I frequent this coffee shop joint often . They have this amazing pastry with pistachios and raspberry jam. Their peach ice tea is the best I've ever had and I always tend to get the peach flavor , though I'm sure their other teas and ice teas are just as delicious. I'm usually a big fan of Reborn coffee, but the baristas at this location are just SO slow. When I arrived, there was only one guy working, and he was moving with zero sense of urgency even though a line was starting to form. Shortly after, another guy came out, but they were still both moving pretty slow. I would be more forgiving of this if my drink was fantastic, but that wasn't the case. My girlfriend usually gets a chai, but they didn't have any left today. I ordered a strawberry matcha, and this is the first reborn matcha I've had thus far. Half of my cup was filled with the strawberry puree and the matcha was not whisked properly. Despite the amount of puree, after mixing my drink together, it tasted like NOTHING! The location though, is quite cute and there's a nice vibe. The service was just really slow and my drink was not good relative to other Reborn locations. read more

I usually don't leave bad reviews but this place is weird. Both the men working there yesterday added weird vibe to the shop. The ginger guy at the front took my order and had nothing to say about the matcha, seemed very uninformed and super unfriendly. A customer after me got served her drink when she had 3 others order ahead of her, same dude at front was talking to her a lot and had another customer waiting for over 5 minutes. While waited over 10 minutes for my drink (which was 9$ for a L strawberry matcha w oat milk) to which tasted only like milk. Safe to say I would not waste my $ here! This is a great local spot, the coffee is often made with care to detail. The ambiance is more on the sterile/modern side of things. A great place to lounge and catch up with a friend. Their baked goods can be hit or miss, but their empanadas slap *almost* every time! To me, they're a touch on the pricier side, but all the drinks I've tried are pretty delicious. I found this place on Yelp, and saw the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I was a bit put off at first by the parking, there is plenty but I thought it was a bit sudden to drive in and out of. It's one of those places where once you swing into the lot, after that it's really easy to navigate in and out again. The coffee: Absolutely delicious! Just be warned, their Yelp menu is not the current menu. But it's not a problem, they are very helpful and offered very tasty alternatives, and my goodness the coffee is so good. I enjoyed a decaf latte with an OLI POP root beer with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. The latte even came with a beautiful leaf art on top. I've lived in La Crescenta my entire life and had never tried Reborn. I finally gave it a shot last month and I've been going almost every week at least once. In the La Crescenta area I haven't had a matcha I truly love. Reborns matcha I loveddd!! It's amazing quality and it has the perfect amount of sweetener. I get the iced vanilla matcha latte but I also have tried the iced blueberry matcha latte. Both are really tasty but I love the vanilla. The blue berry is tasty but it was a bit too milky for me. Service is great and so is the overall vibe the the coffee shop. It's also a very chill place to do homework or even read a book. read more

I saw this place in passing and I decided to try it. A 12oz coffee $4.00. Wow the mark up is super real.The coffee was ok I usually like more of a bold taste. It was not bad at all. I have to be honest the croissant at $6.00 was one of the most delicious I have had in a while!!! It was pricey but I would get it again. I think this place has definite potential. If the ambiance and service improve a tiny bit this could be a place I would return to. If you go I recommended the almond croissant. After my visit to the Corona Del Mar location I was so excited to pop in here when I spotted it driving by. And I'm happy to report they deliver the same great coffee and service here in La Crescenta :) The shop has plenty of seating both inside and out, we enjoyed the opportunity to have our drinks inside :) The staff was very friendly, helpful and the drinks came out nice & quick. This is my second time having Reborn Coffee and it is great, I even bought a bag of beans for home :) I had a Flat White which was just right... rich, smooth & the correct temperature! My son ordered a Chagaccino, which is a mushroom & coffee drink, I tried it. Not my thing, not everything needs to be, but he loved it so check it out if you are looking to try something different. We didn't have any food but what I saw sure looked good and they have a lot of vegan options & milk alternatives if you're looking for that :) The shop was very clean and the staff were masked & gloved. Worst and laziest coffee experience in LA County. I come here a lot and spend a lot of money on overpriced coffee...fairly typical for LA. $1 for oat milk instead of regular milk in a cortado is laughable but even acceptable considering it's LA. But consistently pre-closing more than 2 hrs before you close everyday is stupid. It's just pure laziness by the staff or the standards procedures aren't set up to serve customers but to serve the employees getting out a few min earlier. All their pastries are taken off the shelf before 5p even though they close at 7p. They'll say oh yea we still have them but then they'll also say "our oven isn't working" because they already cleaned it and don't want to have to re clean it. Basically half of their products are unavailable after 4p because they're lazy and are NOT a customer first company. So sad. Service is always bad in LA county but la Crescenta use to be the last corner that had any normalcy for customer service...not anymore. I hope the OWNER read this because I'm not coming here any more. You're already losing revenue on all the products you can't sell because your staff wants to close down early. Why should I pay $6 for a cortado that my keurig could make better. At least my keurig doesn't have an attitude and still ask for a tip. I have been coming here for years and they do a terrific job of curating quality beans from around the world. I always go with a cold brew which they normally have several options for and that rotate often. I went with the Glowy Gesha which I was told is an ethiopian plant grown in Columbia and it has a really unique fruity flavor profile. Unfortunately they did not have these beans as an option as they just ran out but the cold brew hit the spot. My friend and I always come here. We came in and politely said our usual order after waiting a few minutes to be helped. Nathan, the person taking our order, immediately snapped at us when we just asked what sizes they have, saying "Let me put the order in first. You're bombarding me with questions." I initially thought this was a joke but was so shocked by his tone of voice that I just went silent for a minute staring in disbelief at my friend. This was possibly the weirdest encounter I've ever had. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and just assumed he was having a horrible day but he was so rude and off-putting that we decided we'd never return. I had a dirty chai, and it was SO GOOD and I'm pretty picky about because I want the best- not too syrupy or too spicy, sugary or fake tasting. This was on point. We had the breakfast burrito, and didn't really like it. Just had some serious spices and sauces that didn't agree with me...but my husband seemed to like it! It's not your classic breakfast burrito but I still say it's worth a try. I came in for a second time and was feeling cold brew. Thought "simple and fast" and saw there were SIX cold brews on top. The guy behind the counter was really nice and recommended the chagaccino (mushroom coffee) since I was looking for something without sugar (is sweetened with monk fruit iirc) but ended up ordering the Chaga Matcha instead. Was very good and surprisingly the flavors went well together, had an earthy taste. The seating is limited but outside was very nice especially as this late in the day it got a bit stuffy inside. I'm giving 2 stars for two reasons 1. The two young girls working there were so sweet and friendly. 2. I don't drink coffee so to be so harsh on a review about their coffee wouldn't be fair. But the $10 breakfast sandwich... it's not even freshly made. The egg is disgusting and it's literally two strips of bacon in the whole thing. What a waste of money. I only stopped here because i would rather support a small business vs one like Starbucks (which i literally passed a block away) but this was an absolute joke.
