THEY PLAY FUNNY BUSINESS WITH YOUR MONEY. I have talked to two managers about this issue, and they both acknowledge that this was happening to others. They have a point system that tells you you're getting discounts when you're not - one manager told me I have to wait a few days to get the refund each time I get a discount. Another manager said it was supposed to be instantaneous. Something is very wrong but nobody at Reborn is trying to help me recuperate the money that I lost; instead, they actually thanked me for helping them with their system like I'm an employee. So, I no longer trust this business and I have been a customer for over a year. Other coffee shops use a similar point system and have no problems with it. I was around the area and came to this coffee shop based off of a friend's recommendation. Although the coffee was decent, and the setup was visually appealing, I personally won't return to this cafe to study. This coffee shop may be better suited to chat with a friend or meet up with a few people rather than a quiet place to focus. Parking/Location * The coffee shop is located inside of a nice plaza with tons of places to eat or grocery shop * Parking can be hard to find during the weekends and might take a few minutes circling around before you find a spot * Pretty easy to find the café and they're open until 10pm Seating/Environment * There's not a lot of seating inside of the coffee shop, but there are a few tables, chairs, and a lounge area outside for those who don't mind * Although I found a spot to sit inside, I wasn't able to find a lot of outlets so if you're coming with a laptop make sure it's fully charged! * This shop gets a lot of traffic, so the noise level combined with the background music can make it hard to concentrate Coffee * Ordered a vanilla latte ($5.25) to go while I worked on an essay * The drink itself was standard but a slightly more pricey than other places in the OC * The place specializes in cold brew coffees, so if you're interested this might be the place to go * My tastes tend to steer more towards sweet coffee so the vanilla latte was decent, but slightly overpriced. Unfortunately the service can be painfully slow because pretty much everyone here orders pour overs, and often as a group, so you can imagine how long that takes when you're behind a party of four or five. Also, it would be advisable for the owners/management team to reeducate their staff on the magnetised and energised water processing, since it's such a big deal according to the website. Otherwise, the staff was really friendly and made the drinks very well. I appreciate the fact that the business model includes the use of higher quality water. I'd come back again if I was in the area, and I'd pick it over some other spots for the savings on the alternative milks. read more

I've been to reborn coffee twice now and I love their Nutella latte. Not too sweet and just enough Nutella flavor. I always try to give this shop a shot when i'm in the area but it always disappoints. This last visit will be the last time i go.. I ordered a pour over and latte, after me came in two other customers. It was a younger man working who helped me, he was very nice but completely disregarded my pour over and finished the other two customers orders first. It took 15 minutes to get two drinks because he was busy talking to a friend and customer. He left my pour over sitting on the counter, mid way through and as a result, the coffee was over extracted and extremely bitter, i couldn't even drink it. The 5 stars are for the coffee and that alone!!!!!Probably my favorite coffee spot in OC!!!! I usually order the flat white with oat milk and a splash of their house made vanilla. Honestly, I'm not sure if they've hired new staff or what lately but they are very unfriendly and awkward. Like this weekend I walked in twice on two separate occasions and both times....they were all standing around and looked at me like I walked in and interrupted them. Super awkward and weird but whatever I guess it's worth the self inflicted torture for a delicious drink. The staff would get probably a 1 star!! You know what the world severely lacks? Quality coffee shops that open late is what's up! I don't understand why most coffee shops close at around 6 PM or 8 PM. You would assume that people will drink more coffee either in the early morning or late evening. It's what people do when they don't want to get dinner with someone but need to catch up but also also want to get drinks and be drunk around that same person. It always astounds me that there are no quality coffee shops open past early evening. Lo and behold Reborn Coffee Roasters. I came last night for the first time because two things: 1) they got great reviews and 2) they serve Kayla's Cakes macarons. (Side note: If you haven't tried it, Kayla's Cakes makes delicious macarons but only works out of select venues like the mall or Disneyland. They're on par or better than Lette in My book.) The Venue: it's very cute and accessible especially for people that want to study. I saw some couch spots and free Wi-Fi around the coffee shop so it seems like a good place to study and just drink some coffee. The coffee: I tried the cold brew latte and I have to say that I really like it. I've become sort of a snob when I make coffee or try other coffee places. I myself also make my own cold brew and make a latte and this was as this delicious as the ones I tried or made ( sorry for sounding such a hipster elitist... I just really like coffee and am particular) . I also tried their espresso with mocha sauce. I didn't particularly like the blend that they use which is Valencia but I could see a lot other people would like it. I'm just not a fan of overtly citrus and nutty flavors. I do have to recommend the Columbia if you're going to mix it with mocha sauce because it has very fine notes of mocha and it tastes and pairs very well with their mocha sauce. Service: The barista's were very nice. It was the end of the night and I was one of the last few people coming in but they were helpful and even though they messed up on my order they gave me a free coffee which was really nice. They were also helpful in helping me select what drink I wanted to try out and overall kept a positive atmosphere. This might sound like the most bougie thing I'm about to say but this was one of the coolest coffee shop spots I found it orange county that felt very LA. I put my money where my mouth is and I even left with one of their Columbia coffee beans; later I found out that they actually won best cold brew of the year. So that's a neat tidbit. Reborn is a cute coffee shop nestled in an upscale complex, surrounded by Whole Foods and various boutique fitness studios. They specialize in a variety of single origin coffee and blends, and as a creature who loves third wave coffee, I'd have to say this one is a must try. They had a single origin espresso from Honduras- which was nice because the majority of third wave coffee shops use a blend. It's a great cafe to work in, and there's plenty of outdoor seating near a fire pit. I like to work out in the morning and then work here- it's quite a peaceful set up for those days! read more

We're glad we found this gem in our new neighborhood! It's a cute little Coffee shop in the shopping area, which is all relatively upscale. I've only been during Covid time since we moved, so it's been tough to sit inside of course. But, the vibe is cozy and they have a few tables set up. There's also an outside seating area. They have a pretty decent selection of your usual go to upscale coffee beverages. My favorite is their shaken cappuccino! Never seen it anywhere else and has quickly become one of my favorites. This coffee shop is located in the same plaza as whole foods so there is plenty of parking. Not sure about the weekends though and when the shops around reopen. I came on a quiet Wednesday morning after my hike. I came here with one of my good friends. They had quite a bit of coffee choices and several food options. My friend and I ordered the vegan burrito. My friend actually wanted the bacon burrito but vegan burrito was all they had left so she got that. I also got the iced matcha latte with almond milk. I was glad the barista told me that they didn't add any sugar in the matcha powder like Starbucks does. The donuts they had were all vegan as well. I believe the donut I order was called the "fiery peach". The vegan burrito was pretty good. It tasted kinda like sausage with that strong cinnamon taste. My friend and I. It's thought It was yummy, but I felt it was overpriced for such a small burrito for $8.50. The matcha latte was okay, it wasn't strong enough for me. The donut really lived up to its name for "fiery". It had a nice kick to it with sweetness. The barista was nice and helpful. She was wearing a mask. This is one of my favorite coffee shops! Location: Reborn Coffee Roaster is located in a big plaza with restaurants and little shops. There are plenty of parking spaces, even on the weekends. Ambiance: Inside is clean and modern. The noise level isn't too bad. There aren't a lot of seats inside - 3 high tables for one person, 1 table for two people, and 1 big community table with a couch and few chairs. If it's too full inside, the outside has few tables. On a sunny day, it's actually nicer to sit outside than inside. Drinks: They have 4-5 choices of cold brews, ranging from $4-6. They have a variety of teas and Rebornades for non-coffee drinkers. I've tried their Columbia cold brew ($4) and the Rebornade flight ($15). The cold brew is smooth and delicious. Rebornade flight is a little pricey, but it's good for those who have never tried any of the Rebornades and want to figure out which one would be their favorite. It's very picture-worthy too. They are all refreshing and not too sweet. My personal favorite is the Blooming Flower ($5)! Baristas: They are very friendly and nice. I have never had a bad experience! I love coming here to study or to grab some drinks after lunch/dinner. Definitely recommended! read more

Note: review is only for the sweets. In recent years, I've been looking up places that have macarons and froyo. I also have a penchant for coffee due to work stress, so this place seemed to checkmark everything I wanted on my list. Parking isn't too bad. During peak meal hours, it gets pretty busy, but you should still be able to find parking somewhere. Service has been okay. No issues with anyone. The cafe itself is pretty cute. People do sit down and stay here to socialize or study, or just muse by themselves or concentrate on their phones. Very clean place, and it's pretty aesthetically pleasing. Froyo: not bad. Apparently, it's their own brand/flavor. I believe they only have one flavor, which is a vanilla kind type. They put on top a dried yam chip or two (or, I think it's dried yam). Very creamy, and tasty. A bit leaning towards the sweet side. Macarons: they have a wide variety of flavors. Sizes are okaaaaaaaaaaay. Not that big, but not tiny. Each one is $2.50 (which I feel is a bit pricy for what you get). They may not have all flavors available on a particular day, but we've seen these kinds: matcha, hazelnut, dark chocolate, white chocolate, red velvet, pistachio, and lemon. The macarons are also a bit on the sweet side. Hubby actually really doesn't like them. I'm okay with them, but that's mainly because they're chewy/moist even after a couple days, which is rare. Perhaps there are preservatives? I don't believe the macarons are made by them. Also, one thing we noticed about the macarons is that the display case shows the macarons by themselves. They aren't packaged in any way. But, on the occasions that we've visited, the macarons have all been individually sealed, which I'm totally okay with. But, the servers will do different things. For example, one might just plop the sealed macarons in a box and give it to us, while another will individually unseal each macaron to put the macaron in the box. I don't know what to think of the inconsistency... I don't have a problem with it; just thought it was interesting. read more
