I used to really hate moving. All of my past moves have ended in tears so I decided this time I was going to use a moving company. I think hiring RocknRoll movers is one of the best decisions I have made in a long time! Ashley and Travis were AWESOME! Our scheduled appointment was for 10am and they showed up exactly on time! Both guys were super friendly and fast. They definitely knew what they were doing. We were able to move all of the stuff in our 2bed 2bath apartment from downtown to culver city in less than three and a half hours! None of our items were damaged and the guys didn't even complain about our two flights of stairs. I freaking love these guys! They were awesome! I couldn't have asked for a better move. While the big black truck with a skull and crossbones was a bit scary, they were hard working, quick and fun to talk to. They even helped me drop a nasty old table out on the sidewalk for the scavengers. What I think is really cool is that to work for them you have to be in a band! Movers by day, musicians by night. Two thumbs up. Archey allowed me to switch to a smaller truck (the Cheap Truck option) within 24 hours of the move date, no penalty. Glenn and Scott were my movers. Professional, fast, no-nonsense. Very satisfied with these movers. Three guys came and had 3/4 of our stuff in their truck in the first 20 mins. They were easy to communicate with, both on the phone/emails and in person once they arrived. They arrived 25 min early but didn't start charging me until the scheduled time. Very professional while still finding time to joke around and have fun. Had them load two pods for a long distance move, and the driver, micheal, took it as a challenge to fit all our stuff in. First time hiring movers to carry our things when moving. And I will never do it myself again. Yes, I still packed all my own boxes, but I didn't have to carry it all. So it was between spending about $120 on a U-Haul plus miles, gas etc. or hiring these guys who brought their truck and everything they needed. Instead of spending a day hauling around boxes, furniture etc, we spent the day relaxing and unpacking the first things in the new place and settling everything with the old place. At the new place, there were two staircases and another one in the apartment and while I felt really bad for the guys, they were totally fine with it and kept telling me that they've seen worse. I had labeled everything with colored labels to make it easier for them (and save some time). They didn't rush but they were quick and efficient. And really, I would rather they pack it all properly than save 5 minutes here and there. They carefully wrapped everything in blankets and foil and took even better care of the things we told them were especially important (a mirror and a vase from grandma). I can't say enough about these guys. I was moving from an apartment I'd lived in for 8 years. I spent a week packing and organizing and purging but it was still a lot of stuff - in those 8 years I entered my 30s, got married, and had 2 kids. Right when I booked the movers my husband had to go work in Bogota, Colombia for the week. Moving alone with a 4 and 2 year old while working from home was stressful to say the least. It was so hard, but as soon as the guys showed up I felt a wave of relief as they took over all the things I had been stressing about and I felt like I could finally get excited about moving into a much bigger, more family friendly home. They were careful, quick, prepared, and so fun. I had a great time getting things set up with them and felt like I had a team with me, and though moving is one of the worst things anyone ever has to do, it was the best moving experience I've ever had! read more

From the first email RocknRoll Movers was professional and easy to work with. Their website is simple to navigate and their prices were competitive. Their reminder email was a great way to get prepped for the big move. For my 2 bedroom move they brought an 18' truck and 3 great guys - Courtney, Ricky and Dre. They finished up their first move of the day early so they were able to come sooner than anticipated which was great. They had me moved out of my apartment in 1.5 hours and into my new place (with an elevator) in 2. I hate moving let me start off by saying. You call around to get a quote and all you get is the run around. But from the moment I spoke with Billy I felt like these guys were very straightforward and accommodating. I was so worried about the cost but headed by Anders...Terrell and Robert were so efficient and had me in and out of my old place and into my new in exactly 3 hours. They began the minute they walked through my door. Needless to say it was a tough move given they had to carry very heavy furniture down three flights of stairs. Yet Terrell managed to keep a sense of humor and Robert was so gracious when bringing in furniture he would ask me where I wanted it placed. RRnR movers are wonderful. I was nervous about which company to choose, but knowing that several of my friends and coworkers used them made me feel confident that they would do a great job. We had three guys and a large truck to move a 2 bedroom, 1 bath + living/dining/kitchen to move. In about 1.5 hours they had everything wrapped securely and the truck packed. We moved to echo park, and again about 1.75 hours to load in and we were done. It was so easy, clean, organized, and all my furniture was delivered in perfect shape, nothing broken,.. no dents/scratches anything. After a bad experience moving last year, I decided to find a more professional company this time around. I couldn't resist these guys after seeing their van around town, and the reviews seemed like they were worth a try. I paid for packing and move of my entire place, as well as paying for 3rd party insurance (learned my lesson last time). Two different teams came out - first day to pack, and second day to move. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, listened to and honored my concerns. Packing was quick (~4 hours for a one-bedroom apartment), and the move itself took about 6 hours, which felt reasonable for the amount of stuff I had. Everything was packed carefully and all packing supplies were provided. One thing that was mentioned to me and that I appreciated - they hand carry all boxes rather than stacking them on a hard cart. As far as I've seen so far, nothing was damaged. Would use again. read more

We were on a very steep narrow hill and they sent two smaller trucks at no extra charge. YOU MUST USE THESE GUYS! Let me start off by saying that it is very difficult to impress me. These guys took it to a different level! If you need movers, do not look anywhere else! Call them ASAP! I had already booked a gig with a different company when my close of escrow was delayed, and the other company came up with a very lousy excuse. I was referred to these guys by a co-worker. They responded back quickly, they provided me a detailed quote, and they were flexible, with very competitive rates. Moving day came and here showed up two AWESOME trucks (love their logo!) with 6 guys who were professional, enthusiastic, and ready to ROCK! Have to give these guys props: Michael Mark Ralph Nick Dave (sorry I am flaking on the other guy) They arrived a few minutes late, but called ahead of time to say that they were stuck in traffic. These guys were transparent about everything. All of my belonging were in FOUR 10 x 10 storage spaces ranging from boxes to furniture, to my kids toys. In 2 hours, they got everything out of the storage spaces, loaded up and were on our way to our new home. They arrived and in the next 2 hours, they unloaded TWO 26-foot trucks and brought in all of the furniture. I especially was impressed with the pride each and every one of them took with our belongs from wrapping and packing, to moving it into our home, to unpacking certain items. I have to give special kudos to NICK! This guy was all over the place and doing everything as though he was on a serious adrenaline rush! You have to ask for him to be a part of your next move! Bottom line, you all have probably heard many horror stories, you have probably experienced sub-par moving experiences, had personal belongs damaged, or even had damage to your new home. Let me give you the bottom line stats on our move: - These guys were on their game - These guys were hustling - These guys were detailed - These guys took great pride in their work - These guys were Extremely careful with everything - These guys were outgoing, friendly, polite - These guys do not damage anything - These guys delivered UNDER BUDGET!!!!! I really trust Yelp reviews so I feel the need to comment that these Yelp reviews did not lead me in the right direction this time. I moved out of a one bedroom into a one bedroom. I've moved many times in the last 5 years, it normally takes 2-3 hours TOPS for both parts of the move. REAL RocknRoll Movers took over 2 hours to LOAD the apartment, not even counting the transit time and then the unloading. I was shocked that it was taking so long. Literally in disbelief. I have normal apartment things. A couch, a bed, a dresser, a nightstand, a kitchen table, and many boxes of books, clothes, glassware, odds and ends. I even consider myself a minimalist as in I don't keep a lot of things in my life. The fact that it took so long was really shocking to me. These movers really felt not serious about their job. One of the three was awesome. The other two were.... weak. I feel bad saying it. But it was taking so long because they had a move earlier in the day, and apparently an afternoon move means they're too tired to do their job efficiently. As in, one mover would try to lift something then give up and walk downstairs empty handed. Two of the movers decided to take each of my couch cushions downstairs one by one. Every other moving company I've ever used shrinkwraps the couch cushions with the couch so that nothing gets lost or dirty. I could not believe they were wasting so much time carrying down either nothing, one couch cushion, or items that could be carried in multiple (IE I had numerous picture frames-- they were carreid downstairs one at a time). DISBELIEF. Once we got past the hour and a half mark and they were doing really unbelievable things like carrying one pillow at a time, I had to start taking things from them. If I coudl carry it--they weren't allowed to. I hired this company to move my furniture, not walk one pillow down at a time. Give me a break. That blew my mind. Even when I sequestered half my belongings in a room I told them not to bring to the truck--they still tried to reach for things like one broom, or one pillow, or one mirror to waste my time and money with. Oh, and even though I was extremely clear in what I had on the inventory list-- even emailing back when I realized I had forgotten to list some things-- they saw a musical instrument I own and said "we don't move pianos." IT WASN'T A PIANO. It was a keyboard. They iNSISTED that they couldn't move it because of the "piano clause." But it wasn't a piano. Rock n roll movers, come on. Then they got lost on the 5 minute drive to my new apartment, ended up taking 30 minutes. Oh, and after you hire them, then they send you weekly emails trying to get you to go see their bands perform. This was my first move in Los Angeles and honestly the worst moving company I've ever experienced... I've hired movers in multiple other cities. A Chicago mover would strap a midcentury solid oak dresser on his back and walk it down a spiral staircase without a complaint. These guys were not very strong and complained a lot about how heavy my couch, dresser, bed were, taking frequent breaks, and then - knowing they were paid by the hour- really tried to maximize every minute and I felt ripped off in the end. I would not recommend, and I hope there are more serious moving companies in Los Angeles. This was clearly a side job for musicians who had no interest in respecting my time, money, or belongings. This was over a month ago and I'm still really bummed out about it. I'd suggest you look somewhere else. read more

In 2014, they lost the footboard of my bedframe. They refunded me $50 and I had to find a replacement piece on Craigslist - it was a lot of work (and cost much more). I just requested another move and am told due to this they will not provide any moving services. Shame, they were really nice and I recommended them to many friends - but now I don't. read more

This is now the 4th time that I (now a we) have used RRR. The booking process is seamless and everything is done online with ease. The movers are the absolute nicest, most courteous & trustworthy guys. Most importantly they are incredibly efficient! They don't waste time, they get right down to the job. If they take a lunch break they let you know upfront that it will be 30 minuets & that time will be deducted from your total move time. My wife and I both work with bands, and reading about these guys, there was really no other option for us. We just had to use them for our move. If you live in Los Angeles and have to hire some movers for all your stuff. you have to use these guys. Think about it, why have weird moving guys touching your junk when you can have cool band dudes helping you out?! The idea behind the company is that there is always going to be a job for these guys when they get back from a tour and they can pay that rent moving furniture until their band makes it. Anyone that has been in a touring band knows how hard it is to hold down and job and focus on the band, this moving company just solved that. How this isn't a National chain i don't know, but i bet it will soon. An easy 5 stars, on time, professional, everything you would want from movers.
