We love love Reborn coffee, they take their time to make the best coffee drinks. Quality coffee makes a difference and staff is ALWAYS AMAZING, very nice location

So incredibly disappointed today. Wasn't expecting to step into a "bro house" with a bunch of college age kids spending more time chatting than working. With a line out the door you would think they would put more hustle into their work. But no chatting and making jokes as if we're all invisible. I waited 15 minutes for my drink and although my latte was good I'm too annoyed to actually enjoy it.

I always get a latte, but today I tried the new matcha blueberry bliss. So good! Their latte is great too.

Cute little coffee shop in la crescenta area, opens till 7pm. We got a chai latte and a matcha, chai was pretty good, it had a good chai flavor without it being too sweet. The matcha was whatever, it didn't have that deep matcha flavor that I wanted. The service is really good, the girl was very patient and polite with us, we came 10 mins before closing time and asked her alot of questions :) I haven't tried their coffee yet, so I'll probably come back to try it!

Customer service was very nice! The matcha however is very.. bad. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk. I taste no strawberry or matcha. The drink tastes like water and oat milk. They also charge extra for oat milk. I will come again but to try the coffee. I do not recommend matcha from here.

I would give my experience a 3.5 but I am rounding up to a 4. My family and I were driving through town and decided to look up somewhere to grab a treat. We stopped by around 4pm. The cafe seemed pretty lively. My sister got a pastry (there were only two pastries left). We asked the barista for his recommendation for drinks and he suggested a cinnamon roll latte (his go to). I ordered mine half sweet with extra ice and oat milk - very good! My only complaint about my visit is the cafe itself seemed very unclean, the restroom & coffee shelves seemed like they were not taken care of in a while. The drinks and service were great but I would consider revisiting as a customer due to the unclean restroom and cafe.

Not often in the area, but this time I was and I was in need of my mid day pick me up. One of the only stand alone coffee shops in the area, so we decided to give it a try instead of going to one of the many Starbucks. Located in a shopping center with decent parking. The coffee shop itself was decently big and adequate if you're looking for a space to get work done or study. Ladies working the espresso machines and cash register were cordial and efficient. Decided to try both their matcha and a typical vanilla latte. The matcha drink was good and looked more concentrated than others I've had recently. Could be from the type of ceremonial grade matcha they use, or they used a higher gram amount. You could definitely taste the complexity of the matcha itself within the drink, even with the strawberry added. If you're looking for a stronger matcha flavor with less sweetness, I'd recommend coming here. Now onto the vanilla latte. Wasn't able to peak and see the type of syrup they use, but this latte was very enjoyable. Though no flavors of either coffee or vanilla stood out as a wow factor, they both complimented each other very pleasantly. Not too sweet and not too milky. This latte was done just right. If I'm looking for a reliable iced latte, I'd come here anytime. 4.6/5

Reborn is my fave coffee shop lately. I love getting the chaga matcha latte with almond milk. The baristas are nice and I like the music that's playing. The print out menu next to the register is updated much more than the menu on the wall.

Interior. Has a little cute space with additional seating to the side.

Very cute coffee shop I stumbled across while I waited for my car to be fixed. It is located in a small plaza with ample parking. It's early in the day, so I cannot say how busy it can be when looking for a parking spot. Ordered an iced Nutella latte. I would get it again, but there is barely a hint of that Nutella flavor I'm looking for. If I'm in the area, I'd stop by and try out something else as I'm sure everything would be good. Extremely friendly staff!

Open airy and not loud. Coffee hits the spots. The bagel sandwich hits the spot. Next to my fave lagree studio, Lab Lagree. Only gripe is wifi connection is spotty as hell. Could not do anything. It keep disconnecting and the place was not full at 8am. So not good for work or study if you need to.

I like that there is this option nearby for folks who want to support an alternative chain coffee business. Taste and Quality - Reborn promotes itself as "fourth wave" coffee yet the taste of the cappuccino this morning was unfortunately slightly burned. The bag of coffee was $22 and no certification of fair trade, b corporation logos that I could find. The coffee bag I purchased was better in flavor than the espresso. Plant Based Options - They charge higher for plant based milks vs skim or regular dairy milk for total of ~$6 for each cappuccino. Customer Service / Vibe - I got there early around 6:50am, I was one two customers beyond the person sitting down already. I got no acknowledgement even as I get to the register. I said "hi" and he responded. Another person came in after me as I waited for my cappuccinos, and noticed that again neither staff member acknowledged him and they left him hanging by the register for a few minutes while cashier put away pastries into the baked goods glass showcase. I appreciated that they open earlier than other coffee shops, and what looks like a nice play for working or studying but with the vibe and the not so great espresso, I will not go back.

Ricotta cake is sooo good here. It was the perfect pair to my iced oat latte to start off my morning yesterday.

Stopped by Reborn Coffee and wow, I'm officially obsessed with their lavender latte. Smooth, perfectly balanced, not too sweet. You can taste the quality. The staff was so friendly they made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The coffee shop was so cute, urban, and clean. Only complaint? I wish there was one in Sunland, because I'd be there daily.! This spot is a gem.

It has that warm, neighborhood-coffee-shop feel that's getting harder to find. The cashier took the time to walk me through the menu and pastry options, which I really appreciated. I landed on the Lil Sumtin' flat white -- made with an herbal and floral honey blend -- and it was absolutely delightful. Paired it with their gluten-free pound cake, which was surprisingly moist and delicious. No compromises on flavor whatsoever. Bonus points: very dog friendly, street parking available, and a small shared lot with neighboring small businesses that I'm already planning to explore on my next visit. Altadena still has such a special energy that proves its motto Altadena Strong and Unincorporated fits right into it. Highly recommend stopping in!

Once you step inside, though, the space feels completely different--bright, airy, modern, and open, with a clean minimalist design. Seating is very limited, but the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with light music playing softly in the background. We were greeted with smiles and friendly hellos as soon as we walked in, and the employee who took our order was both knowledgeable and welcoming, happily answering questions about the coffee offerings. One thing we really appreciated was that they paired each coffee with a small sample of the dried ground beans so you could smell the aroma before taking your first sip. It was a fun and unique touch that enhanced the tasting experience. My husband's Emerald Series La Roca Sidra iced pour-over had a sweet, red wine-like aroma, while my Emerald Series Chiroso Imperial iced pour-over offered deep floral notes of jasmine and rich caramel. For food, my husband ordered the avocado mushroom open-faced toast, and I got the avocado mushroom smoked trout open-faced toast topped with cucumber, pickled red onions, and dill. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coffees were especially memorable and showcased the care that goes into their roasting and brewing process. The only downside for us was the price. While the quality of both the food and coffee was excellent, we felt the portions were on the smaller side for what was charged. Overall, The Boy & The Bear offers delicious specialty coffee, thoughtfully prepared food, friendly service, and a chill atmosphere. If you're looking for a unique coffee experience and appreciate the nuances of specialty beans, it's definitely worth checking out.

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.
