I should have checked the reviews before coming here!! I ordered the Baja Chicken Sub and Fried pickles. Somehow this totalled $28.25 which is far too over priced for the food quality!!!! The sandwich tasted like it was made with cheap chicken and was drowning in salad dressing on a sweet roll. There was nothing fresh about this sandwich. The friend pickles were ok, too much salt and again way over priced and dripping in oil. The menu didn't list a price for the pickles so I guess they cost the same as the $13 sandwich. I'll start with the good. Pizzas and service are still great. I still stand behind the salad bar being one of the best. The bad. The games/machines have severely declined in maintenance. Maybe half work correctly, another 25 percent do not give you tickets or eat your tokens and the other 25 don't work. Stopped here for a pit stop to let my family eat. Just beware that they will try to charge you for a WATER CUP. $2.99 to be exact. ANOTHER, ANOTHER wrong order from Red Baron - ordered 1/2 spaghetti 1/2 ravioli, I got a half order of ravioli NO SPAGHETTI! At least it was good. When I talk to the owner/manager about wrong orders, he just looks around, probably not even listening to my complaint. I live three blocks from Red Baron, but I think Route 66 Pizza Palace will have my business from now on (they have never gotten an order wrong), but they are two miles away. Had the chance to be great, must say customer service was good as they gave us a discount on the pepperoni pizza. However they severely missed the mark on the food. We payed $108 for 3 pizzas and 2 cookie pizzas, 2 of the pizzas were supposedly specialty pies. I might go as far as to say this was some of the worst pizza I've ever had. I've had better quality food at lil Caesars and dominos. The two specialty pizzas were the BBQ chicken and Meat Lovers. I wouldn't have payed for these pies had I known what I would discover once I got home. The BBQ chicken was visibly wet and had a pool of what we guessed was water and oil in the middle of it. The meat lovers was undercooked, and the meats were of very crappy quality. The order took longer to make than expected, and you could tell they rushed the process in order to get it out. Probably why it resulted in the awful product. The cherry on top was as the ambiance inside. While we ended up trying to make the best of the situation, we decided to try and play the air hockey in the arcade. Which took our tokens, worked for about 10 seconds and then the air turned off. Then, my girlfriends dad went to play the ski ball and proceeded to not give any tickets. Seriously, go to dominoes or Pizza Hut before you eat here. Absolutely the worst pizza deal I've ever had! I should have known when a Saturday at lunch time the place is empty. A one topping (pepperoni) 14" pizza was $16.99 and over $19.00 with tax. Perfect place to stop with kids on the way to Vegas or Utah! Plenty of space to sit and eat and a good size arcade for kids to play games. The stater bros next door gives cash back with a purchase so you can go there to get out money if you need it. Pizza came out fast and the kids loved it. The service was excellent and the woman working there was kind enough to let my kids pick out a little prize (even though they didn't have enough tickets). Always a integral part of our drive from California to Las Vegas. Ordered two salads and a small combo pizza. We wanted the salad bar but they closed it before we got in at 8:00 pm on a Monday. Salad was good as it a mix of greens and did not just have iceberg lettuce. Pizza was really good. We normally come with four and order the large and the crust is not as crispy as the small we ordered. It could use a tad more sauce though. read more

The wine is served in a plastic glass, the largest plastic glass I've seen at a restaurant lol I agree with Tyler, this is the Chuck E. Cheese of Barstow...the pizza though, it's so good. The staff needs some work. I called to order and was put on hold for 15 mins. I hung up and called back. Again on hold 10 mins. When I did order, l was told would be 30 mins. I went at 30 mins and had to wait another 20. I saw a lady cook come out of kitchen all sweaty and washed a rag in the soda machine. Nasty!!! The health department needs to know no water in kitchen. The one girl at the counter was all covered in hickeys. Not very professional at all. The tables where all dirty in the restaurant and trash all over the floor. The restroom was even dirtier. I didn't even want to use it. The salad bar had flies all over it and lettuce looked all welted. I hope I dont get food poisoning from my pizza tonight. At first I was afraid, I was petrified.... That I would have to eat lunch in Barstow. After a downtown drive by, we still couldn't find any where that we could eat. So, we ended up here because at least I could get a green salad and a meatball for my kid. Nothing was all that good. The meatballs made my husband burp grossness for a day. This is the best place to eat in Barstow in my opinion. I have ordered from Red Baron three times now and all three ordered have been very good. There marinara sauce is a little sweet, you can tast the brown sugar, but the meat sauce is vey good and chunky with veggies, there Alfredo sauce is good as well, but when I order Alfredo I ordered a side of meat sauce and mixed them.... my lord! It was fantastic! I've pizza is very good as well, the crust has a ton of flavor and the ingredients taste fresh on the slice I had. The mafia bread is excellent as well, and their salad bar was extremely clean with good variety. I've eaten at fire house in Barstow, which is supposed to be Italian, and it was bland and cold with small portions, I would highly recommend going to Red Baron over paying almost twice as much for sub par food from fire house. Spaghetti very bland no taste at all, cheese bread was beyond greasy and also bland, the Calzone was under cooked still doughy with no cheese and thrown together toppings on the inside. This place is very mediocre for a non corporate pizza spot. I also see a lot of high stars idk why they're are plenty of great tasting hole in the wall pizza places and Red Baron certainly isn't one of them. I ordered here today and got a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and extra cheese. I loved it and I couldn't stop eating it. I also ordered mozzarella sticks which weren't all that great, but I didn't care because I only came for the pizza. The pizza tastes homemade which is nothing like a Pizza Hut or Dominos pizza. I'm feeling very "ripped off". Stopped in here yesterday for a pizza for my little boy's birthday. I should have known better; I hadn't been in for at least five years because the last experience was so bad: a pattern that has repeated itself a few times in the past twenty-two years we've been here. With each change of ownership and management, this place has just gotten worse and worse. Ordered a "party" (18") pizza. The prices here are higher than anyplace else in town, but I sucked it up. Was told it would be ready in fifteen minutes; it was closer to twenty-five. As I waited, I overheard someone calling in and being told what the "pick up" specials were. That's when I found I could have had two 16" pizzas with two toppings each for what I paid for one 18" with one topping. Apparently, you have to ask about the specials; otherwise, they don't share the information. Neither the dim little girl or the non-English-speaking "manager" were able to understand why I was not happy. Got the pizza home, and it was under-baked: the crust was not cooked through, even with the extra time required. Good job, Red Baron: you won't see me again even after another five years or so. Avoid this place; its staff are simply incompetent. read more
