. I thought the crispy noodle sauce was delicious, but it could've used a little more sauce. My husband thought that the vermicelli was kind of bland, and after tasting some for myself I'd have to agree. They had 1 server running the entire restaurant which explained the franticness. And to top it off, we wanted some boba to go and basically the only thing they had was the thai tea. I asked for mango, and they were out. Then I asked for the caramel milk tea, followed by the passion fruit, followed by the mocha which they were all out of. So I ended up with a thai tea because half of their boba menu was out. And to top it all off, I had a young child, couldn't have been more than 10 ring me up at the register. All in all, I'd go back for the crispy noodles, but the service wasn't very good. read more

Seems like they have less portions for the price that you pay and also I think the prices have risen a bit due to the pandemic. We recently moved to 78254. We've tried about 4 different Pho Restaurants close by. Tried their Summer Roll and P1. P1 Pho review Real Pho has the best broth in town. It was refreshing to not taste MSG in your broth. I know, my MSG radar is strong. Real Pho is simple yet it gives that clean and authentic Pho experience. The name stands by it REAL PHO. In short, it's the first time I ate everything in my bowl... I mean EVERYTHING. I have no pictures as I didn't expect this experience. Summer Roll The grilled pork was not dry, it was soft and tender. The shrimp was fresh, no aftertaste. The Wrapper was nice and soft, meaning it is fresh. Veggies were crunchy not soggie. Found our new spot! Family owned business so it has a good vibe. We had: 1. Chicken Pho -the broth was AMAZING! Very robust flavor and I could've eaten it as is (but I can't have pho without my hoisin and sriracha. Perfect chicken to noodle ration. Fresh herbs and veggies. Just delicious! 2. Vermicelli Chicken -another delicious one! Chicken is very flavorful. Large portion size, great flavor throughout when adding the sauce it comes with. 3. Summer Roll -the roll itself was delicious and packed full of goodness. The peanut sauce wasn't the best I've had but still good overall. Staff was friendly and attentive; they offer military discount, kid friendly, TVs had the games on, Christmas music playing in the background (December visit), steady flow of customers for a Sunday afternoon but hey kept up. What kind of restaurant has zero workers? I tried calling ahead for take out and no one answered the phone. I figured since it's lunch time, maybe they're too busy to man the phone. I decided to drive over and place an order in person. I arrive and the door is propped open with a chair, odd. Not a single soul inside- no customers, no staff. I stand at the counter for 10 minutes as I can hear someone in the back. After shouting "hello" several times, I finally get the attention on an older man. I ordered the chicken pho and it was honestly an insult to Vietnamese cooking. Native Vietnamese here and I can tell you no effort was put into this. The broth was bland and cloudy. The chicken was dry as if it's been reheated. The cilantro and Thai basil? Forget about it. Instead you get a few scraps of stale bean sprouts and one slice of jalapeño. Not going to return to this place. Service was absolutely lousy, food was mediocre at the best. I ordered a Combination Pho, which was of average taste. Nothing to brag about, nothing to complain about. My significant other ordered the Special Rice Plate because she wanted pork and shrimp. Both of which were items that the Special Rice Plate came with according to the new menu. When her food arrived, we noticed that there was no shrimp so when we asked about it, the owner said that it's because the menu was old and the dish doesn't come with shrimp anymore. This isn't reflected on the paper menu nor on the menus I found online. The staff here do not act like they care and walk around like aimless zombies with no purpose. read more

Take it from me, a real "Pho-natic" - this is great soup! Authentic, can taste the aromatic spices that seem to be left out of others' dishes (cardamom, star anise, etc). Service is amazingly attentive but not overly so. Chef will adapt diahes any way you want. For example, I ordered Chicken, Pho"without noodles + extra veggies & broth" - no problem! The Bahn mi...they use Walmart bread and you get like 4 small pieces of pork (not grilled, maybe pan fried) and barely any veggies. Overall not authentic and not good. Will never be back. This was my first visit to this restaurant, even though I've lived close to this area for many years. With a glass front, there is lots of welcoming light streaming into the dining area. With plenty of tables (about 20), I'm sure there is always room for anxious customers. After entering we were promptly welcomed and told to sit anywhere we'd like and offered drinks. It wasn't long before the drinks came out, including a boba tea. This was kind of surprising since quite often it can take a while to get the boba. There was an extensive menu for this family owned business. I ordered an Eye Round Steak, Brisket and Flank pho. My daughter chose the Wonton & Barbecue Pork Egg Noodle Soup. Before the food got to us we were brought the traditional plate with lime, basil leaves and sprouts. I always look forward to adding these awesome ingredients to my pho. Our order arrived probably within five minutes of the sprouts. Big bowls full of rich flavor. We both tried the broth first and then the rest of the bowl'a contents. Oh yeah, the spoons, chopsticks and straws are already at the table. The amount of meat was plentiful in both our dishes, with it all (protein and noodles) being tender. It wasn't till the end of the meal that I decided to get a Passion Fruit Smoothie, since I was so happy with the taste of the Taro Boba Tea my daughter got. Great move on my part! Cool goodness in all ways possible. Two thumbs up! Once again the owners were very friendly and I certainly hope they have a loyal clientele as well as new people coming in. Obviously, I'm A regular. The food is great but sometimes the service is hit or miss, dependent on my dress I guess. The pho Could use a little more substance but otherwise I'm full and the flavors are all there. I've tried the vermicelli as well as their grilled chop rice bowl and those have been nothing short of excellent. *Real Pho Special appetizer was a good choice, though still overpriced. *Spring Rolls and *Egg rolls above par, fresh and uniquely crispy, respectively. *Pho not enough meat, broth not very rich, slightly on the warm side when served. Noodles tad overcooked. *Tendon very good, usually get extra on the side but theirs was very expensive @ $3 a piece. Although it might have been worth it? *Nam Vang Style Soup had a much more flavorsome broth, but still sparing on the meat portions for the price. Very good overall though. *Tofu + Vegetables Pad Thai was pretty good; the sauce a little sweeter than expected, but tofu and vegetables were good. Our *Pork Bành Mì had thin cut savory enough meat inside, but their baguette was on the hard side. Also sans the usual portion of Vietnamese vegetables of daikon, carrots, cilantro, etcetera. The *Boba drinks were very good, I tried the Thai green tea, but definitely overpriced @ $5.75. Service was satisfactory; 11 year old son far more personable than the owner, seemed like Grandma helps clean up, father is chef in the back. Good sized room, bright interiors, comfortable environment. Would come back again, but would more selective in ordering, as the process here are a little higher than many other Vietnamese places in the area. read more

Came here on a whim b/c I was hungry & needed food. I'm not from this area, down here for work so I'm not too aware of the surrounding restaurants. We got a bánh mì & grilled chicken plate. First of all, I'm only giving these stars b/c the young lady working there was trying really hard; I don't know if she was there by herself but she was servicing all the tables (2 tables & some to-go orders) while also cleaning around. The place was empty upon our arrival & as someone who has had GREAT Vietnamese food I should have know it wouldn't necessarily be a good experience, but we stayed b/c we were hungry. We were sitting for 10ish minutes before we got a menu w/ blackout prices. Lets start with the grilled chicken, I'm not a cook but I know grilled chicken shouldn't have a crunch. As soon as my guest bit into it I heard a crunch, they also had a hard time chewing it. Looked dry like jerky. The plate itself was for a child not an adult portion. The bánh mì, the bread was warm & the chicken was not hard/dry. But it did lack taste & spice. I LOVE bánh mì, it was my go to during long days at University, but this wasn't it... I can't say the rest of the food isn't good/great because we didn't taste it. I do think they need help in making this place & food better. And I do hope their business prospers. read more

This place is absolute trash. Menu is completely wrong. Take out order- I ordered a dish that was supposed to come with fried shrimp but didn't and when I called to ask about my order I was told that they don't put shrimp anymore. This place is too cheap to print new correct menus so I can't imagine that the owners have much pride in this dumpster fire. I don't understand how they believe it's ok to list a dish on the menu, and then inform of you changes after you have ordered and paid for it. Just complete deception and then a "too bad" attitude towards me. Wouldn't even allow me to speak to the manager either when I asked. I get times are hard since the pandemic, but that's no excuse for these types of deceptive practices. We enjoyed the food here, but this experience will have us supporting other Pho places. read more

I love their pork pho! They were closed for a while during Covid, and they reopened it seems recently. I was missing their pho! Somethings I'd say could be better is the service. The guy at the register didn't seem to really care about taking my order or double checking my order when I got it. I was missing some extra pork I asked for. There was a long wait for my food as well. And I haven't been able to get through on the phone number they have out front to place the order over the phone. Very delicious Pho. Someone once told me to get a Pho with lots of different meats, it's got the best flavor and they were right. They had plenty of noodles and they weren't cheap with the amount of meat. Very good size bowl and lots of sprouts. This is gonna sound weird BUT I'm pretty sure their water is FILTERED which is rare. Most places don't and you can tell but that's definitely a plus for me. read more

This place is absolutely delicious :) the service is great and the boba tea is even better! We didn't have any Pho but I bet its really good. We got the combination Pad Thai and combination fried noodles. The Pad Thai was filling for sure! Unfortunately the limes that came with the meal were dried out lol but I didn't need them since it was delicious. The Combination Fried Rice came two different ways: fried & stir fry. The fried one came looking like a birds nest of deliciousness :) We were both VERY pleased with our meal choices. We also got Thai Tea and Passion Fruit boba tea. They were both phenomenal! SUPER YUMMY! I'm addicted to this passion fruit boba tea. The bobas were a little smooshy, I like mine firm and chewy.
