This is the kind of restaurant you come back to over & over again and it never gets old. I had it tabbed and saved in one of my Yelp collections. Today I gave my husband a few options and this is what he picked. We were both so pleasantly surprised. When it comes to Vietnamese food, my husband prefers pho which ironically they only serve on Wednesday'. The cashier also told us it's not the typical style pho. We were intrigued and after eating our meal we decided we're definitely trying it! For today's order we chose the ribs and rice (they're separate) my husband ordered the brisket bahn mi which i feel like is their staple menu item here. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! We were blown away for how casual the restaurant is. The aesthetic is giving gentrified/hipster and I'm not mad at it! The customers were flowing in consistently which is expected after tasting the food. Overall, great experience and great customer service! We will definitely be frequent visitors! The price range is also very reasonable for the portions you get! Absolutely love Singhs!

We came for a quick bite before a show at The Tobin. Best noodles I've had in a long time! My Hubbae doesn't even LIKE noodles...or rice for that matter (weird, ikr?!), but we BOTH enjoyed that bowl along with the wings. Noodles were perfectly cooked. The pork flavorful. The veggies were fresh. I forgot the dressing...butter-something but it was popular and I know why! Food came out pretty quick and there is an adjacent room with a bar and more seating. I now have a new spot to check when I'm in the area. PLUS, they have parking in the back!

    Shrimp rice bowl.

My fella and I have talked about coming here for a long time now. We finally go and I hate admit that it was kind of a let down. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl, the brisket bún, and eggrolls for pickup. We arrived maybe five minutes after the designated pickup time. I went to the counter and after a few seconds someone came out and I gave them my name and I was on my way. Something annoying on the menu was that they charge for sauce. I didn't order any, but kind of wish I had. The eggrolls were tiny and a little soggy. They didn't pack much flavor, but did pack a lot of oil. According to other reviews, the sauces we got were for the eggrolls, but I didn't think about that. I also couldn't identify the sauce except that it was maybe a mix of fish sauce and soy sauce. The rice bowl had five large, super crispy shrimp. They were good and the was a bit of heat, but nothing really made it stand out as authentic Vietnamese flavors. The rice had a nice coconut flavor that paired well with the cilantro, but overall, the rice was pretty dry and cold. I did add one of the sauces and, the rice was so dry that the sauce seemed to disappear into it. It wasn't a bad meal, but it definitely lacked bold flavors and freshness. Unfortunately much of the same for the brisket bún- cold and lacking bold flavors. I know we ordered to go, but we are less than ten minutes away. Food usually doesn't get that cold so quickly. I also find it off-putting to automatically add gratuity to orders. It was five percent for to go orders; not sure if there's a standard automatic gratuity for dine in. I don't like this practice especially because they still asked if I wanted to add another tip. Normally I'm not a "not going to tip" person, but this sure made me feel that way. Nothing inspires me to return anytime soon. I think there are much better options around town.

This place is an "order at the counter and then have your food brought to you" type of place. I liked the ambiance. I ordered a brisket banh mi and a limeade. I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that you had to pay extra for some sauce. A banh mi requires sriracha which i had to pay extra for. I know that was a personal choice to pay for it but i was a little bothered by it. The banh mi was pretty good and the limeade did had a nice tartness with a little hint of bitterness that cut the fat in the brisket.

I was looking for a quick bite after visiting the Japanese Garden, and since there are other businesses in the area, the parking in the back can get crowded. We ordered the Shrimp Bún and the Chicken Bún they were absolutely delicious! The rice was flavorful, the veggies were fresh, and both the shrimp and chicken were seasoned perfectly. Overall, the bowls were fresh, tasty, and a great option for a quick meal. The restaurant also offers plenty of seating, including a bar area, which is nice. I've also used the app to order ahead for the Pork Bánh, and the service was quick. This spot is perfect if you're in downtown or uptown, especially near the gardens or zoo. Great vibes, friendly service, and tasty food. Highly recommend!

This was a nice clean restaurant! The atmosphere was chill and cozy. The food was okay. I got the rice bowl with brisket and it was flavorless and dry but the brisket was tender. I also got the egg rolls, which were good but not worth paying for because they were the size of a Bic lighter. I also had the chicken wings in the Tiger flavor. They were bussin!!! Nice fresh, hot and crispy! I was able to dress the Rice up with the fish sauce that came with the egg rolls and some soy sauce. That made it a lot better! Lastly I had a cocktail called, "the mint to be" but it tastes like it was supposed to be a mojito but it was pretty good tho!. Overall service was alright everybody working there act like they were in such a hurry to do things around the restaurant and answering a customers question was the last thing on their to-do-list ‍.

    Pork Rice

Amazing! One of the best restaurants I've tried in San Antonio. The pork rice bowl ($13) was very flavorful and everything blended nicely. The pork was really good. I wish the rice was a little wetter and softer. I would recommend getting a side or a drink since the serving isn't very big, but perfect for a quick lunch. The service is great, all the workers are efficient. My food came out in 4 minutes! That's incredible! One note is that they have an automatic 12% tip for dine in and 5% for take out. I would recommend Singhs to use reusable metal utensils instead of single use plastic to reduce waste and give the place a more upscale feel. Overall I would definitely come back here. I want to try everything on the menu! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Price 5/5

This is our second time visiting here and the food is just amazing. It was refreshing and calm stopping in here. The environment was relaxed. Everything was served to us in a timely manner and we would definitely return.

5 stars and the best Vietnamese food I have ever tasted! I met one of the owners at a coffee shop while chatting about mushrooms. When he told me about the restaurant so I decided to try. This place has s located on St. Mary's strip and the parking is in the rear of the building. Inside is really cool. There's a seating area with booths and high tables along with a bar area seating through another room. I ordered my food and it was ready pretty fast. They give you SO MUCH FOOD! But it was SO GOOD that I tried to eat it ALL. In fact, it was so good that I returned within the next few days for more. The texture and flavor of the food was just awesome! If you're in San Antonio and looking for good food, make this place your option. You won't regret it but you'll go back for more.

They charge a 12% service fee for dine in.. food was good and service was okay. The setting is calm and cozy. But the service fee is ridiculous!

    Brisket Banh Mi

Excellent banh mi at Singhs. Came here due to good reviews online. I was able to place order online. The brisket sandwich was delicious. I would definitely come here to try different items on the menu.

I ordered for take out at the discretion of other reviews. Parking is very limited in the area which is probably it's only negative. The interior looked pretty cozy. Dimly lit. One side was for pick up and other side was dining in. Food was ready for pick up when we got there and hand off was super fast so I was in and out in no time. The Banh mi was flavourful and delicious. Even had a nice lingering kick. Having tried authentic Viet food in Houston, NYC, and LA, I think this comes pretty close. Would def be coming back here to try some of their other dishes.

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.

Finally got around to trying this place out and regret not going sooner! It's a small(ish) place…read moreso there was a small wait on a cold day but well well worth the wait! Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Give this place a try, be aware the parkings tight, don't get overwhelmed or thrown off find the parking get inside and be ready for some amazing food from amazing people! Side note: everytime the older Vietnamese women came to clear our plates as we finished she told us good job for fishing our food and tbh it felt so warming and homey without thought
