I'm feeling very "ripped off". Stopped in here yesterday for a pizza for my little boy's birthday. I should have known better; I hadn't been in for at least five years because the last experience was so bad: a pattern that has repeated itself a few times in the past twenty-two years we've been here. With each change of ownership and management, this place has just gotten worse and worse. Ordered a "party" (18") pizza. The prices here are higher than anyplace else in town, but I sucked it up. Was told it would be ready in fifteen minutes; it was closer to twenty-five. As I waited, I overheard someone calling in and being told what the "pick up" specials were. That's when I found I could have had two 16" pizzas with two toppings each for what I paid for one 18" with one topping. Apparently, you have to ask about the specials; otherwise, they don't share the information. Neither the dim little girl or the non-English-speaking "manager" were able to understand why I was not happy. Got the pizza home, and it was under-baked: the crust was not cooked through, even with the extra time required. Good job, Red Baron: you won't see me again even after another five years or so. Nothing is good here..customer service is mediocre...food is aweful...the pizza sauce tastes more like a mix of chili or enchilada sauce...everything is half assed A better Pizza choice would be Pizza Hut...Di Napolis...or Domino's....what should be done is for STRAW HAT PIZZA to come back...they were The Best read more

I've ordered delivery multiple times from this place and they're always decent... until last night. I ordered the medium pepperoni pizza with a side of hot wings. The driver was on time which was good, but he forgot a pen. No biggie. The pizza was luke warm and the wings were caked with franks hot wing sauce along with a side of liquid grease all marinading in a aluminum foil pan. Red Baron Pizza used to be a good place to get a good pizza at a fair price, but not anymore, I understand having to raise prices but to raise them and give you less is ripping people off When you charge $2 extra for a thin crust and thin crust means less dough then you are being ripped off. I guess when you change ownership you also change recipes because the pizza tastes like cardboard now and that's another reason why I will never eat there again. I don't know what some of these people are complaining about, we have been eating at the Baron for years, thru different owner, and have never gotten a bad meal. The waitresses are always helpful, ne3ver complained about anything, always had good service, the food for us is fantastic, and oh yes, they do use imported spaghetti. My wife and I are elderly, 85 & 90 and they have always for many years taken good care of us. We had the spaghetti tonight with salad and as usual it was perfect, and the garlic bread was something to really enjoy. Pizza is great. Tuesday specials are even greater. What's not great is being put on hold for long periods of time when trying to order.

I waited 38 for a pizza and finally asked for reimbursement. Manager never came out to apologize and was definitely working.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! first off games either dont work , dont give out tickets! not fun for the money's worth . went back to my table and my order number was gone . never brought me my drinks ....had to ask for the cups after 20 minutes of playing games waiting on my food just to find out they gave my order to another family . I then asked for a manager to ask why my food isn't delivered after seeing all the customers after me already with their food. all he could say was that he was sry. I asked what he does for his customers in these circumstances and he didn't do anything for me . I had a spaghetti dinner here tonight with meat sauce. Chrissy took my order, no people skills at all, she was very grumpy. She left the counter to go in the kitchen, she has my ATM card with her. Typical small family run pizza "parlor." Overall good food (subs, pizza, pasta, salads). I've been going here for years, I've never met a non-English speaking manager. They serve wine and beer; nothing special, but it's nice, if you'd like to have one. Small pleasant dining room (with a small TV). They advertise "imported pasta," could very well be; I don't know, but I do know that I really enjoy their spaghetti ("full portion" is hugh). Located in the Stater Bros. shopping center, about one mile east of the Barstow Rd exit, just south of the I15; also large parking area, accessable to RVs, trailers, etc. A lot of small stores here, good for travelers who need to replenish their supplies, wash clothes. Love it!! Looking for a place to get some food in Barstow. Not the gastronomical place to aim for. We yelped to find a place which took us close to Red Baron. The parking lot in front was full which tells me the locals love it. We went in. A dive. Old sticky tables, an odd layout. We sit. And become pleasantly surprised. Wonderful service, delightful waitress! She recommends a couple dishes. We were served with a cold, crisp salad of very fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh shredded cheese. The order of chicken, mushroom alfredo on penne was awesome. The sauce was made onsite, not cloying with thick, artificial flavors but robust with cream, cheese and garlic and fresh ground pepper. My dinner mate orders the spaghetti and ravioli combo. Along with lots of cheesy garlic bread. I brought home the leftovers for a second meal. Very, very reasonable. Wish it was closer! I recently took my kids and extended family here. I hadn't been here in well over the last 5 years if not more because I had moved across town, plus I wanted an actual salad bar. I'd recently seen a commercial advertising they now had a salad bar, larger eating area with additional video games. While yes, there is additional space and more game for the kids those don't make up for the fact that the pizza tasted like they used spaghetti or plain bland tomato sauce on it. Plus the salad bar left a lot to be desired since it IS NOT like their other store (Route 66 Pizza.) They used bagged, DRY, lettuce, not the fresh greens you get on the other side of town, and the dressing was like water. (You'd think all that water would help the taste or texture of the lettuce but nope.) Just because you up the ante on new seating and games doesn't mean you - the owners - should skimp on quality of food and service. (Oh yeah, the service wasn't so great and I had to argue with the owner just to get the to-go pizzas I had already ordered and paid for.) Without good food and service no one has a reason to come sit in your place or play your games. For me, I'll stick with Route 66 Pizza and DiNapoli's. read more
