You have to tell them how spicy you want the dish otherwise it's at the discretion of the chef. Food's good, but the service sucks. Been to this place six times, and the servers always stand around. Their English is pretty awful and we always get some order wrong. Ripoff! This sh1t is for the birds. I went in for dinner and ordered 42 dollars worth of food. Spicy garlic fish fillet, spicy eggplant, shrimp and tofu, and beef rolling roll. The food came out unexpectedly fast, literally 8 min and we had everything we ordered. Ok first thing I notice, the FILLERS. So much fillers barely any fish. The shrimp from the shrimp and tofu dish looked spoiled/black. Only 4 pieces of shrimp and everything else is straight tofu! WTF. 12 bucks for 4 pieces of shrimp, two of which was questionable to say the least. No thanks! The fish was chopped up so fine that if I were to piece the fillet back together you might get 2 1/2 full pieces. I don't know why people rave about this place but I would avoid at all costs, unless you want to get ripped off of course ;). Spend the time and drive down to SGV for some real food. read more

Came in on a Saturday with plenty of room to sit. Did not even begin to sit down yet and I was already asked what I wanted to drink. Came in wit the family and ordered 4 things. Had the hot pot with tilapia, stir fried garlic sword fish, dan-dan noodles and stir fried garlic chicken. Never had schechzuan before and will definitely have some more. It is spicy but good spicy were u can still taste the flavor of each ingredient. They are not shy about loading up on dry red chilli and pepper corns. read more

Went here compulsively for some time to get the hot pot and yu xiang qie zi, a kind of Sichuan eggplant dish. Hot pot is good, quality-wise, but a few weeks ago they increased their prices by A LOT, making for an $80 dinner for three where it had previously been something like $45-50. Pros: Aside from that price issue things are usually great. The food is truly authentic, and is the only authentic Chinese food I've had outside of China. That includes a lot of searching in NYC area. Very impressive on that count. The staff is kind and humorous, and the boss in charge is the man. Cons: Price has gone up a lot recently for hot pot. They are often out of things as well. Sometimes it takes a while to get a table and usually food is fairly slow. read more

I got the crispy rice dish; I thought it would be fish or chicken covered in crispy fried rice; rather, it was this fish/chicken/veggie thing poured over what looked like Rice Crispy squares. First timer. One of my friends really likes the food here. We had it to go. It was really a disappointment for the lamb blabla. *forgot the name* it was too salty (*I usually love salty food. But when I complain saying it's too salty, well you know what it means...) I like the chicken cubes. We only ordered these two stuff, so I don't think I'm making quite a fair comment. I am really excited that this place opened up, the food is delicious! So the service could use a little work but maybe they are just trying to get into the swing of things since they just opened. What is great about this place is that they can make pretty much everything on the menu as spicy as you want. I have noticed alot of places kinda hold back on the spicy no matter how much you beg for it! The spicy crawfish was fantastic, super spicy with lots of veggies like onions, potato's, lotus root and bell peppers. Kung Pao shrimp was also very good and I would definitely order it again. I also enjoyed the Beef with Chinese celery, it had a nice kick to it. My mom and son do not enjoy spicy food so they had chicken fried rice which they both really enjoyed. Haven't tried any other Asian restaurants in the area, after trying this place I was sold. They have a bar area for side dishes - the pickled cucumbers and the seaweed are my favorite. The fish filet with pickled vegetable soup is a good starter also. As for entrees, I can't seem to stray from the Kung Pao shrimp (the shrimp is battered then fried before stir frying with the sauce, which makes it hold flavor better) and the fried fish with tomato sauce. I know, the latter sounds weird/gross, I thought the exact same thing when I first heard of it, but then I tried it and now I can't go here without ordering it! This place isn't as good as it seems. It is authentic food and we really didn't expect anything bad but the food didn't have much flavor. I was craving some dim sum and decided to stop here to try. My boyfriend and I ordered dim sum for take out. I grew up eating dim sum. I've had dim sum from many different restaurants but this place gave me the worst experience. I ordered the shrimp har gow(shrimp dumplings), siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings), xiao long bao (soupy pork dumpling), shrimp and chives dumpling, char siu bao, and egg yolk bun. The siu mai was old and hard and had a funky taste. The xiao long bao was probably the worst for me. The first dumpling I put in my mouth tasted like feet so I spit it out. So I tried a different one and it was ok up until the point when I reached the filling. It was so salty, it tastes like they left it in soy sauce for days. The bread for the baos were hard and old, literally every bao was hard. The har gow and shrimp and chives dumpling were the only decent ones but that's not saying a lot because its less than ok, barely edible. I was already disappointed when I saw the size of the dumplings so maybe the taste of the food would be good. I was wrong. And this was not cheap. I wish I could get my money back. After all this, it left a funky taste in my mouth and a loss of appetite. read more

This reasonably priced and authentic Szechuan style restaurant is a fantastic addition in Rancho Cucamonga! They are located in the same plaza as the 99 Ranch Market which is very convenient. Even the services was great! I went with my family on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. We ordered the Stir Fired Pork with Dried Bean Curd, the Fried Dumplings, and the Mini Pot with Pork blood, Pork Intestines Strips Vegetable. All dishes were very delicious! The Mini Pot was so good that we took the sauce home and got more ingredient to add. Voila! Dish #2 for another meal! I've been waiting a year to eat here again. I stumbled upon this place the one time I inexplicably found myself in Rancho Cucamonga. And it's haunted me ever since. Now Kung Pao chicken may be the most overused and bastardized dish in the Chinese-American cannon, but the way it is done here is truly magical. I had to get it again, even though I knew I was doing myself a disservice by not trying the other menu items. Steamed fish and bean curd (tofu) in hot sauce? Exceptional. Spicy, flavorful, healthy: everything I could ask for in a dish. The local flavor lamb is also delicious, spiced with a heavy amount of chili, cumin, and Sichuan peppercorn (which numbs the mouth slightly, odd but addictive). Really, any dish with "chili" or "cumin" in the name is a must-try. Service is solid: not the nightmare other reviews make it out to be. Food always comes fast and freshly prepared. Did the restaurant change owner??? We didn't see the tall nice owner and his wife there the last couple times we went. And we also noticed the customer service is going downhill... so today we went for an early dinner, me and my family, a group of 9 people. I asked the waitress if we could sit at the big table that had a lazy Susan on, she told me either sat the that oval table by the entrance or combined two small tables by the restroom. So we picked the oval one and had to rotate our dishes awkwardly! We ordered 9 dishes, with all the cups and plates, barely fit! I don't understand why she didn't sit at the big one cuz we didn't go during lunch or dinner hour. The whole time we were there no groups of 4 or more showed up. And they were stingy about the free items too! Before you could get a free item with ordering $38 or more, no matter you pay with cash or card. Now as long as you pay with card, no free item, even though you order more than $100. Anyway, food is still ok but I want the nice owner back!!!! Up until today I did not know the difference between Cantonese food and SiChuan food. I was of the opinion that I did not have a taste for "Chinese food" Thankfully my friends enlightened me about the difference. Today was a special day, so my good friends Leonard and Penny recommended we end the day at Red Chilli House. We ordered a cold noodle dish, a hot noodle dish, fried dumplings, green beans, lamp, kung pao chicken, and I can't remember what else. The restaurant is clean, the staff is courteous and take great care preparing the meals to perfection. What a wonderful ending to a great day. Our favorite dishes are fried chicken cubes, twice cooked pork, dried pot with shrimps, wontons in chili sauce and stir fried pork with bamboo shoot, and green onion pancakes.
